La Boîte å Photos from Cheerz

Cheerz is French company who love nothing more than to bring your digital pictures to life. Their products are a great way of printing your photos and they have so many fun and creative ways of doing that. I think it’s nice to have photos as a memory and if you’re like me I hardly ever get them printed these days.

With Cheerz you can print photos from your Instagram, Facebook, Dropbox or Camera Roll so you can select your favourites, upload them and pick how you want them printed. I picked photos from my Instagram feed and I’m so happy with how they came out.

I opted for the La Boîte a Photos* as it looked like a great way of being creative and I have always wanted to display my photos like this from cute string with mini pegs & this box gives you all the supplies that you need & if you’re feeling extra crafty/creative you can add a little extra flair with supplies you have at home. It’s that easy!

1. Choose 40 of your favourite photos
2. Customise them with cropping and filters
3. Receive your DIY home decorating kit
4. Let your creative juices flow!

You get a box full of treats including 40 photos which are incredible quality and very glossy. A sweet bag of mini wooden pegs, cute red and white string, washi tape and photo corners. It really is a great DIY project.

Get creative with your Instagram-photos

Next up I picked the Strip Photos*, these look like the kind you used to get in the old school photo booths. I thought they would make great bookmarks or frame on my desk.

1. Select up to 40 photos (4 photos per strip)
2. Customise your strips with border colours and filters
3. Add some text
4. Receive them all in a cute little envelope

These were so easy & quick to make – I tried to theme my strips so I have one with Amsterdam photos on, one with Cornwall photos, Christmas in Scotland, family & one with Liverpool photos on. I love how well these came out, the quality is perfect and they look bright and glossy.

Each strip is 9.8”(20cm) long and 1.8″(5cm) wide, containing 4 photos, each 1.6×1.6” (4x4cm). The strips are printed on high-quality matte paper and can be customised with orientation, border colour, filters, cropping and text to make them unique to you.

The prints come beautifully packaged and presented, I found the site very easy to use and I loved their selection of products. You have such a great choice of products from the standard Polaroid-style photos to the more fancy photo albums. Your prints feel luxurious and are printed in incredible quality. I was very pleased with the two products I picked and they were delivered within 2 days (and that was during the busy Xmas period).

Cheerz Photo Options

You can use the Cheerz app via the App Store or Google Play Store I used the Cheerz website which was easy to navigate & very quick to use. I have been impressed with the service from start to finish & I am already planning on using them for a few birthday presents over the next few months.

Why not print some of your memories & have them to keep. I think photos always make such a beautiful gift too, no matter what time of year and Cheerz have some really creative options for you. I have a discount code for you that will give you £4 off your first order. Use the code VICITK at checkout.

Grid of Skincare & Makeup #4

If you want to see my previous Grid Posts which I try to do every couple of months, they’re here & here

Skincare

This Bodhi Neroli Luce Face Oil is the first product I’ve tried from this brand, it came very highly recommended and so far after 2 weeks use I can say I really like it. It is very hydrating and keeps my skin balanced and it smells of summer. I want to try a few more things from them now!

ESPA Essential Cleansing Mask This is the mask I use on a Sunday night after a busy week, as it helps calm my skin and keeps excess oil at bay. It is a lovely mask and I’m glad I took the plunge and treated myself. I now look forward to relaxing on a Sunday night with it on.

If you’re looking for Organic skincare then U little Beauty* have you covered. Their enriching night cream* has helped brighten my complexion and keep my skin hydrated during these cold months.

The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Makeup Remover – This is one of my stand out products of 2013, it removes my eye makeup without needing to rub back and forth and so it is very gentle. It is alcohol free and doesn’t sting at all. I have heard lots of positive things about the rest of this Camomlile range & will be buying a few more things to try.

Grid of Skincare

The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II is my slice of luxury, I love applying this at night when I need to wake up looking 100% and glowing. It’s my skin saviour. I never want this bottle to end and enjoy every single drop I use.

You know I love the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm* & recommend it to almost everyone I meet. If you want to know more I have a full review of it here.

Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitiser in Pink Peony – I wish they’d open a shop in the UK so I could buy every single variety of these. I always have one in my handbag. they smell delicious and are small and so handy to have. Love them.

Grid of Makeup

No7 BB Lip – this is in a soft pink shade, it looks pretty and fresh on my lips. They don’t give much colour but are perfect for those day’s where you don’t want to apply much makeup but want to still look put together.

Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter – this is just utterly gorgeous. It is a pretty deep red / berry colour and the pigmentation is really good. It gives your lips colour & hydration. The perfect combination. I adore this colour.

Miss Sporty Cat Eyes Palette – I’m so pleased with this and have worn it so often over the past month. The colours are rich and apply evenly and pigmented. For the price this is well worth buying. I took this with me for a week in Scotland and used it everyday. This is my makeup find of 2014.

Products that are marked with an * have either been sent to me for my consideration or I’ve received at events. I’m under no obligation to review them on my blog. However if I do, the reviews are 100% my own.

I’ve been back from Scotland for 2 weeks now and it’s easier to settle in knowing my dad is in his new flat and safer, I am a little calmer about the whole thing. I have had a busy 2 weeks catching up with work and we’re on a major mission to downsize. We have realised we own too much and don’t want to be weighed down by all this stuff. My husband is blogging about it all – if you want to know more.

We are currently looking for a 1 bed flat in Manchester and currently live in a 3 story 4 bed 4 bath townhouse so you can imagine we have alot to get rid of. We are still moving to Amsterdam but we want to sell the car & furniture before we go so thought moving to the city would be best in the mean time, so we are able to walk to our amenities and get a nice furnished place.

We also found a lovely farm shop with a coffee barn near to where we live and have popped out these a few times for a coffee and a read of the papers. It is relaxing and in a beautiful countryside setting. I have a feeling we will become regulars there.

My husband also has the new Grand Theft Auto game for the XBOX so I have been a gaming widow these past few days and I have caught up reading all my favourite blogs and even managed to schedule a few posts, which for me is unheard of. Now that its become a little colder I have been enjoying my favourite Autumn drink – Apple and Cinnamon Tea, I can’t get enough.

My niece who is 5 started school last month, she lives in Scotland and that’s 300 miles from me and I don’t see her as often as I’d like and so I thought it would be fun to write to each other, so we are now pen friends. I have sent her some cute stationery and stickers and I have bought some too (who am I kidding I had loads in the cupboard). I love writing snail mail and I am excited to receive my first letter from her – she is the cutest little girl.

Update

August has been a stressful month for me. I’m a natural worrier and when it comes to my dad I am 100x worse. I’ve been in Scotland for the past 2 weeks (I live just outside Manchester usually) helping my dad move in to his sheltered accommodation. I know most of you know about my dad, he had a very bad Stroke 18 months ago which left him extremely physically disabled and also has memory and cognitive problems. My dad is only 55 and lives alone so he was quite young to have suffered such a debilitating Stroke.

Before his Stroke he was very active and worked as a Plastic Surgeon, he will never work again and it has been so hard to see him so changed and struggle to learn to eat and do things with only the use of his right side. I’m glad the council found him somewhere safe to live but it has taken so long and it seems like you have to fight & chase so many people to get the smallest of tasks done. It is so exhausting.

As of yesterday he is all moved in and my husband was an absolute trooper, moving his furniture and setting it all up & organising all his phone, community alarm and bits that I forgot about. My dad gets very disoriented and stressed so I tried to get everything to go as smooth as possible. I tell you I’m ready for a holiday. I want to take a moment to Thank everyone on Twitter that has sent me a message of encouragement and just said reassuring things to me, it means alot x.

My dad used to be the man who would organise everything for other people and be the one to drive the van & make the phone calls but now that job is mine and it makes me sad. He’s better than this time last year and as my husband tells me almost everyday, you just never know what advancements medicine may have and my dad might recover some of the pathways in his brain. I’m holding out hope, that’s for sure. If you don’t know how to recognise the signs of a Stroke or how to help someone who is having one then please click this link.

This month has passed by so fast, I’ve not been up to much but here are a few photos from August. I am looking forward to a calmer September.
