Mothers Day Gift Ideas

It’s mothers Day in the UK on the 10th of March and I thought I’d do a little roundup of gifts I know my Mum would like. I have bought her something off my list. Can’t say what in case she is reading. (hello mum x)

Mother's Day Gift Guide 2013

There is nothing more luxurious and as beautifully scented as a Jo Malone Candle. It is one of those things that you very rarely buy yourself so it makes the best gift. The Pomegranate Noir one is just lovely the scent fills the room even after you have blown it out. The YSL Youth Liberator Gift Set is a great luxurious skincare set, my mum is really into looking after her skin and looks amazing for her age. I am hoping that I look as good in 20 years! This set contains 30ml serum, 7ml creme and a 3ml eye crème. A great introduction to YSL skincare.

The Orla Kiely recipe box is great for any mum that likes to cook and a perfect place to keep recipes. Its stylish and practical, my Mum has so many pages ripped out of magazines and hand written recipes on scraps of paper, this box would be a great place to store them. I want this Mulberry Scarf for myself. It’s so nice and made of Cashmere – I can only imagine how soft this is and of course super stylish. I would buy this for my mum but then promptly pinch it never to return it. A scarf can really make an outfit look chic and give a great pop of colour.

Betty’s Handmade Macaroons  – How delicious do these look. It seems like the world has gone Macaroon mad & I’m so on bored with that. I love them and could eat the whole box. My mum would love a box of these dainty delights. The packaging is so pretty and you just know whatever is inside will be delicious.  The Grace Coddington’s Memoir’s– I’ve heard this is such a great read. My mum would love this book as an avid reader of Vogue for many years and again after she had finished with it I’d pinch it.

I love nothing more than having a catchup with my mum over a nice cup of tea and its even better when the tea is in a nice China Cup and Saucer. This blue and white one from Whittard’s is simple and pretty. I may have to get two of these so we have one each.

Have you any idea’s of what to get your Mum for Mother’s Day? Or have you done a post like this – if so let me know in the comments.

  1. I love the little recipe book, so cute. I could do with one of those in my kitchen as I have torn out pages everywhere! Might have to drop a hint to the hubby 🙂
