I own quite a few L’Oreal products so it was hard to narrow it down to just five but after much deliberation I have decided these are my current 5 favourites. Let me know in the comments what your favourite / most used products from L’Oreal are.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation in the shade Vanilla £9.99

This is the first ever L’Oreal Foundation I’ve tried and I have been so impressed with it. I would say it gives a medium coverage, you can still see all my (hundreds) of freckles which I like so it looks natural and wears really well. It doesn’t oxidise on me and my oily skin seems to only start looking shiny after about 6 hours wear & then I lightly dust some powder on and its good for a few more hours. I think it looks really good on & it feels lightweight on my skin and doesn’t break me out. Its one of my most used foundations & I have quite a few.

L’Oreal Glam Bronzer £10.30

This is a two toned bronzer, you get a lighter highlighter shade & a deeper brown shade. Its the same concept as my much loved Solar Powder but the brown / bronze shade in this duo is a little darker which is perfect for Summer. This duo gives the skin an illuminating glow – I wouldn’t use this to contour as it does have a pearlescent sheen, I think its used best as a bronzing highlighter. It gives the skin a little warmth and a subtle glow. The packaging is great too, very travel friendly & it has a mirror too.

L’Oreal Color Riche Smoky Quad in Rose Memories £7.99

Hello my perfect shades, these are so pretty and very me. I have been trying to shop my stash every week & I forgot I had this quad, I bought it last year & used it all the time then like most makeup items it was forgotten about. I am so glad I’ve rediscovered it because it is gorgeous. This quad isn’t for matte eyeshadow fans because all four colours have shimmer in them, its not disco ball glitter but they have a hint of shimmer / frost finish .I love the darkest plum colour & think it looks so pretty worn alone all over the lid. The packaging of this is slim and compact it looks and feels quite luxurious.

L’Oreal Superliner Black Lacquer £5.50

When I wear eyeliner 99% of the time it is black liquid eyeliner & I have tried a few amazing ones & even more terrible ones. I have to say that as a rule of thumb the L’Oreal liquid liners are some of the best I have used. Their pigmentation is so good – jet black, they wear all day without wearing off unevenly and they never transfer on to the upper part of my eye (I hate it when eyeliner does that). I also find L’Oreal liners last months without drying out. I’m currently using the Superliner one and love how flexible the nib is & how precise you can make your winged liner look!

L’Oreal La Palette Nude in Beige £14.99

I have the original Rose palette too but I was so happy when L’Oreal released this one, I had to have it. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you will know that I love a neutral palette & this one is sleek & has a great sized mirror too. You get 10 neutral eyeshadows, 6 mattes and 4 shimmers so a good mix. 9 of the shadows have really great pigmentation the first lightest shade is the only one that is a little chalky but the other 9 shades are beautiful. You get a pretty selection of wearable colours, ranging from champagnes, bronzy browns, golden browns to some beautiful darker browns & a blue / grey shade to finish off the palette.

I love the shade range in this palette & think this is a very handy palette to travel with. I never deviate from a neutral eye so I know this has every shade I would need. The shadows are easy to work with and there is very little fall out. So this gets two thumbs up from me & I am so happy I managed to track one down.

Oculus* is the latest addition to the range & I have been testing it out. This is an oil based treatment which helps protect and regenerate the delicate skin around the eye. This comes in a sleek glass bottle with a handy metal roller ball which makes applying it to the eye area really easy, I roll it around my orbital bone and then I pat it in. It leaves the area feeling soft and hydrated. The oil doesn’t sit on top of the skin but instead after a couple of minutes its absorbed leaving your skin silky smooth and gives and keeps the area hydrated all day, I found my concealer sat really well on top of this treatment oil and didn’t sink into my fine lines throughout the day.

