ESPA Nourishing Lip Treatment*

Lip oils seem to be the product of the moment and quite a few brands are releasing their version, from Clarins to GOSH. This ESPA offering is brand new and it doesn’t disappoint. It has a doe foot applicator which makes it easy and mess free to apply (even on the go). This oil feels extremely comfortable and soft on the lips, not at all sticky or greasy. I love using it throughout the day to keep my lips soft, give them that lovely glossy look and they feel hydrated for hours. This came in the July Little Known Box and it is a beautiful juicy looking colour for Summer. This is a boutique brand offering salon quality nail polishes at affordable prices. HJ Manicure have a lovely selection of 20 colours in their core collection and I have 2 colours but this Tropical Sunset is my favourite. Its a beautiful glossy orange, coral that has a super glossy finish. Its opaque in 2 coats and the formula is so easy to apply. Its just a lovely Summer shade and I am going wear it a lot this year. Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette

OK – how beautiful is this palette!? I am totally in love.The packaging is rose gold & the mirror is huge, which makes me very happy. This palette is available in four different shade options, Fair/Light, Light/Medium, Medium/Tan and Tan/Deep, I have the Fair / Light palette and it has everything you need to create a cute neutral look for fair skin (in terms of eye & cheek colours). You get 2 blush shades and 5 eyeshadows and they are all beautifully pigmented and so easy to blend. I like that there is a mix of matte, shimmer and pearl finishes.

In this Fair/ Light Palette you get the these beautiful shades

Eye Shades: Alluring (soft pale pink), Breathtaking (soft neutral white), Passionate (champagne pearl), Dynamic (soft taupe), Glamorous (warm chocolate brown)

Lancome Grandiose Eyeliner*

Now I really wanted to like this & I even used it for an entire week, trying to make it work for me. Sadly I just can’t seem to apply my liner very neatly with this. I love wearing liquid liner, I like a cat eye or just a simple very close to the lash line look but with this liner I found both of these so hard to achieve.

The actual flexibility of the eyeliner wand is what makes this liner different from most others on the market & I liked the innovation and concept, a lot! You adjust the handle which clicks in to place making it more ergonomic for applying the liner, that does take some getting used to but I can appreciate that it allows you to get a better angle for applying liner. I just don’t think it made it easier (for me).

The formula is a very deep rich matte black, which is great and the colour doesn’t fade throughout the day. The nib is flexible and tappers to a very thin point which is good for achieving that precise line, I just found it quite hard to work with and couldn’t get my liner to look as good as when using my trusty Soap & Glory Liner. I’m not writing this off, I think its more to do with the way I have learn’t to apply my liner over the past 15 years & I’m set in my ways. Change isn’t always good for me, I urge you to pop along to a Lancome counter so you can test the product, it might be just the liner you’re looking for. I am not going to let this beat me & plan on watch a few tutorials so I can attempt to master it.

Another instalment of Products Currently in Use, I have used up quite a few products and rotated a few new ones into the mix. So I thought I would share with you a couple of products that are currently in use in my bathroom.

Lacura Thermal Spring Shower Gel £1.99

I have tried a few products from this Lacura Thermal Spa range which is sold in ALDI stores & I have been impressed with all of them so far. This is my current shower gel & its lovely and gentle.This range is infused with natural thermal water to soothe and moisturise the skin. It smells nice and fresh, not overpowering or synthetic scent. It lathers up well and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and hydrated. If you don’t like to spend a lot on shower products then this is a bargain at under £2. I have almost finished this bottle & will be repurchasing it for sure. It’s very affordable and when it comes to skincare products Aldi seem to be delivering on quality.

Jurlique Clarity Hand Wash £27.00

This hand wash is such a treat & very luxurious. I have it in my kitchen, so not technically in my bathroom but I just adore using it. It has a blend of uplifting natural herbal extracts and essential oils, including primrose, macadamia and avocado, which provide pure nutrients to soften the skin. It has a beautiful creamy texture which leaves your hands feeling velvety soft and clean. I love the scent and you can pick out the lavender, patchouli and orange blossom, which smell beautifully uplifting. I know this is a very luxurious hand wash but its a HUGE bottle, this has been well used since November and I still have almost half a bottle left. So its pretty good value and the packaging is so sleek and minimal. This would make a nice housewarming gift or as an extra treat for yourself.

