Three Pamper Products

January Pamper Products

January Pamper Session Products

I’m trying to ignore the fact the weather is awful, the nights are dark and January is historically a month I eat my weight in chocolate & I have been forcing myself to be more positive, active and have regular pamper sessions. I always neglect my body in the winter months and this year I didn’t want it to be that way so these three products have been regular features of my Sunday night pamper sessions for the past 6 weeks and I love them so much!

MONU Warming Ginger Body Oil

This is a gorgeously indulgent product and its all about creating that Spa experience at home. This Oil can be used in three ways, as a body oil, in shower oil or put a few drops in your warm bath. It smells incredible, leaves your skin so soft and nourished and is a lovely indulgent treat. I like that it’s not at all greasy and is the perfect pampering treat for your body. It includes,

  • An uplifting mixture of aromatic Ginger, Lemongrass and Orange essential oils is sure to awaken the senses and provide an energising kick to tired muscles.
  • Added active ingredients such as Calendula, Jojoba Seed Oil and Vitamins A and E deliver all you need to gently restore natural softness to the skin.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Taking the day off is what I like to do every evening, cleanse off all the dirt and makeup at the end of a busy day. I don’t just save this for the weekend but it still feels like a treat because it’s so gentle on my skin and it really does take off every stitch of makeup. I scoop a little product out and massage it into my skin for a good few minutes (the balm turns into an oil), taking the time to work the product in and help it dissolve my makeup. Then with a damp face cloth I wipe it all off – my makeup comes off very easily no vigorous rubbing needed, it even removes my mascara.

ESPA Pink Hair and Scalp Mud Mask*

My hair has looked and felt so dry and frizzy these past few weeks & this mask has really helped to bring some shine back and also smooth the frizz. This mask is pink and it smells so rich and luxurious. You massage a generous amount into your scalp and through damp hair, sit back and relax for 20 minutes then rinse thoroughly. I thought because this is a mud mask it would be a little tricky to rinse out but it wasn’t difficult at all. ESPA also recommend you use this overnight for more of an intense treatment, I haven’t tried that yet but I will soon. The mask contains,

  • Red Clay stimulates circulation to the scalp improving hair growth
  • Apricot, Bergamot and Orange Oils nourish and aid manageability and gloss
  • Vitamin C rich Watercress helps to soothe your scalp

I like that its designed to be nourishing and beneficial for not only your hair but also your scalp too, it leaves my hair smelling lovely whilst feeling so soft and glossy. Its a treat for sure and I love using it when I am having a pamper evening. All ESPA products come beautifully packaged, they make the whole experience luxurious from the scent of the product to the luxurious packaging. You really feel like you’re having an at home Spa experience.

ESPA Summer Beauty

The Book of Summer Beauty is a limited edition Summer Collection and includes three award winning products to help you look and feel your best al Summer long. I have tried quite a few ESPA products over the years and I adore their Optimal Skin Pro Serum so I’m excited to see that included in this collection. You get a deluxe sample size 10ml so I’m going to take it away with me on my mini break to Scotland. I like to use it as part of my evening skincare routine, it leaves my skin looking radiant and helps reduce redness and the signs of fatigue. Some of the skin transforming ingredients and benefits are,

Omega 3,6 and 9 Rosehip and Echium Oils nourish your skin

Turmeric Root Extract increases luminosity and evens skin tone

White Lupin Extract helps prevent the signs of ageing

Balloon Plant Extract calms and soothes

This ESPA product has to be my number one must have – its not targeted at a specific age or skin type which I like, its ideal for anyone that wants their skin to look glowing and feel nourished. I can’t recommend it enough.

ESPA #SummerBeauty

ESPA Summer Beauty Skincare Trio

The trio also includes their 24 Hour Replenishing Moisturiser 15ml which I have yet to try – they say it is ‘Radiant youthful skin in a jar‘ sounds ideal. ESPA say your moisturiser is at the heart of every beauty routine and I agree with that. Get your moisturiser wrong and your skin can look dull, dehydrated and just not its best. This moisturiser is packed full of treats for your skin –

Jojoba and Evening Primrose deeply hydrate

Myrth Frankincense and Neroli help stimulate cell renewal

Antioxidents help prevent early signs of ageing

Vitamin E rich Peach Kernel Oil help protect against environmental aggressors

So this cream is going to nourish and protect your skin, I can’t wait to use it as part of my morning skincare routine and it is coming with me to Scotland too as I will be by the coast and often the sea air dries my skin out.ESPA Skincare Trio 2015

The Pink Hair and Scalp Mud 55ml has me very excited. If I’m honest my hair seems to get neglected I pamper my skin but never really take time to do hair masks or treatments so this is going to be a nice treat for my hair & scalp. The Summer is when my hair can get very dry & I tend to only wash my hair twice a week so I think my scalp is in much need of some TLC.

As you would expect from ESPA it has lots of beneficial ingredients to protect your locks from the effects of Chlorine, pollution, sea and sun all things that stress not only our skin but also our hair.

Red Clay stimulates circulation to the scalp improving hair growth

Apricot, Bergamot and Orange Oils nourish and aid manageability and gloss

Vitamin C rich Watercress helps to soothe your scalp.

The Little Book Of Summer Beauty recommends using this mask on your skin to ward off stretch marks & nourish and soothe very dry skin so its a multi tasking marvel! Love products that you can use in more than one way they’re great to take away with you. Oh & its pink – how cute is that!

ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser

ESPA Radiant tinted moisturiser

ESPA Tinted Moisturiser

ESPA recently released their Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser & I knew it would be right up my street. Incase you don’t know, ESPA have over 450 spas in 50 countries and have developed a range of spa quality products, which they use in all their spas. Their products are also available online and in high street stores like Harvey Nichols and John Lewis. So you can use their spa quality products at home.

