Despite Cornwall being SUPER busy with tourists & people trying to get a holiday in without travelling abroad, we have been trying to get out & about to enjoy what is on our doorstep. We have lived in Cornwall for almost 6 years now and have never visited Padstow, which is crazy because it is so close to us and is STUNNING. Everyone said it was beautiful and that it is jammed packed full of shops, restaurants and pretty scenery as well as having a very busy and bustling harbour. We spent the day exploring, relaxing and enjoying all the delights that Padstow has to offer. We landed lucky with the weather and decided to walk the 3 miles from Wadebridge to Padstow (and back) along the famous Camel Trail. Most people cycle this route, but we decided to take our time and walk. It was peaceful, and you had some incredible views across the river.
Here are a few of my favourite photos from the day, I took hundreds, and it was hard to narrow it down to the ones I am sharing. There was something pretty to take a photo of at every turn, the views, cottages, streets and businesses are all so quaint and photo worthy. I will 100% be popping back for a second visit – if only for another ice cream.
*Gifted. Tropic Skincare seems to be one of the best kept secrets in the beauty world, they’re a cruelty free all natural, British beauty brand that produce products of incredible quality and that actually give effective results. I have tried a few of their skincare, body care and makeup releases, and they always exceed expectations. I find myself recommending them to friends and family of all ages, it is skincare that you can really rely on.
So I have been trying out two of their serums, Glow Berry & Rainforest Dew. They’ve been helping hydrate and give my skin back it’s natural healthy glow.
I’d say my number one skin concern is dull skin, not all year round, but certainly over the darker, colder months. So having this brightening serum in my skincare routine these past few weeks has been wonderful for combating dark spots, uneven skin tone and giving my skin back its natural glow. This serum has a very fluid consistency, I apply it as part of my evening skincare routine and I keep it in the fridge as instructed by tropic as it keeps the active ingredients at their best.
Vitamin C – Which we all know is a fantastic ingredient in brightening skincare, it helps with pigmentation, boosts collagen production, protects against free radical damage and helps give your skin a natural radiant glow.
Kangaroo Paw Flower Extract – This plant is endemic to Australia and is fantastic at nourishing the skin, tightens and firms skin (which helps to minimise your fine lines) as well as targets the visible signs of ageing. So your skin will look and feel smooth and lifted.
Superberries – A powerful blend of antioxidant-rich strawberry, muntries, riberry (endemic to Australia) and Tasmanian pepperberry extracts give complexions a boost of radiance, help reduce hyperpigmentation and UV related sun damage. Boosting your skins radiance and healthy glow.
This is a really lovely nourishing, hydrating and soothing serum, I have found applying this as part of my morning skincare routine works well for me. It helps my skin retain moisture so it stays hydrated and soft throughout the day. I love the dewy effect it gives, it is great under makeup and the dewiness makes my makeup sit so well and look healthy all day long. Again it is very lightweight, similar in consistency to the Berry Glow serum, 3 drops is usually enough for my face. As with all Tropic products it is packed full of incredible natural skin loving ingredients,
Plant Peptides – encourage cell renewal, encourage collagen production and improve skins elasticity and plumpness.
Evergreen Fern Extract – This is a soothing ingredient, great for calming and reducing redness.
Hyaluronic Acid – This has become such a popular ingredient in skincare over the past few years, it helps skin retain moisture which keeps it plump, hydrated and replenishes tired looking skin.
Matcha Tea Extract -Wonderful at protecting and reducing the effects of free radicals on your skin. As well as being soothing and anti-inflammatory, so this combined with the evergreen fern extract really help calm and sooth.
So if your skin is in need of a serious moisture boost, especially over the Winter months then I highly recommend this Rainforest Dew Serum.
If you’re looking to include or add a new serum to your skincare routine these two options are pretty amazing. Glow Berry is ideal if you want to target more dull, fatigued skin and even out skin tone and the Rainforest Dew is for anyone that is suffering with dry skin or just loves that fresh, glowing look.

I have reviewed so many lovely Baylis & Harding products over the years & one of the things I love most about them are all the wonderful Festive Gift sets. This year they have so many affordable treats on offer. Their products make the most amazing stocking fillers and they do gifts for all of the family and really cater to all budgets too.
The great think about Baylis & Harding is you can find their products in most major supermarkets and also online at Amazon, which means you can pick up gifts whilst you do your food shop or from the comfort of your home. I find buying online is super convenient & it also means you can pick up last-minute gifts without having to trek into the Christmas shopping madness.
The affordable price point makes them my goto brand for beauty gifts all year round, but at Christmas, they seem to pull out all the stops and their packaging is so festive and luxurious. You can get everything from a small token gift to larger more special gift sets. They have some incredible new scents for Christmas 2018, including Frosted Christmas Tree & Mulberry & Mistletoe (super festive).
Baylis & Harding’s Fuzzy Duck Winter Wonderland Luxury Gift Basket makes a super stylish gift for all ages. It comes in a really beautiful red-gingham lined wicker basket (which will look so nice in your bathroom) it contains 2 of Baylis & Harding’s most popular pamper products and the most adorable little rubber duck.

I love that these products smell of Christmas, the scent is, Frosted Christmas Tree and Mulberry & Mistletoe which is a warm and wintry and I think really captures the essence of a relaxing, luxurious Christmas.
Baylis & Harding’s Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit Festive Trio of Treats has to be the perfect stocking filler or secret Santa gift. It is super affordable but looks way more expensive and it comes in a nice black and gold gift box and contains two bathing treats and a festive candle in stylish glass jar. The luxurious and balancing 100ml body wash leaves skin gently cleansed, while the indulgent 100ml Hand & Body Lotion both nourishes and moisturises. The Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit scented candle is refreshing and balancing with spicy and zesty notes.

