My Favourite Rose Products

Miller Harris Rose Silence Perfume

Favourite Rose Beauty Products

Miller Harris Rose Silence*

This is just the most romantic, luxurious fragrance. It’s a perfume that feels, smells and looks beautiful. It has Top notes: mandarin, blackcurrant – Heart notes: rose- Base notes: patchouli, cashmere musk. A real mix of fruity, floral and then the musk and patchouli add that sexy more sophisticated touch. This would make a thoughtful and special gift for anyone you love & it has become one of my favourite perfumes.

Jurlique Rose Body Oil

I am a big fan of body oils, I like to use them after I have had a bath to really nourish my skin. This Jurlique one is pampering and has lots of skincare benefits too including Rosemary that invigorates, restores and rebalances oiliness, Chamomile and Lavender to soothe and restore skin radiance, while Macadamia and Jojoba Oils soften skin it also contains Vitamin E which provides antioxidant protection. So your skin will look and feel silky smooth after using this. A little oil goes a long way so a bottle is going to last you months.

By Terry Baume de Rose

This is a mini pot of the cult beauty product –  By Terry Baume de Rose, it’s so cute and small. Its a nourishing and hydrating lip balm that feels comfortable and not at all sticky on my lips. It does keep my lips feeling soft and moisturised for hours and I like the subtle rose scent which I am able to smell for quite a while after applying it. Such a luxurious lip balm & one I do love to use.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist

This product is always to hand and right now its sat on my desk, I love spritzing this throughout the day. It’s refreshing and uplifting not to mention really hydrating for your skin. It’s a lovely product to use all year round. It contains Marshmallow and glycerin to help prevent moisture loss, intensely hydrate and soften skin. Rose and aloe vera to soften, sooth and calm the skin and Grapefruit seed which extract provides antioxidant protection. Its packed with so many great skincare benefits.

Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Handcream

This is a great rose scented hand cream which keeps my hands feeling soft, smooth and not at all greasy. It has a light fresh floral scent, not overpowering at all its just a lovely lightweight hand cream. I have a sample sized tube and has lasted me for a good few weeks

Rose Themed Beauty Products

Diptyque Roses Candle

I love this floral scented candle, it took me so long to actually light it and I could even smell the candle without it being lit. It gives off a good amount of scent and it is an authentic rose fragrance. Its a luxurious purchase but you only need to burn it for a few hours at a time & you will be able to smell the Rose scent long after it has been blown out. Yes, I have even kept the box, I just couldn’t part with it – it’s too pretty.

Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask

LOVE this mask. For two reasons (well there are more but 2 main reasons). It’s so quick, if you’re pushed for time you can apply it and after 10 minutes you’re good to go. Also after only 10 minutes, your skin feels unbelievably soft, radiant and hydrated. You can apply it & leave it on as long as you like but you can use it like an express mask & that’s how I like to use it, so before I go out on a night out I use it just before I do my makeup, that way my skin is looking its best and my foundation applies like a dream, looks smooth and doesn’t cling to any dry patches. Goodbye dull skin – hello fresh, radiant complexion! This is a pricey mask but its worth every single penny.

What is your favourite rose scented product, or are you not a fan of this floral scent?

Leafy & Lovely Valentine’s Gifts

Leafy Lovely Superdrug Brand

Leafy & Lovely Valentine Gift Ideas

Leafy & Lovely is a brand thats exclusive to Superdrug, they’re an affordable brand that do really pretty gifts. They have a small but sweet range available this Valentines Day, so if you’re still looking for a few gifts then you might want to head to your local Superdrug.

Floral Hand Lotion

Leafy & Lovely Floral Hand Lotion* £1.00

How beautiful is the packaging for this hand lotion! It looks a lot more luxurious than I would expect as it is only £1. The bright red detailing on the box looks so pretty and I like that its quite a simple but bold design. I am all about the packaging and this brand has ticked all the boxes. The hand lotion comes in a really sweet tube with a Valentines Design & its the perfect size for your handbag, its slim and the tube is durable and won’t get bashed or damaged in there. It does have a light floral scent but nothing too overpowering, you will need to give the lotion a minute or two to absorb into your hands but after it has they’re left feeling hydrated and smooth.

This is such a lovely hand lotion and I can’t get over how affordable it is. These would make thoughtful gifts for any lady in your life.

Leafy & Lovely Valentines Day Gifts

Leafy & Lovely Lip Tint Duo* £3.00

Again the packaging for these is just so sweet and pretty. I love the bold design and think the red & white work well together. The lip tints smell sweet & fruity, I like the scent. They come in pretty metal tins that are ideal for keeping in your car or on your desk. You get two lip tint shades Coral Pink and Sweet Berry and they do give your lips a touch of sheer colour. The pink shade gives a little more colour than the berry. They look glossy and pretty on the lips, although I wouldn’t say they are particularly hydrating. I think this duo would be a cute gift for a friend or girlfriend this Valentines Day.

