‘Moeders’ Rozengracht 251, Amsterdam. Restaurant set up by three mothers. Walls are covered in pictures of people’s mothers (including mine!). The food was very heavy and meaty, but worth a visit just too see the walls!

we accidentally discovered a deli style cafe called the Bakers Winkle (yes, we giggled too) and could have moved in. Great service and amazing food. Official website here http://www.debakkerswinkel.nl/

We were also thoroughly impressed with the food on offer at the library of all places. It was bucketing down on the day we visited so the rooftop terrace was closed, but the view of the city is supposed to be spectacular.
