The Body Shop vitamin C Face Mist

I love using face mists and think they’re a great way of keeping your skin hydrated and feeling refreshed. This vitamin C one from The Body Shop leaves my skin looking radiant, and it has such a zesty uplifting scent. This is a great face mist for the warmer months. I also think its such a great affordable option. This bottle lasted me months and I will be repurchasing this for sure

Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier EDP*

I get so many compliments when I wear this perfume and I think its such a gorgeous luxurious scent. It’s quite a sweet fig scent, and it wears a really long time on me. I have written a full review of it here if you’d like to know a little more about it. I would repurchase this again in a heartbeat.

Olivine Atelier Love + Roses Beauty Mist

Another mist but this one is more multi functional and is somewhat of a cult product. I loved everything about it, from the Pinterest pleasing packaging to the huge list of ways it can be used and of course all the beauty benefits too! This isn’t just a run-of-the-mill face spray Olivine Atelier have included lots of ingredients that will help hydrate, soothe and combat the signs of ageing, if you want to know more then pop over & read my review. I have another bottle of this and I don’t think I will ever be without it. I am also pleased to say Love + Roses is 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free, eco-friendly (the glass bottles are reusable and recyclable) and made in small batches with love in the Pacific Northwest.

Merumaya Iconic Youth Serum*

If you have read my blog for a while you will know all about my love for the British Skincare brand Merumaya – unrivalled skincare at affordable prices (honestly they’re that good). Their Iconic Youth Serum is one of my favourite products from their ever-growing range, I like how nourishing this is & it instantly makes my skin feel velvety soft. This serum has an exclusive complex of 10 clinically tested, active ingredients all used in full concentration, its such an incredible product and my skin has never looked more radiant. I’m sad this has run out & I will be placing an order before Christmas so will get another tube then.

Giorgio Armani Fragrance Si

This is one of my all-time favourite perfumes. It has notes of Vanilla, Blackcurrant, Rose de Mai and Patchouli and base notes of blond amber which give it a sophisticated musky scent. When you initially spray this you can smell the Vanilla which gives it a sweet scent, but it calms down to reveal a chic musky scent which lingers all day. I always treat myself to a bottle from duty free so lets hope I jet off somewhere soon so I can restock.

Laidbare Pack Your Bags Eye Cream

I’m addicted to trying eye cream & this one was spotted whilst buying healthy snacks in Holland & Barratt. I would describe it as quite a thick cream, but it does absorb quickly and leaves my under eye area feeling smooth, soft and hydrated. I wouldn’t say it got rid of my bags, but I did like it as an eye cream. It contains Buckwheat wax which helps reduce puffiness and dark circles and Shea butter which is great at hydrating. It’s pretty affordable & I would use it again.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I have repurchased this so many times & I like it, it’s as simple as that. I use it most days and a 400ml bottle lasts a couple of months. I do buy this in Savers and that’s where I have found it cheapest. There are so many micellar waters on the market now & this is up there with the best I have tried, and It’s easy to get hold of and affordable. So ticks all the boxes for me.

Origins Super Spot Remover

Oh, this little product is my go-to treatment for angry blemishes. I put a layer of the gel over the spot and let it work its magic. I like that it’s instantly cooling on the skin, and you can feel it working right away. I think it really helps calm and treat the area and stops blemishes from becoming too sore & angry. It always helps heal them faster too.  This bottle might be small, but the contents are pretty mighty & last a heck of a long time. I have just opened a fresh bottle which is always satisfying, so I’m ready to combat and angry blemishes!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara*

This has been my favourite Benefit Mascara, I love that it lengthens my lashes without looking spidery, and it doesn’t clump, but it makes your lashes look thick and full, and it really does hold a curl. The packaging is super cute too. I’m hoping to have a tube of this in my stocking this year, so fingers crossed.

Cornwall Week #3

The Ship Inn Fowey Cornwall

Polkerris Cottages

We are starting to get in to our groove in Cornwall, and have found our perfect spot for coffee everyday and favourite evening walk (we are creatures of habit). This week I also turned 37, because we had just spent a fortune on the move we kept celebrations low key and took a trip to Polkerris and Fowey. We have been before a couple of years ago and it is so close to where we live so it was nice just to pop there for a couple of hours. It started off a little cloudy but turned into such a beautiful sunny morning it was so nice to spend some time by the river and relax.

I don’t think I will ever get tired of seeing the sea or the beautiful white wash cottages.