This Oculus Treatment Oil has a very calming subtle botanical scent, and since I started using it its one of the skincare steps I really look forward to. I love using oils, not only on my face but on my body too but this Josh Rosebrook one has to be the most natural and effective oils I have ever used. After 3 weeks of using it twice a day I’ve started to see subtle changes, my eye area looks brighter & less puffy whilst my fine lines haven’t completely disappeared but they certainly looking less prominent. So I’m very happy & I’m looking forward to seeing the results after 3 months of using this twice a day.

Ted Baker always have such lovely gift sets & I have been trying out the new W Gift Set which features Ted’s S/S15 Distinguishing Rose packaging. The floral design is so detailed and makes this gift set look extra special and feel feminine & luxurious.

This Ted Baker W Gift Set* contains a 30ml W Eau de Toilette, a 100ml Body Wash and Body Lotion, so three great products. I think this set is ideal for any friend or family member, and would suit most ages too.

The W Body Lotion* & Body Wash* are products that always get used and for me, I can never have enough of either. These both have the same beautiful floral designs as the gift box & the same scent as the perfume, which smells Summery and girly. The body lotion is hydrating and absorbs quickly into the skin and the body wash is a lovely way to start the day, it smells fresh and Summery. So they make a great morning combination.

For me the W Eau de Toilette* is the stand-out product in this set, it’s presented in a really pretty triangular shaped glass bottle which feels heavy and luxurious. It’s such an unusual and pretty shape, I love it. The scent has,

It has quite floral scent with a hint of sweetness to it. It’s a lovely Summery scent that would be really nice during the warmer months because it’s not a heavy or heady scent but instead smells fresh and lightweight, the perfect daytime perfume. This lasted all day on me. I sprayed some on my scarf a week ago & I can still smell it on there, so it is quite long-lasting. I love that the product is pink and looks really feminine, and this gift set is so inexpensive, at £14.99 you get three good-sized products and it’s beautifully packaged.

I’ve been trying a couple of products from INIKA this past month and wanted to let you know how I’m getting on.

INIKA have a selection of Vegan Mineral Eyeshadows £14.50 & you can pick from 22 shades. I have two more neutral colours, the first is Honeycomb* which is a soft matte nude cream shade & is the ideal colour to wear all over the lid to give you an even light base colour. Or if you wanted that no makeup, makeup look it would be a great subtle nude colour that gives your eyes that bright fresh look. You can’t really see it in the swatch below because it is quite a light colour but I think its one of those colours that isn’t a WOW shade but is great to have in your collection and you will get a lot of use from it.

The other colour I have is Coco Motion* with is a very deep matte brown, its gorgeous through the crease & helps create a gorgeous neutral smokey eye. It’s so richly pigmented, I also found it easy to blend and the colour stayed vibrant on my lids all day without creasing.

These Mineral Eyeshadows are loose powder shadows (which can often be a pain) but packaged really well, the holes in the top where the powder comes out are quite small so you don’t end up with a mess when you unscrew the lid. Hardly any powder comes out unless you really tap it, so you’re not wasting product either.

I have also been using their Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation* £29.50 this is available in 4 shades & I have the lightest shade which is Cream & its a good match for me. The formula of this foundation is quite thick and creamy so you will need to take time to blend this into your skin and I found that it evened out my complexion and gave me a light to medium coverage with a dewy finish.

My skin looked healthy and fresh with a good amount of coverage (if you’re looking for a full coverage foundation this isn’t for you). I think this is a good base for the warmer months because even though the product felt quite thick it feels lightweight on the skin and still looks natural. Its certified organic and packed full of organic antioxidants, vitamins and minerals such as Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Rosehip. So it is nourishing, soothing and hydrating. It’s a foundation that keeps your skin looking flawless and also keeps it healthy too. So if you’re looking for a Foundation that is Organic, Vegan & will give you a healthy natural finish then this is one you should check out.

The packaging for the Liquid Foundation is really nice, it comes in a sleek plastic black and gold tube and it has a handy pump, which is so easy to use and travel with. I think it looks really nice.
