Origins KissZing Lip Crayons

Origins KissZing Lip Shdes

Origins KissZing

These KissZing Lip Crayons from Origins are a relatively new release & only hit counters in mid-February. So just in time for Spring. They come in 6 wearable colours.

Origins KissZing Selection

I have been using the shade Rosemance which is a soft nude rose shade. It gives your lips a pinch of colour & looks natural and pretty. The formula is quite creamy and glides on effortlessly, feels hydrating on the lips but not greasy at all. There is a glossy finish to this lip crayon and I think these make the perfect everyday lip product. They give your lips a pretty wash of colour, have a nice glossy finish & have lots of skincare benefits too – so they look after your lips as well as making them look pretty. That’s a win-win situation.

Origins KissZing Rosemance

All the Origins KissZing Lip Crayons have these lovely ingredients to help keep your lips smooth, hydrated & looking their best.

Meadowfoam Seed – Which has anti-oxidant properties & helps keep skin soft and nourished.

Jojoba Oils – Which helps soothe dry irritated skin and is very gentle.

Mango Seed Butter Which is rich in antioxidants, vitamin A and E.

Shea Butter – Which is very popular in skincare as it is a very effective moisturiser. So it prevents moisture loss and leaves skin soft.

Origins say these crayons have a scent of mint & vanilla, I do smell a hint of mint but it is so subtle.

I really like the shade I have & think Rosemance is not only a lovely name but a really pretty shade too. It’s subtle & the kind of colour you could wear anywhere & anytime. I think these KissZing Lip Crayons will be perfect for Spring because they’re hydrating and give your lips a gorgeous effortless wash of colour.

Let me know which of the six shades you think would suit you best. I have my eye on Peach Peck.

I did include Rosemance in my Lip Crayon Collection post last month if you’d like to take a look.

Products To Get That Spring Glow

Favourite Brightening Products

I wish I had naturally radiant skin – I am working hard to eat more fruit & veg oh and drink more water but I do have naturally dull sallow skin so I take all the help I can get. In this post I am sharing with you a few of my favourite products for achieving more radiant glowing skin.

Balance Me Radiance Mask* Oh my, this is a wonderful mask. It is a thick creamy consistency with fine exfoliating walnut shells. You smooth a layer over the skin & leave it whist you relax & let it work its magic. You then massage it off lightly letting the fine walnut shells exfoliate your skin. To reveal smooth, hydrated & radiant skin. I promise your skin will feel so smooth after using this. Balance Me say you can use this product in two ways – if you’re in a rush then you can use it as a face wash or if you have time on your side you sit back, relax and use it as a treatment mask. I do like a multi purpose product. This product removes dead skin, replenishes lost moisture and soothes & smooths your skin. I love it!

Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser – This is a foaming cleanser & I find it gentle and soothing on my skin. You can use this to remove your makeup but I like to use it as a second cleanser only because it stings my eyes a little. This cleanser is enriched with lots of lovely ingredients such as African red tea which calms and soothes the skin, vitamin C  which Stimulates collagen synthesis and fights environmental damage and Grapefruit, orange and tangerine extracts which purify and brighten with astringent, antiseptic and aromatic qualities. So it is jam packed full of radiance boosting ingredients.

L’Oreal Lumi Magique Touch of Light Highlighter 01 – I like to use this to brighten my under eye area & also sweep a little down my nose too. It is a peachy salmon pink shade & the formula is creamy and easy to blend. I think these kind of pen highlighters are so easy to use & carry in your makeup up bag. This won’t cover dark circles or blemishes but its perfect at reflecting light & giving your skin a gorgeous boost of radiance.

Revlon Photoready Skinlights Primer – This primer is great at giving the skin a subtle brightness, not shimmery but a peachy pink glow & I have worn this as a primer under my foundation or if I’m going for more of a dewy look I mix a little with my foundation. This bottle is going to last me a long time as you need very little product. It is a great addition to my makeup routine & amazing at keeping my skin looking bright & healthy.

Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel – I have been using this on those mornings when I haven’t had enough sleep & my skin needs some extra TLC. I smooth a generous amount on to my skin & leave it for 10 – 25 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. My skin is left feeling smooth and looking radiant. It contains Glycolic Acid integrated with Pomegranate Enzymes which exfoliates the skin without being abrasive. It also contains Aloe Vera and humectants which help maintain the right moisture balance. I have a few of these sample sized tubes & I love to take them with me when I travel, just to keep my complexion looking its best.

Avon Magix Eye Radiance Wand – This is a great products for brightening your under eye. It is nice and creamy and I like to use my finger to pat it in. I also think it makes a great primer for my concealer as it smooths out my fine lines & leaves the area smooth. My concealer sits well on top of it & lasts all day.

Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Starlet Mosaic – This is the most gorgeous baked highlighter if you swirl your brush through all the colours it gives you a pretty peachy glow. I’ve even used it a couple of times as eyeshadow and the colours are pigmented and really help brighten the eyes. All 4 shades are really pretty & have a frosted finish. Its great for giving your look an extra radiance boost!

MUA Spring Collection 2015

Favourite MUA Products

I have quite a few MUA products in my collection & I find that on a whole their products are very good value for money. They have a really good selection of makeup, brushes & eyelashes. I have rounded up my favourite products from them & thought I would share them with you. I’d love to know what products you would recommend from MUA.

