CND Vinylux – The Nude Collection

I am aware that we are well into Spring & brighter, more colourful nail polishes would be more appropriate, but I’m that girl who just loves to wear nudes. They always look fresh, elegant and work with every outfit. So I make no apologies for declaring my love for the CND Vinylux Nude Collection. Although their new Chic Shock Spring Collection is BEAUTIFUL.

I have two polishes from the recent Nude Collection ‘Unlocked’ & ‘Unearthed’ which are very different but still very classic nudes.

Unearthed – A warm tone brown.

Unmasked – A medium tone brown.

Unlocked – A light tone brown.

Uncovered – A warm nude pink.

These polishes are quite thick, but they apply smoothly and easily. The brush is a perfect size, it’s short and wide, which I find super quick and fuss-free to use. I applied two coats of both polishes, so the colour looked even and opaque. They dried very quickly, and I didn’t have to wait long at all to apply the topcoat & I think this is when the magic happens.

The Vinylux Weekly polish Top Coat is incredible, it gives a high shine finish and the quality looks as good as a professional nail salon but best of all my nail polish lasted chip-free for almost the 7 days. This is no mean feat as I work with my hands crafting & they usually get scuffed so easily, but this topcoat meant my manicure remained intact with no unsightly chips for 6 solid days. I was very, very impressed. The high shine finish didn’t dull either. This topcoat is a serious winner, and I am going to use it on top of all my manicures from now on.

I have been using Baylis & Harding products for years, they’re fantastic quality, very affordable and stocked in so many shops. I tend to get mine in the supermarket whilst I am doing my weekly shop, which is very convenient. It also looks like I’m not alone in being a big fan of their products as one in two households in Britain use them too!

One is SENSITIVE with calendula extract, geranium oil and vitamins B5 & E and the other NATURAL with oatmeal, milk & honey.

These are seriously big bottles and are fantastic to have by the kitchen sink or in the bathroom which gets used the most because these will last you months & months. Superdrug Raspberry & Vanilla Shower & Bath Soak

I can’t get enough of these Superdrug own brand shower gels. They have the nicest selection of scents. I picked up this Raspberry & Vanilla one and also my favourite Salted Caramel one too. They always seem to be on offer so I stock up and they last ages. This one is lovely and fruity with a touch of sweetness. This bath soak leaves my skin soft and makes my whole bathroom smell so good. Best of all is the fact they’re Vegan and cruelty-free, not to mention a complete bargain. So if you’re looking for a new shower gel (you can use them as bath soak too), I highly recommend this range. I really want to try the Rhubarb and Custard one but it is always sold out in my local Superdrug.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo – The Sleek Restorer with Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter

This is great if you find most shampoos weigh your hair down, or you find it difficult to wash it out fully. The consistency of this shampoo is like a lightweight gel, it is so easy to work through your hair and very quick to rinse out. It leaves hair feeling hydrated, looking smooth and glossy with no trace of product buildup. I have naturally wavy hair that can get super frizzy but this shampoo helps to keep it manageable and frizz-free. I really want to try the conditioner too. Oh and this smells like pure Summer in a bottle, it is gorgeous.

Compagnie de Provence Karite Liquid Marseille Soap

In my house, I enjoy having products in lovely packaging, especially items that are on display all the time like handwash. When I saw this one in a cute homeware shop in St Ives I had to get it. The soap is great & doesn’t leave my hands dry at all. It is enriched with nourishing Shea Butter which is rich in vitamins A, D, E and F.

The bottle is ceramic so when it runs out I will refill it and keep using it. I love the bold typeface used on the bottle and think the cream and black make it look very modern and not too in your face. It was £18.50 so a bit of a splurge but it is 500ml and going to last a long time, also as I said I will reuse the bottle so that makes it worthwhile.

Superdrug Vitamin E Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator

I have tried almost all of the Superdrug own brand skincare collections and have never been disappointed. They’re affordable, vegan and have really good ingredients. I bought this Oatmeal Exfoliator from the Vitamin E range on a whim and I have to say I love it. It isn’t abrasive but the oatmeal scrubbies are enough so they exfoliate away the dead skin without leaving skin sore. I often apply it then leave it on my skin like a facemask for a couple of minutes before massaging it over my skin then washing it off with a damp warm cloth. It reminds me of the LUSH Oatifix face mask. For under £3 this is a great exfoliator to have in your routine.

SheaMoisture 10-in-1 Multi-Benefit Hair Masque

I use this hair mask once a week and I try to leave it on my hair as long as possible (2-3 hours). It is a wonderful mask with so many benefits – well 10 to be exact and they are

This is the ideal mask to add to your pamper routine, it gives your hair such a deep treatment. Once I rinse this out my hair instantly feels silky smooth and healthy. It’s a great masque if you have dry, dull hair because this will bring back the shine.

It contains some fab hair loving ingredients & the whole SuperFruit Complex range is pretty fantastic. I have tried both the shampoo & conditioner and they’re well worth investing in it is great for hydrating and nourishing dry, damaged hair.

Michael Buble By Invitation Rose Gold EDP

I dubbed the original By Invitation fragrance from Michael as my favourite discovery of 2016, it was a really sexy fresh scent and encapsulated luxury and so I’m so excited that Michael Bublé is back with a new version, this latest release from Michael is just as luxurious and has a real Spring/Summer feel to it.

If, like me, you often overlook ‘Celebrity Fragrances’ I urge you to give this one a go. Unlike most celebrity endorsed products Michael Bublé himself was actually an integral part of every aspect of both fragrances and I have to say this new Rose Gold edition is something very special and has that touch of glamour and luxury you’d expect from the man himself.

Michael Buble’s new ‘By Invitation Rose Gold’ is a Floral Oriental Gourmand. A charming, feminine fragrance, it’s sensual, glamorous and combines a variety of luxurious warm, floral tones. This fragrance is very charming and elegant and it not only has a very layered, luxurious mix of notes it is a bottle that will look stunning on your vanity.

This beautiful new By Invitation Rose Gold is a Floral Oriental Gourmand. A charming, feminine fragrance – it’s sensual, glamorous and combines a variety of luxurious warm, floral tones. It’s a tender, modern sophisticated scent and I think it’s an ideal Spring/Summer perfume.

Starting with sophisticated top notes of radiant magnolia, red fruits and Granit pear, By Invitation Rose Gold has the tenderness of a rose and peony heart, with a hint of black plum. With a lingering praline and vanilla base – and just a touch of precious spice – the fragrance is charming and elegant.

This perfume has quite an unusual mix of notes, it’s a Floral Oriental Gourmand so you can make out the sweetness of the pear and red fruits which give it a Summer feel. The beautiful rose and peony give you a familiar fresh and floral scent whilst the black plum, praline and vanilla give it a warm, sweet but sexy twist and I just love the hint of precious spice that adds a very modern layer to this perfume. Your senses are really taken on a scent journey with this perfume and I just love it.

We have to discuss the stunning packaging and bottle, both of which have such a luxurious feel to them. The jewellery inspired bottle is a nod to the original By Invitation fragrance, I think this new Rose Gold release has a more contemporary feel as Rose Gold is very on trend.

I really like the way the bottle is suspended in the centre of a metal rose gold circle (which is designed to resemble premium jewellery), it looks extremely sophisticated and very elegant. The perfume also has a soft blush pink tint to it which makes it look very feminine and sexy. The bottle is weighty and there is such a luxurious feel to this design, and I think the bottle is quite unusual for a perfume bottle. You can tell a lot of time and work went into developing both the fragrance and the iconic bottle.
