YOU BEAUTY DISCOVERY ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 11, 12 & 13

See what was behind doors 11, 12 & 13 in my You Beauty Discovery Advent Calendar*

Steamcream

Behind door 11 was this gorgeous tin of Steamcream, I have never tried this moisturiser before but I know lots of people like it & their tins are limited edition and very collectable. How sweet. This moisturiser is handmade using natural ingredients fused together by a shot of steam. Very hi-tech. This tin is full size £12.95

Stila Lip Glaze

Behind door 12 was this pretty Stila Lip Glaze. I have had a couple if these over the years & really like them. They’re not hugely pigmented but give a nice gloss of colour and look cute on! I like the brush applicator on these, very easy to apply when you’re out & about. This will get alot of love from me over Xmas. Pucker Up! This is also full size 2.4ml for £15.00

Dermalogica Set

Behind door 13 was the Dermalogica Ultra Calming Set – you get to try 4 products from their Ultra Calming Range. In this set there is a Cleanser, Masque, Face Mist and a Serum. Again this is a brand I have never tried but I’m excited to use this set.

This Advent Calendar has been so good at introducing me to some new brands & products, its been wonderful & I still have 11 doors left to open.

Products that are marked with an * have either been sent to me for my consideration or I’ve received at events. I’m under no obligation to review them on my blog. However if I do, the reviews are 100% my own.

These are a few of my favourite things

Bronzer

Favourite Things

Avon Plump Pout in the shade Nude Pout – This is a lovely nude gloss, with a hint of pink. Not too sticky. I’m not normally a gloss wearer, but I have been enjoying this. It’s an easy colour to wear and handy to have in my bag. I’m going to try a few more of these glosses from Avon.

Estee Lauder ANR II  £65 – I only have love for this & use is most nights. This is aimed at repairing the damage done during the day by environmental aggressors and keeps your skin hydrated and looking fresh and smooth. I have noticed a big difference in my skin, it isn’t so red, and my breakouts don’t leave such visible dark spots. A little goes a long way with this serum, and it is lasting me a very long time.

L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte – This is a very pretty finely milled loose shadow. The colour is so pretty, it’s a champagne with a metallic finish and is very pigmented. Makes the perfect inner corner highlight, it brightens up my eyes. I reach for is almost daily.

Burt’s Bees Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Cream  £9.99 – A non-greasy hydrating hand cream. It smells a little odd, but it’s so nourishing and keeps my hands smooth that I can get past the smell.

Favourites Favourites

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Lioness  £14 – If you want a liner that lasts all day then this is for you. You can smudge it out when you first apply it, but then it doesn’t budge. It’s a twist up so you don’t need to sharpen it which is very handy.

Moroccan Oil* £13.45  – Hello miracle worker – this tames my unruly hair and makes it look sleek and glossy. Don’t worry about this making your hair greasy or weighing it down as it is lightweight (as long as you don’t use too much product) – I find two drops / pumps is enough.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm*  £17 – This is a lovely lip treatment for the winter. It’s very thick and hydrating. I use it at night before bed and wake up with smooth soft lips.

Me Me Me Bronzer

Me Me Me Shimmer Stack in Bronze £9.99 – I love this, it is pretty and can be used as eyeshadows or as a shimmer highlight. It works great as both. I have used this since I bought it last year, but its perfect for a nighttime look as it does have quite a metallic finish.

YOU BEAUTY DISCOVERY ADVENT CALENDAR DAY 8, 9 & 10

I have been thrilled with the products I have had so far in my You Beauty Discovery Advent Calendar and if you’d like to see those posts click herehere and here. I have been playing catch up over the past few days but here is what was behind doors 8, 9 & 10.

You Beauty Advent Calendar Aromatheray Associates Inner Strength Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil

I was so excited to find this behind door 8, I’ve never tried anything from Aromatherapy Associates. The packaging is pretty & pink (very cute). I have the Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil. It smells so luxurious, it has a blend of Clary Sage, Frankincense and Cardamom. I think it smells a little festive. I have been told by a few people that a little goes a long way, one or two drops in the bath is enough to give you a relaxing fragrant bath. I am very excited to have a relaxing bath with a face mask and a glass of wine. This bottle is 7.5ml – full size is 55ml and costs £39.00

Trilogy Rosapene Nighht Cream,

Behind door 9 was this Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream, I have used their rosehip oil and liked how hydrating that was so I’m looking forward to trying this night cream. Its a great size sample 25ml in a lovely glass jar. It is meant to give the skin intensive nourishment, leaving skin radiant, smooth and restored. Full size is 60ml for £28.50

Inka Mineral Eye Shadow

Door number 10 revealed some makeup, this gorgeous Inika Mineral Eyeshadow. I have a lovely purple eyeliner from Inika that is so creamy and pigmented. This shadow is in the shade Gunmetal and is a gorgeous Molten Silver, perfect for Xmas. 1.2g £14.50 – this is full size.

I am so excited about the Aromatherapy Associates Oil and the Trilogy Night Cream! What treats x

YOU Beauty Discovery Advent Calendar Day 5, 6 & 7

Playing catch up, this is what was behind doors 5, 6 & 7 of my lovely YOU Beauty Discovery Advent Calendar Day

AdventDay 5

balance Me body wash

Behind door 5 was this balance Me Super Toning Body Wash, I have used this before a few months ago when Glamour Magazine had them as freebies. I liked it. This is a very good size sample & 100ml costs £9. I will enjoy using this.

Advent Door 6Door 6

Behind door 6 is this Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation, this is a brand I have never tried. This foundation is meant to keep skin looking dewy and flawless. It gives you just a hint of coverage whilst correcting your skins undertones. It smooths fine lines and gives your skin a boost of moisture. It also has Broad Spectrum SPF30 protection. This has big claims, will be putting this to the test. This sample is 7.5ml. The full size is £47.00 for 30ml.

Advent Day 7 Day 7

Behind door 7 were these lovely limited edition blue Christmas Tweezers from The Vintage Cosmetic Company. These look super festive and a girl can never own too many tweezers, right! I’m always losing mine and need backups. Not very glamorous but an extremely necessary part of everyones makeup kit. These will be well used. These are limited edition and cost £8.

I am so pleased with the products that I have had in first week. If you want to see what was behind the previous doors then click here & here.
