So inside the April box are a couple of brands I have heard of and tried before and a few that are completely new to me, which is the beauty of these boxes as you get introduced to products you might never have purchased before. I think the April box has a great mix of makeup, skincare, haircare and they have included more of a lifestyle product in there too.

Inika Eyeliner Pencil

Inika Eye Pencil in Black Caviar – This is a jet black eyeliner, really pigmented and easy to apply, no tugging or patchy colour pay off. It’s the perfect creamy pencil to create a smokey eye with and has some great staying power. I love to wear black liner and I like how you can blend this one out for more of a softer look or really go to town and apply a bold feline flick. Inika is also Vegan and certified 100% Organic.

Forza Suppliments

Forza Multivitamins For Women – You get a 30 day supply of multivitamins. One tablet contains 13 different vitamins and minerals designed to meet the needs of women who are maintaining a low calorie diet. This is not meant to replace food or meals but help you achieve your daily requirement of vitamins. It contains Zinc, Vitamin K, C, B, D and Vitamin B12. I haven’t tried these as I am already taking vitamins and supplements so will be passing these on to my sister in law.

Korres Shampoo

Korres Aloe & Soapwort Shampoo 50ml – I thought this was going to smell overpowering from the name but I was completely wrong, it has a light fresh scent and is lovely in the morning. This shampoo left my hair feeling light and bouncy and very clean. It wasn’t stripping and I didn’t use a conditioner after so I could see the full effects of the shampoo & I was surprised that my hair looked as glossy as it did. I am a very big fan of Korres makeup and skincare so I was very excited to see this in the box. At 50ml it isn’t a full size but it its a deluxe sample size and ideal for travel.

Balance Me Revitalising Hand & Body Wash

Balance Me Revitalising Hand & Body Wash 100ml – This smells incredible and zesty. It contains a blend of calming mandarin, cleansing grapefruit, balancing bergamot and rejuvenating sweet orange, as well as a hint of mint to give a beautifully refreshing scent to help soothe the mind throughout the day. I have been using it as a handwash and it leaves my hands smooth, clean and feeling hydrated. You can smell the zesty fresh scent on your hands for ages after you use this & I love that!

CB12 Mouth Wash

CB12 Safe Breath Mouthwash 50ml – Now this might not be the most exciting product to find in your beauty box but this does promise to give you 12 hours of fresh breath. This smells quite strong & minty and only having used it once I can’t say how effective it is but my mouth felt clean and fresh. I do use a mouthwash every day but have never heard of this brand before. You get a cute 50ml sample in the box, its a good size for travel & thats what I am going to save it for.

TIGI Bed Head Manipulator

TIGI Bed Head Manipulator – This is such a blast from the past for me as I used to use this years ago & loved it. I had shorter hair & this worked wonders at holding the style whist still letting your hair be flexible. I now have longer hair so I have someone in mind that will love using this. You get 30g of product so its a good size and you need so little product. It smells so good, as do all TIGI products.

So what do you think of April’s box? I think it has a really good mix of products & well worth the £15. I’m excited about the Inika eyeliner, Balance Me wash and the Korres shampoo. The vitamins would be great but I’m already taking what I need, so those along with the TIGI haircare will be used by friends & I’m sure they will love them. The CB12 mouthwash isn’t jump up & down exciting but useful none the less.

If you get this box let me know if you received anything different as I know a couple of the products had alternatives.

Products that are marked with an * have either been sent to me for my consideration or I’ve received at events. I’m under no obligation to review them on my blog. However if I do, the reviews are 100% my own.

  1. I think this months box is a complete disappointment. There isn’t anything that excited me and I’d probably pass on most of the products. I am so annoyed I pre ordered. lol. I suppose thats the way beauty boxes are though, you can’t please everyone. Next month I will wait for the sneak peeks before buying. xxx

  2. It doesn’t look like the most exciting box, but it does look like a really useful one. They’re all things that would get used and it definitely looks like it’s worth the price ! xo

  3. Hmm not something I’m gonna buy, which is a shame as I was looking forward to their April box. I do not have a breath problem and I have had so many Inika products I have them coming out of my ears. And my hair doesn’t suit texturising pastes or gums. Definitely would be a waste of money for me to buy this. 🙁

  4. With Look Fantastic boxes, it’s never worth pre-ordering as they are practically trying to give them away after the release. Always would wait until you know what’s in it and I’m glad I didn’t pre-order this one either. It’s been a few months since I ordered one.

There’s also so much more competition out there now with better products and choices, so they need to review their customer focus. Not really a contender in the beauty box world for me. Seen much better. N’er mind.

  5. Slightly disappointed with this box, especially as last months was so good! Still, I’ve not tried anything from Inka so I’ll look forward to giving that a go x