Liz Earle Grapefruit & Patchouli Cleanse & Polish

I’m a huge fan of the cult favourite original C&P but these limited edition ones are just a little bit special. This one has such a refreshing Summer scent and I have been really enjoying that. Its uplifting in the morning and as with the original its very gentle and you can rely on it to leave your skin clean without that tight feeling. Its suitable for all skin types and I highly recommend adding this to your skincare regime – even if its the original version, it won’t let you down. I will be sad when this runs out but I might just treat myself to their latest release.

Ogario Hydrate & Shine Shampoo* £16.50

I recently posted about this shampoo, its great at removing the build-up of product and dirt to leave your hair feeling refreshed and nourished. Without stripping it and leaving it looking dry and feeling squeaky clean. I have dark hair and It leaves my hair with a lovely glossy sheen and in tip-top condition. Ogario is a British based haircare brand that offers salon quality haircare and I am loving discovering their products. Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser* £18.00

I love the Rose Moisture Plus range from Jurlique and this didn’t disappoint either. This is a creamy cleanser which looks like mother of pearl when you first squeeze it out, you massage on to dry skin to break down any dirt, pollution and makeup then you use a damp warm cloth to remove all the residue. It is very gentle and has that beautiful light rose scent. It doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue or leave the skin feeling tight.

It has some great skin-loving ingredients including Jurlique’s exclusive blend of pumice and rosehip oil restores and rebalances your skin so it is polished to perfection, while willow bark cleanses impurities into oblivion so dull and sluggish skin is merely a distant memory. The pumice blend is so gentle that you can’t physically feel any texture but it gently exfoliates your skin leaving it looking radiant.

I was introduced to Mario Haircare a couple of months ago when I tried their lovely Restore and Shine Hair Masque, so I was excited to try another product from their range.

Ogario products have been developed exclusively by London-based independent salon and their products contain so many beautiful natural ingredients. In fact, all their products are made with naturally-derived, active ingredients and essential oils.

‘As many as eight essential oils are chosen for each of our shampoos, conditioners, and hair masque. But these unique blends are not only used to fragrance products. Many of the oils work alongside the naturally-derived active ingredients to give benefits to the hair and scalp. From stimulating the hair follicles to helping reduce breakage, these aromatic oils are carefully selected to help nourish and condition the hair and scalp.’

**Ogario Hydrate & Shine Shampoo* £16.50 / 250ml**

This award-winning shampoo is for people with dry / coloured hair, although my hair isn’t coloured it is quite dry and frizzy, so this is ideal for me. This shampoo contains some lovely ingredients that will help nourish, hydrate and add shine to your hair, including

Moringa Seed – Helps protect hair from environmental aggressors, deeply moisturising and conditions the scalp.
Pro Vitamin B5 – Prevents split ends and improves damaged hair.
Lavender – Great at repairing damaged hair and the scent is very soothing too.

This shampoo lathers up really well, allowing you to work the product easily into your hair & scalp. After using it my hair feels like I have removed all the build up of product (i use a lot of dry shampoo) and it feels ultra clean, not dry but very clean. I do have to use a conditioner with this, but my husband who has very dry hair said that he doesn’t need to always use one.

This leaves my hair with a gorgeous, glossy sheen and it feels so nourished. I loved the scent of the hair masque that I’d previously used from this brand, and I have to say this shampoo smells incredible too. It has quite a sweet citrus scent to it, which is quite refreshing in the morning. I don’t use this daily as for me, it feels more like a clarifying shampoo, twice a week works well for me. My hair looks less frizzy, more glossy and in better condition all round.

If you’re looking for salon quality haircare which will give your hair that nourished, glossy healthy look whilst also protecting it from damage and split ends then this shampoo might be a great option for you. If you don’t have dry hair, then Ogario also offer a great range of products for a variety of haircare needs.