The Beauticology Special Delivery Red Bathtime Fun Fizzers Set is a fun and festive stocking filler or secret Santa gift. I know a certain 10-year-old (my niece) that would be so excited to receive these in her stocking. It comes with four bath fizzers which are foil wrapped in red and silver and are in a candy cane themed tube! Super festive indeed.

If this festive red sequin clutch doesn’t scream Christmas Party I don’t know what does! The glitzy red sequin clutch would make the perfect festive party bag and you also get 3 body products in Baylis and Harding signature scents. Midnight Fig & Pomegranate is a slightly sweet, fruity scent with a real touch of luxury. The fig makes it smell really sumptuous and juicy whilst the blend of rich dark fruits give it a very festive fruity edge. The body spritz is the perfect size to pop in your handbag or weekend bag.

This is already in my kitchen and I am loving it. The scent is perfect for this time of year, it’s fruity and rich and the scent really lingers and makes my kitchen smell fab! You get a whopping 500ml so it will last for months. The handwash is enriched with nourishing vitamin E which will keep skin hydrated, so stock up on this new Limited Edition Festive Hand Wash whilst you can. You could keep one for yourself and give the others as stocking fillers & secret Santa gifts.
I had a similar, smaller version of this candle last year and it was my favourite product by far. It is so festive in its sparkling gold-embossed jar with stunning mini Christmas tree decorative lid. It is the details that really make this candle look so luxurious and very festive. The scent is light enough so you can have this candle lit in any room in your house and the scent lightly fills the room without being too overpowering. This is one product you need to either add to your Christmas List this year or buy for someone special & the good thing about the Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit scent is that it’s one of Baylis & Harding most popular scents.
So this huge, luxurious single wick jar candle gets my seal of approval and I think it would make the most impressive Christmas gift, especially if you’re on a budget but still want a gift that looks, smells and feels luxurious. Baylis and Harding really are excellent at affordable luxury.
Let me introduce to you two best-selling blemish busting (and more) skincare saviours from Vegan beauty brand Tropic Skincare. I have been so excited to talk more about these products as I have been using them for a couple of months now and have really grown to rely on them in my beauty routine, in particular, the Tamanu Healing Balm which is simply one product that will very quickly become a ‘does all’ product in your daily life. It really has an endless list of uses!
First off, lets talk about the Clear Skin Blemish Fighting Mask – the lovely team at Tropic sent this out to me because for the first time in my adult life I was suffering from some really large, sore, stubborn blemishes and I wanted to get rid of them before my birthday (very important to have clear skin on your birthday, especially when you’re turning 40). I was really at a loss at how best to reduce them and the lovely people at Tropic suggested this face mask & I haven’t looked back!
This bold green blemish busting mask is white & green clay based so it is great at drawing out all the build-up of grease, bacteria and pollution from your pores whilst working with bamboo charcoal to reduce oil and balance out your skin. I slather it all over my face at least twice a week – but when I have a blemish I quite often just apply this to that area, more of a targeted treatment and that really works well to reduce redness and also calm the inflamed spot. It contains so many lovely ingredients that will help you not only reduce blemishes & mattify skin but also keep the build-up of blemish-causing bacteria at bay, so you’re less likely to suffer from breakouts.
● Willow bark extracts, rich in beta hydroxy salicylic acids, travel deep into your pores to unclog built up sebum.
● Cayenne pepper and ginger extracts kill blemish-causing bacteria at the source.
● Green and white clays work to dry out spots and stop them from increasing in size.
● Charcoal and spirulina work to draw out toxins and tighten pores.
● Raspberry leaf and goji berry extracts reduce redness and calm skin.
Another pretty cool thing about this mask, besides the fact that it is gentle, doesn’t dry out your skin or leave it feeling uncomfortably tight is that it dries dark green in more oily areas with larger pores and it dries a lighter green in more balanced areas so you can quickly see where your skin needs a little help. For me, my oily areas are my cheeks & chin.
I saw a huge difference in my skin and I know I have this mask to thank for that. My breakouts are less frequent and I always use this Clear Skin mask as soon as a blemish starts appearing. That way I know it has more chance of not becoming inflamed and It clears all the bacteria and excess sebum build-up ASAP. It is a great mask to have in your beauty routine, especially if you suffer from oily skin that likes to breakout.
Now on to what I think is the star of the show – this is one of those beauty/skincare products you stumble upon very rarely that completely blows you away. It looks quite ordinary, apart from being green and all in one beauty balms often get overlooked because people don’t quite know how they fit into their routine but this new release from Tropic is EPIC. I have been singing it’s praises to family and friends since it landed on my doorstep almost 2 months ago.
So this skin-loving green balm is made with tamanu oil (also known as ‘green gold’), which is an age-old remedy trusted for centuries in the Polynesian islands to stimulate skin renewal, Tropic have blended it hydrating, soothing monoi and cocoa butters so it is hydrating and calming and if that wasn’t enough it also contains antioxidant-rich blackcurrant extract and raspberry seed oil.
So this balm has so many skin loving, healing and protecting ingredients. It really is the best multi-purpose product I have ever used. My favourite way to use it is as an eye cream because it is simply one of the most hydrating products I’ve used. I also dab it on the odd blemish to help calm and sooth the inflames skin.
I even took it on my recent trip to Amsterdam, in my hand luggage so I could use it on the plane. It does come in a handy 20ml travel size but I took my 60ml tub and I used it as my lip balm, eye cream, on my cuticles as well as on a few blemishes and a couple of pesky blemish scars. So I really put it to good use! I just love how hydrating, nourishing and gentle it is and I think it is incredible that it can be used in so many ways. It now comes everywhere with me!
