NARS Foreplay Blush

My friend kindly picked this beautiful NARS Foreplay Blush Palette up for me & I thought I’d take some quick photos of it before I head to Amsterdam (I will be there from Tues-Sat).

I’ve heard mixed thoughts on this blush, but from what I’ve seen so far, I’m in love with it. I haven’t had any real chance to use it, so I won’t talk too much about the ins and outs of it. I just wanted to show you how lovely it was. I will do a proper review when I return from Amsterdam on Saturday.

The palette has 4 shades in, and they are -Peach Matte Blush, Gold Highlighting Blush, Pink Matte Blush, Orgasm Blush. I do have Orgasm already and use that colour a lot. I’m most excited about the Matt pink shade and the gold shade. I’m always on the lookout for a good highlighter to add a glow to my cheekbones. The other colours are pigmented and are a great quality. As you would expect with NARS products.

Look at it in all its pretty glory. This will be so handy for travelling, I really like the size, it’s quite compact but still giving you a good amount of each blush. You won’t need to bring any other blushes/highlighters. Perfect.

Let me know if you have tried it or are thinking about purchasing it. I will be taking it with me to Amsterdam, and I’m looking forward to using it.

I have also lost myself to the Olympics and have been utterly mesmerised by them. I even watched the shooting and the Beach Volleyball. Its been amazing. I watched some of the Athletics and the tennis at the big screen in Manchester and what a wonderful atmosphere.

So this is my week in Instagrams,

Jamies Italian in Liverpool, Olympics on the big screen,Kleenex shine sheets, Mac purchase, Sunday morning breakfast, Loving this combination Me Me Me Foundation and my sponge

Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets

I picked up these Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets when I was on a shopping spree in Superdrug. I wasn’t expecting too much from them as I’ve tried other brands version of these and never  been too bowled over by the results. I took them out with me on an exceptionally warm day and I’m so glad I did. I noticed that I was looking really oily and greasy on my forehead and chin – these sheets sorted that right out. I dabbed them on holding the sheet in place for a second or two just to absorb as much oil as possible and they really worked. They are powder free and they don’t take off any of your makeup.

They come in a great sized packet. Perfect to pop in your handbag and the sheets themselves are purple and have a pattern on one side. When you blot them on your skin they’re really soft and powder free as i said before and as far as i can tell they are scent free. They come in handy packs of 50 sheets so that should last a for a good amount of time. I paid £2.99 for mine from Superdrug but I know you can pick them up from Asda, Tesco and most supermarkets. So they are easy to get hold of if their not sold out.

I will be carrying these with me at all times. No more oily forehead for me! Have you tried anything else from this range?

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser – Rave

This is quite the miracle in a tube, it’s becoming my favourite exfoliator and I can’t remember where is came from. I’m sure it came in a Beauty Box but I’m not too sure either way I know I paid for it & I’m love using it.

I’ve really sensitive skin especially on my cheeks and so I’m often weary of using an exfoliator as a lot of them are just to harsh for my skin. Now I have found one that works well for me – the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. It’s really good for giving your skin a deep clean without leaving it stripped of its moisture and it’s not too abrasive. I had no irritation after using this and for someone with sensitive skin thats quite something.

It feels like a polish – it’s a very gentle (for an exfoliator) and is great if you suffer from clogged pores and dull skin. It helps wake it up and make it feel lovely and smooth. I look forward to trying a few more products from the Murad range. Have you tried anything from this company. What would you recommend?

I don’t use it more than twice a week just as my skin doesn’t like to be exfoliated too much. I also had to check what AHA & BHA were (bad beauty blogger) & this is what i found,

AHAs are preferred for sun-damaged and dry skin because they exfoliate on the surface of skin and have the added benefit of also improving moisture content

BHA is preferred for oily, acne-prone skin and for treating blackheads and white bumps

If you’re looking for a new exfoliator that’s gentle on sensitive skin then I cant recommend this enough. It costs £34 for 200ml and that will last you so long.
