This is a popular highlighter and I sometimes mix a small amount with my foundation for a glowing look. I do really like this and this small bottle lasts the longest time. I’ve heard about a couple of pretty good dupes so I’m going to pick up those to see how they stand up. I like having this in my collection as it is a versatile product and I like the dewy look. My skin is quite dull naturally & I like to make it brighter and healthier looking and Benefit high beam is perfect for that.
I’ve two of these, one in light to medium & the other in bronze to dark. I picked them up in the poundshop and the dark shade is a little too dark unless I am tanned (that’s not often). The light to medium shade is good for covering spots but not for under eye as it’s a little too dry and is hard to blend. I have dehydrated skin under my eyes and this just settles in my fine lines. I wouldn’t pay full price for it.
I’ve spoken about this quite a bit on my blog and have grown to really like it. It’s a short time fix & it’s not a concealer that lasts all day I use it when I’m just popping out for a couple of hours or I use a little bit before I put on my heavy-duty concealer. I like the feeling of the cold roller ball under my eyes. Its cooling and gives a little colour.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Every blogger owns this or has owned it I’m sure. I use the shade 2 light. I only use this on covering up blemishes and it lasts me for ages. It’s a complete bargain and recommend everyone try it.
Benefit Boi-ing industrial strength concealer
I use the shade 02 in this and have repurchased it on quite a few occasions I love it for covering redness around my nose, chin and a little on my cheeks. It is very long wearing and if you warm it up in your fingers it’s easy to blend. I always have a pot of this in my collection.
e.l.f Radiance Enhancer
I was quite shocked at how good this is. With budget beauty brands you don’t expect too much. I use this as a highlighter down my nose and under my eyebrows. It’s a pretty highlighter and is so cheap £3.75. I use the shade colour spotlight
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer & Sheer Finish Pressed Powder
I have the shade Warm Beige & Pale Yellow. I have mixed feelings about this. If I take the time to put this on properly it looks good. But I need to power it as it doesn’t last well on me. But I often don’t want to spend 15 mins putting it on and can look a little heavy if not blended well. I would repurchase this.
YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch
I love this on my cheekbones and in the inner corner of my eyes. It’s a lovely highlighter and makes a difference to my dull looking skin. If you blend it well you don’t need much product. If you can find this discounted then I’d buy it. I never pay full price for it.
Bobbi Brown Corrector
I have the shade light to medium Bisque. Now this I do like. I have very dark under eyes, they’re just naturally dark and always have been so to have a product you can use to counter that is great & this works so well. It’s quite thick so need warming up & its easier to blend. Don’t be tempted to use too much just blend well and it will work wonders.
Do you use any of these products? Or do have any concealer or highlighter recommendations.

It took a while to track both of these down – my Superdrug was always sold out and I can see why. They may look like your average blush / bronzer but they pack a punch. I was really impressed with them. I had them sat on my desk for a while waiting to take photos of them before I used them (I know I’m not the only one who does that). When I finally got round to using them I was really thrilled with the quality of them
As you know MUA is a brand with its emphasis on budget but they by no means scrimp on the quality. Both the Bronze Shimmer Kisses and the Pink Shimmer Kisses are £3 for 7.3g of product. Both have 4 colours to swirl your brush in for that perfect wash of bronze or blush. I have even been using the lightest colour for a brow and inner eye highlighter. They are quite the multi use product in my opinion. Which makes them even better value for money.
On the cheek they both give a lovely sheen – they’re not glittery at all. Infact they give a really nice shimmer. When the light hits your cheeks it makes you look fresh and glowing. I’m thrilled I picked them up and have purchased a couple for Christmas Presents.
If I had to pick one over the other I think It would be the Bronze Shimmer Kisses as I have really pale skin and this is the perfect colour for me and it gives me a little healthy colour during these colder months. Have you tried either of these? Do they work for you?

