Instagram Roundup Week #14

What a week it’s been so first off I was invited to a blogger event in London organised by Grace from All That Slap and Ewa from Social Beautify. We discussed high-end must haves & high street favourites too. It was nice to meet lots of other beauty bloggers and have a good old chat about makeup & skincare. I will have a proper post on the event as soon as my internet is connected.

I also moved into my new house on Friday, so I have been unpacking and sorting out for most of the weekend. I still have lots of boxes in the garage that need unpacking I just don’t have the mental capacity to open them yet. My internet won’t be connected until the 22nd so until then I’m on the slowest dongle connection.

I will upload some photos of the house and I’m hoping to have a beauty related blog up at some point this week. I just need to find the boxes with all my products in first. So in the mean time I will leave you with my week in Instagrams.

Home Sweet Home

Hubby driving the BIGGEST van known to man

Sorry for the silence but I moved on Friday & wont have the internet installed in my house until the 22nd Sept – SO annoying. I will try to get a few posts up but there is still so much to do. Moving is stressful. Although we are glad to finally be in. Thanks for all your sweet tweets & messages.

My love for bubblegum

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I picked this up after so many recommendations, I know I’m late on this bandwagon. My lips are generally dry and not great for lipsticks. I find the skin partially on my bottom lip to be flakey, esp in the drier months. So heading into Autumn and the colder days I thought it was high time I picked up a pot of this lip scrub to see what all the fuss was about.

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Well blow me down with a feather – is this not just a little pot of magic. First off it smells & tastes AMAzing!! That’s a fact. Now we can’t judge on smell and taste alone otherwise this wouldn’t be beauty related. But it does smell so nice, Bubblegum flavour is heavenly.

I put this on my lips before bed and give it a good rub with my finger and then smooth the rest in by rubbing my lips together. It feels odd but it really works. By morning my lips feel smooth. It’s weird being able to eat the excess scrub, but I like it.

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

This is one of those products you wish you’d been using all along. It now lives on my night stand along with all the other products I use before bed. It’s becoming quite a routine. I need to start coming to bed earlier and earlier! Please tell me I’m not alone in this & you all have a nigh-time routine that’s getting a little out of hand.

So my smooth lips now look a lot better with lipstick on – I’ve found that nude lipsticks look good on me now. These really used to show up my flakey lips & I never wore my Mac Hue lippy. These past few weeks I have really been enjoying it again. This Bubblegum Lip Scrub isn’t a fancy product nor an expensive one but it’s worked wonders on my lips and I shall be repurchasing this.

You can pick this LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub up from your local LUSH store or from their online store here for £5.25 you get 25g of product.

A little Glitter goes a long way

I am a complete sucker for a glitter polish. They always look so nice on and they last for ages on your nails. I did pop into Topshop to pick up a highlighter (post on that to come) and I saw the Louise Gray collection. Which is so nice. Lots of fun colours and statement makeup. I almost caved and bought the Mascara too, but I remained focused and just picked up this stunning pink glitter polish ………

Pinch Punch Nail Polish

This pretty polish is called Pinch Punch and it’s as I said a collaboration between British designer Louise Gray and Topshop. It’s a stunning pink coloured polish with gold and sliver hexagonal glitter in. It is just beautiful.

Pinch Punch Topshop Nail Polish

You can get away with wearing one coat of Pinch Punch and it looks lovely and subtle. With two coats the pink polish really coms through and the glitter is far more bold. Either way this polish looks stunning. I like it when the glitter is not uniform on your nails & it’s a little haphazard. It looks quirky and fun & that’s exactly what this polish is for me, it’s just fun to wear. I Love it. Have you tried anything from this collection? What do you think?