Undress Me Too Palette £4

I have a few of the MUA 12 pan eyeshadow palettes but this is my most used & loved. It has 12 neutral shades in and has been compared to the Naked 2 Palette, I don’t own that palette so can’t say if it holds up as a dupe but I love this palette. The packaging might feel a little cheap and plastic but it is thin and easy to travel with. You get some good mattes and a mix of metallic finishes and shimmers. I have never used the black shade but it is SO pigmented (it scares me). Every time I use this palette I can’t believe how little it cost. For £4 everyone should own this palette.

Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder £3

This reminds me so much of the Mac In Extra Dimensions Collection. I bought this powder not expecting much and it turned out to be a really pretty light pink highlighter. A little goes a long way so don’t use too much of a heavy hand. I put a little on the tops of my cheeks. It really is very pretty and for £3 everyone should have it in their collection.

Bronze Shimmer Kisses £3

This reminds me of the Soap & Glory Solar Powder (which I LOVE). It has 4 colours to swirl your brush in for that perfect bronze glow. I have even been using the lightest colour for a brow and inner eye highlighter too & the colours also work well as eyeshadows. It is a multi-use product in my opinion. Which makes them even better value for money.

MUA Powder Blushers

There are six of these to pick from & at £1 each they’re a bargain. I have four out of the six and I use them all the time. They are all pigmented, blend-able and really good quality. The packaging of these isn’t wonderful, don’t travel with them otherwise, you will end up with more product in your makeup bag than in the pan! I have seen that MUA has released Whipped Cream Blushers & they look gorgeous too!

MUA Baked Trio Eyeshadow in Chocolate Box £2.50

These are really pretty metallic shadows that can be used wet or dry. They are pigmented and easy to blend. You get a bronze shade, purple toned taupe and a burnt orange. I like all three colours and even after having this in my collection and using it a fair amount I still haven’t made a dent in any other the shades, they’re going to last me a very long time. The packaging is a little bulky & cheap but I think they have repackaged it to be more compact.

MUA Sweet Sheen Collection

MUA Sweet Sheen Lip Balms* £2

These have been the newest addition to my MUA stash & I LOVE them. I have done a full review of them here. In a nutshell, they’re hydrating, glossy & give your lips a pretty wash of colour ideal for the warmer months. These are part of MUA’s new Spring collection.

Let me know what your favourite MUA products are & if you’ve tried any of the ones I recommend.

Blogger Influenced Beauty Purchases

Blogger Influenced Purchases

I read so many blogs & I have purchased quite a few products over the past couple of years based on reviews and recommendations from some of my favourite bloggers. I thought I would share with you some of my favourite products that I discovered due to fellow bloggers.

Barbara Daily Longwear Cream Shadow Sticks

These are amazing and I discovered them thanks to Describe The Sky – I saw them on Vicki’s blog & rushed out that night to Tesco & bought 2 shades. I have done a full review of them here with swatches. These are better quality than my Bobbi Brown ones & that’s saying something. They are beautiful and wear a really long time, they’re effortless to apply & the packaging looks luxurious & pretty. If you like to wear cream shadows then you need to get your hands on these.

Olivine Love & Roses Beauty Mist

I really like face mists and always have one on my desk. I use them to keep my skin hydrated, to refresh my makeup and I think the scent of this one, in particular, is quite soothing. I saw it on Sandra’s blog – Beauty Balm earlier this month & knew from the packaging alone that I needed it. The packaging is very Pinterest worthy, it’s a glass bottle with a gorgeous font. It looks very pretty on my desk & I highly recommend trying it if you like to use a face mist.

Soap & Glory Love at First Blush

I spied this multicolour blush on Through Chelsea’s Eyes last year and thought it looked like a pretty Spring Blush & it so is. It offers great pigmentation as well as a pretty highlight. I like to swirl my brush and pick up a little of each colour & apply it lightly to my cheeks. They have updated the packaging since Chelsea bought her’s and it now comes in a much more durable plastic compact.

Bourjois Colorbrand Eye Crayon in Brun dadaiste

I have quite a collection of chubby crayons for eyes & when A Beauty Junkie in London blogged about these Bourjois ones being released I wanted them all (I still do) I limited myself to one just so I could see if they worked for me & they are really good. No creasing on my lids and the pigmentation is spot on. I will be heading back for more colours.

Pixi Lash Line Ink

Lilly Melrose always used to blog about this & I have been through quite a few of these over the past couple of years. IIt’sthe perfect liner for achieving that super precise cat eye flick with no fuss or mess. The nib is long & thin and goes into a really fine tip that is sturdy but still has flexibility. It doesn’t drag on your lid and the liner goes on evenly and very black. I will always repurchase this.

Soap & Glory Solar Powder

Vivianna Does Makeup sold this to me after I saw it on her video last year. I’m so glad I have this in my collection now because I use it daily, I can’t even remember what bronzer I used to use before this came along. It gives a natural glow & it never looks orange or muddy. I LOVE it, I have hit pan on it & the rubbish (cheap) cardboard packaging is almost ready to give up the ghost so I am in need of a new one. If you’re quite pale then this is the perfect bronzer for you.

Revlon Photoready Skinlights Primer

Kate from Ghostparties was my influence for purchasing this primer & Katie has the most gorgeous flawless skin so I just had to get it. This primer is great at giving the skin a subtle brightness, not shimmery but a peachy pink glow & I have worn this as a primer under my foundation or if I am going for more of a dewy look I mix a little with my foundation. This bottle is going to last me a long time as you need very little product. It is a great addition to my makeup routine & amazing at keeping my skin looking bright & healthy.

I’d love to know what products bloggers have inspired you to buy. I have quite a few more but I’m saving those for part 2.