I saw Essie Button do a post on ‘Products that have hit pan’ – so I dug mine out and discovered that the’re mostly face powders. There were only 6 products in my collection that have hit pan. This must mean I don’t wear much makeup or I’ve too many products. Hmmmm I wonder which is true.
1. Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NW25 – This is my goto face powder. I use it on top of my foundation to give a little extra coverage and I love the finish it gives.
2. Pixi Eyeshadow Trio in Miranda - (gutted this is almost finished). I don’t think this is even sold anymore. It’s the old style packaging and I love it too. I’ve completely used up the lightest colour and am almost done with the other 2. It’s such a nice trio and I’ve enjoyed it a lot
3. e.l.f Clarifying Pressed Powder in Rosy Beige – This is just an easy alternative to using my Mac powder. I tend to pop this in my bag if I’m going out as I don’t mind if it gets damaged. It’s a nice powder and does the job.
4. Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light to Medium Bisque – This has been a great investment and I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it. I see such a difference in my under eyes when i have this on. It really makes them a lot brighter. I will be very sad when this runs out. I really recommend this if you suffer from dark or discolouration under the eyes.
5. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealor Kit in Warm Beige – This is an OK product some days I like it and others it annoys me. I think when my under eyes are a little dehydrated then it really settled in the creases & looks bad but when my skin is OK it looks really good. I’m still undecided as to whether I’m going to repurchase. What are your thoughts on it?
6. Benefit 10 bronzing and highlighting duo – I use this so much. It is also the only bronzer / highlighter i take on my hols. It’s an old faithful and it never lets me down. I’ve hit pan on the bronzer side but its only a matter of days until I see pan on the highlighter side too. This looks so lovely on the cheeks. I will be re purchasing this for sure.
What products have you hit pan on?

The lovely Grace from all that slap kindly picked this beautiful NARS Foreplay Blush Palette up for me & I thought i’d take some quick photos of it before I head to Amsterdam (I will be there from Tues-Sat).
I’ve heard mixed thoughts on this blush but from what I’ve seen so far I’m love with it. I haven’t had any real chance to use it so I won’t talk too much about the ins and outs of it. I just wanted to show you how lovely it was. I will do a proper review when I return from Amsterdam on Saturday.
The palette has 4 shades in and they are -Peach Matte Blush, Gold Highlighting Blush, Pink Matte Blush, Orgasm Blush. I do have Orgasm already and use that colour a lot. I’m most excited for the matt pink shade and the gold shade. I’m always on the look out for a good highlighter to add a glow to my cheekbones. The other colours are pigmented and are a great quality. As you would expect with NARS products.
Ooooo look at it in all its pretty glory. This will be so handy for travelling, I really like the size its quite compact but still giving you a good amount of each blush. You won’t need to bring any other blushes/highlighters. Perfect.
You can buy this from SpaceNK for £39.50 and you get 10g of product. Let me know if you have tried it or are thinking about purchasing it. I will be taking it with me to Amsterdam and I’m looking forward to using it.

I purchased this little Avon blush a while back and have been really enjoying using it. Avon has become quite a big part of my makeup collection this year as they’ve released some fantastic products and they’re so well priced. I have been ordering from my Avon lady like a crazy woman.
This blush duo is great, it has two colours one being a lovely highlighter colour perfect for your cheekbones and a the other colour is a soft pink which is perfect as a blush. It’s great having a two in one product, great for popping in your makeup bag and the packaging is sleek and quite compact too. Both colours are really pigmented and have great shimmer to them – it’s just such a lovely summery product and would look beautiful on tanned / bronzed skin tone.
I cant remember how much I paid for it and Avon don’t seem to offer this in their online shop?! Weird, but I’ve found it online for £6 – which is a great price. I have found the product to be lovely and soft and it applies really nicely to your cheeks / cheekbones and adds a flush of colour and brightness to your face. It sits really nicely on the skin and doesn’t look dusty or powdery on top of your foundation. Its very light and pretty.
So this has been my go to blush and highlighter this year. Its been working well for me and the colours last a good amount of time on the skin. It makes my cheeks look fresh and healthy. I really recommend it. I have the colour Golden Glamour and for £6 its a steel.
Have you been using any Avon products? Do you have any recommendations?