Leafy & Lovely Superdrug Exclusive Brand

The Leafy & Lovely Valentine’s range at Superdrug also has a beautifully scented candle, bath fizzer, manicure & pedicure sets and a pretty cosmetics bag. Lots of cute gift ideas and they’re all £4 and under. Let me know if you treat yourself or receive any Leafy & Lovely treats this Sunday.

Aldi Lacura Argan Oil Beauty Range

Aldi Lacura Argan Oil Bodycare

Aldi Lacura Argan Oil Beauty Range

Aldi is quite well know for their affordable skincare so I was excited to try four products from their new Argan Oil Range which is released on February 21st. All the products in this line are under £5.

Lacura Argan Oil Nurturing Shower Gel*

This comes out a lovely rich golden colour, I like that its not a cream formula but very much like an oil. This is lovely to massage all over you skin and gently rinse off. You’re left with soft skin that feels nourished, the scent of this shower gel is really nice too, its quite warming, rich and relaxing. You get a really generous 300ml of product in a shower friendly squeeze style bottle.

Lacura Argan Oil Anti Ageing Body Lotion*

This body lotion is a lightweight cream and is 95% natural. It promises to help tighten skin, moisturise and protect from the first signs of ageing. Bold claims, from testing this over the past couple of weeks I would say that its hydrating and my skin feels smooth and nourished after applying this morning & night but as for anti ageing & skin tightening I’m not 100% sure (yet). I think applying moisturising lotion to your body is a great way to keep your skin looking healthy, radiant and stops it from drying out which in the long run helps to keep your skin looking its best. I will continue to use this lotion & let you know if I see any improvement in skin tightness.

Aldi Lacura Argan Oil Beauty Range

Carino Professional Oil Treatment*

This is an exciting product, its a hair oil that you can use as an Leave in Conditioner, Finishing Product or an Overnight Treatment. It comes packaged in a really sweet glass bottle so it feels luxurious. I have used this as a leave in conditioner and a finishing product and was very very impressed. This oil treatment is fantastic at helping eliminate frizz, adding shine and improving the condition of your hair. I have dark curly hair thats is prone to being dull & frizzing (i also use a lot of heat) so this bottle of oil has been a god send. I will be trying it as an overnight treatment this week & I’m excited for the results. The oil is lightweight & you need only a small amount, the scent is quite sweet and rich.

Affordable Beauty from Aldi

Lacura Argan Oil Anti Ageing Handcream*

I use hand cream so often throughout the day so its nice to have them strategically placed about my house, handbag and car so I never have dry hands. This Lacura one is quite a thick cream formula but it doesn’t stay greasy on your hands. So after applying it you’re ready to type, drive or just crack on with your day, no waiting for the product to sink in or feeling tacky on your skin. The scent isn’t as strong as the body lotion but it still smells nice. It contains no parabens, silicones, mineral oils or colourants and is 95% natural.

So all in all some great releases from Aldi coming your way on February 21st. If there was one product I’d say you had to try it would be the treatment oil, I think out of the four products its the one you see the best results from.

Lacura Argan Oil Range is available exclusively in Aldi from February 21st 2016

PUKKA Wild Apple & Cinnamon Tea

I really like Winter Teas & these PUKKA ones are nice and warming. They’re not too overpowering with cinnamon but have just enough flavour, I like to have a cup after a cold Winter walk. PUKKA teas are among my favourites and their selection is so big. If you have a favourite PUKKA tea let me know. £2.40 for 20 bags.

Essence Waterproof Gel Eyeliner

If you like to wear eyeliner but hate when it smudges then these utter bargains from Essence are all you need. They’re a waterproof gel liner, so easy to apply & smoke out then after a couple of minutes they dry down and stay in place all day long. At £2.30 everyone needs at least one colour in their makeup bag.

The Lady In The Van by Alan Bennett

This is a true story about a homeless lady called Mary Shepherd who ends up living in her old Bedford van on Alan Bennett’s driveway in London. She lives there for 15 years and the story is little snippets of their interactions over the years. Often funny but at times quite poignant, I read this book in a day. I just couldn’t put it down. Mary Shepherd is eccentric, fiercely private and quite alone in the world. Well worth a read. Kindle edition was £2.30

Co-Op Dark Chocolate Infused With Orange Oil

I have a square of this each night as a little treat, its so rich and yummy, if I didn’t break off one square at a time I would eat the entire bar in one sitting. I love chocolate orange & this is a good mix, not sweet but very zesty! This was around £1.

Let me know what bargains you have found this month.