This new Tinted Moisturiser is available in four shades and has SPF15.

I’ve been trying out the two lightest shades and I can get away with both of them but at the moment I prefer the lightest shade which is 01 Nude*. It has cool undertones and is quite a fair colour, I think it is the perfect match for me. The shade 02 Blush* has peachy pink undertones is slightly too dark for me right now but come July this will be a really good match.

ESPA Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser

For my everyday makeup I like to keep it simple and for want of a better expression go for the ‘no makeup makeup look’. I like my skin to look as natural as possible and find that tinted moisturisers & BB creams are my go to base. They’re a nice alternative to foundation and this new release from ESPA is just perfect. Not only does it provide sheer coverage but it also includes these skin benefits too,

  • Sunflower Seed Concentrate to hydrate and strengthen the skin
  • White Lupin to powerfully increase elasticity and skin firmness
  • Spruce Knot Extract helps to prevent the skin from free radical damage
  • Shea Butter and Hyaluronic acid helps to lock in moisture for all day hydration
  • UVA and UVB sun filters are enhanced with Argan, Vitamin E and Chamomile Extract to provide SPF 15 protection

ESPA Makeup

The product feels lightweight, moisturising, silky and easy to blend into the skin, I used a pea sized amount for my whole face & that was enough product. It give my skin a lovely fresh natural glow, it has a radiant dewy finish and would be gorgeous for the warmer months. I found I needed to use a concealer around my nose and on a few stubborn blemishes just for a little extra coverage. I do like how the tinted moisturiser let my freckles show through and just gave me that added glow and warmed up my complexion. I didn’t have to powder but I think as the weather gets a little warmer I would have to add that step just to stop my forehead & chin area getting shiny (as I would with any base product).

If you’re looking for a tinted moisturiser which will give you a natural, radiant glow to the skin then this is for you. It wears well and doesn’t oxidise throughout the day and is also fragrance free and like I said has SPF15.

Delving In To My Sample Stash #3

Makeup Samples

ESPA ProSerum – I have been spending quite a few weeks in Scotland since Summer & I always like to have my favourite serum with me, this ESPA one ticks all the boxes. Its hydrating, calming and helps even skin tone. I love the scent too, it smells like a high end spa. This is ideal for this time of year when my skin gets dry & looks a little dull. Its a staple in my travel makeup bag.

Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream* This is a popular Asian skincare brand & I’ve read so many great reviews of this BB Cream. I’ve always wanted to try it. I’ve been using this over the past couple of weeks & really like it. I like my base to give a light coverage and provide a touch of colour so my complexion looks bright & even. This BB Cream gives me exactly that, its a lovely creamy consistency which I found very easy to blend, I did lightly powder it but I don’t think thats 100% necessary. This BB Cream covers all bases it provides a SPF30, protects against free radicals, conceals imperfections & contains hyluronic acid for all day hydration. So you’re getting a lovely BB Cream with the added skincare benefits which Asian brands are renowned for.

Benefit Stay Don’t Stray – This is a dual action eye primer so not only will it keep your eyeshadow in place but you can use it under the eye to keep your concealer put all day long and it works a treat! I love it that much I will be purchasing the full size & can’t believe I have never heard of this until now. It gives my eyelids an even colour & is the perfect base on which to apply eyeshadow. Its love.

Burt’s Bees Hand Salve – Not a massive fan of this I have to say, I did initially like it but the more I use it the less I like it & that pains me to write because Burt’s Bees is normally very reliable. I much prefer a hand cream & find the easier to use when I’m on the go. I will use it up & have been using it on my cuticles at night to stop them drying out in the cold weather. Let me know if you like this hand salve & how you make it work for you.

Makeup & Skincare Samples

Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer – I’ve not used this an awful lot & struggle to find a primer which doesn’t make my skin greasy after a couple hours of use. I like the cute spotty packaging, I will use this a few more times & then let you know if it worked well for me. 15 hours is a bold claim & I doubt very much that my makeup would stay looking flawless for 15 hours. Have you tried this? let me know if your makeup looked fresh & flawless for 15 hours.

REN BB Cream – This featured in my last Sample Stash post, I’m still using it & loving it. It gives me a healthy dewy finish and it wears well without oxidising. Its not my favourite BB Cream but I do like the finish and although I wouldn’t purchase the full size I have enjoyed trying it out.

Origins Super Spot Remover – This isn’t a sample size but it fits so well on my dish & its so dinky. I really rate this as a spot treatment, it starts working right away. Its so quick and easy to apply to your blemishes. It’s instantly cooling, and can sting a little but that only lasts a few seconds, this is a targeted treatment so you only need to put it on the area where you feel a blemish coming or if you have a blemish thats already erupted. It stops blemishes from becoming too sore & angry and helps them clear up much faster too. Its a wonder gel in a tiny bottle. If you haven’t already you need to add this to your skincare arsenal.

Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream – OMG this is the BB Cream of my dreams, It gives my skin an even coverage and It gives you Broad Spectrum SPF50 protection which makes me very happy. If you like a light to medium coverage that looks natural and radiant with excellent sun protection then you will love this BB Cream. Its simple but its all I need in a base and I am a massive fan.

Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick – This is a gorgeous mini lipstick, I haven’t tried many Lancome products but this lipstick feels comfortable and hydrating on the lips & its the softest peachy pink. Not the most Autumnal colour but I have been enjoying wearing it.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser – This is another product that was in a previous Sample Stash post, I’ve used it a couple of times & I’m not 100% in love, I’m not exactly sure what I don’t like about it. It might be that its quite thick compared to other tinted moisturisers & BB Creams. It looks really nice just after I apply it but I don’t think it wears well on my oily skin. I much prefer the Ginvera & the Kiehl’s BB Creams.