Kaffe Fassett Collection for Heathcote & Ivory

Kaffe Fassett Products

Kaffe Fassett Collection for Heathcote & Ivory

So this year Heathcote and Ivory have teamed up with Kaffe Fassett for the latest collection called ‘Achillea’ and I think these products make just the sweetest gifts (especially with Xmas just around the corner). Kaffe Fassett is one of the world’s greatest practitioners of contemporary design, his passion for colour, his fascination with texture and his love of flowers have all found expression in an extraordinary body of work that includes textile design, knitwear, needlepoint, rugs, garden design, mosaics, ceramics and painting so this collaboration with Heathcote & Ivory is pretty exciting, the patterns are bold and the classic Achillea scent is beautiful and timeless.

Kaffe Fassett Handcream Trio

The collection includes a line of body products including hand creams, body washes and body lotions which are all beautifully packaged in the bold bright floral design. The collection also has some gift sets and a gorgeous cosmetics bag and drawer liners and beautiful candles. So the collection is pretty big and has a great selection of products to keep for yourself or for gifts for the women in your life.

I have been using 3 products from this Kaffe Fassett Collection for Heathcote & Ivory and have really enjoyed them.

Kaffe Fassett Collective Hand Creams*

Which come packaged in a lovely box with a pretty floral pattern, and you get 3 good handbags sized hand creams. Each hand cream comes in a squeeze tube with a different colourful floral pattern, all three are feminine and very pretty, The scent is the same for all three and is has the uplifting scents of bergamot, orange blossom, musk and oleander. So not overly floral and the scent of Bergamot is slightly masculine which I really like.

It leaves my hands smelling great and feeling soft and nourished too. These creams have some great skincare ingredients to help keep your hands feeling smooth and looking their best. Using Active levels of honey and rise, enriching sea butter and pro-B5 blended together to give your hands a real treat. These creams also has sunflower seed oil which helps keeps your hands hydrated and slows the flow of water from the skin.

I have passed a tube on to my mum, and she loves the scent too.

Kaffe Fassett Make Up Bag

Kaffe Fassett Heathcote Ivory Collection

Also, I think the stand-out piece from the collection in my opinion is this beautiful Cosmetics Bag*. The pink is so detailed and pretty, it makes me feel like its Summer when I use this. The quality is incredible, and you can fit all the makeup and skincare you need for a long weekend. I like that the top opens up wide so you can find exactly what you need quickly because it has a structure frame opening. It’s also lined with bright pink material which is OK with me!

Kaffe Fassett Makeup Bag

I was also sent some Scented Drawer Liners* from the collection which I didn’t open for a while because I just thought who uses them any more, but curiosity got the better of me & to my surprise they smelt so good. It’s the same scent as the hand creams with notes of bergamot, orange blossom, musk and oleander. I must admit I was a little quick to judge, I do still think drawer liners are quite an old-fashioned product, but I have put a couple in my laundry basket and my bathroom smells a lot better. I wouldn’t rush out to purchase them myself but if you know someone that uses them these Kaffe Fassett ones do smell very good.

Shopping My Stash September 2015

Shopping My Stash September 2015

OK where did September go? Quickest month of the year but also a very exciting one for me as I moved house & now call the beautiful county of Cornwall home. If there are any other Cornish beauty bloggers say Hello in the comments. Now lets see what I have products I have rediscovered this month.

NARS Blush in Orgasm

I only have two NARS Blushers and I used to use them all the time but as my collection grew I used them less, but I have fallen back in love with Orgasm this past month. I had forgotten how beautiful it looks on the cheeks. I do like it for more of an evening blush but if you use it lightly it can work for daytime too. It does have a touch of gold shimmer running through but it catches the light and gives you healthy glow to your skin. I like the peachy pink colour on my skin. I also like NARS packaging it always feels so lovely and luxurious.

L’Oreal Color Riche Smoky Quad in Rose Memories

I love L’Oreal eyeshadows and adore all four shades in this quad, these are so pretty and very me. I bought this at the end of 2014 last & got quite a lot of use from it then like most makeup items it was forgotten about. I’m so glad I’ve rediscovered it because it is gorgeous. This quad isn’t for matte eyeshadow fans because all four colours have shimmer in them, its not disco ball glitter but they have a hint of shimmer / frost finish .I love the darkest plum colour & think it looks so pretty worn alone all over the lid. The packaging of this is slim and compact it looks and feels quite luxurious.

Clarins Instant Light Complexion Base

I like to wear this either under my foundation to perk my skin up or I mix it in with my foundation for an extra reflective boost. This gives me a healthy glow and does a good job at evening out my skin tone. I have the shade Champagne 02 & have found this creamy pink shade is pretty good at dulling the redness in my skin. Its lovely and lightweight so it doesn’t feel greasy on the skin at all, it just gives you a dewy fresh healthy glow. I also think its a great base to apply your foundation on top of , think of it as a primer with benefits & it keeps your complexion looking fresh & bright all day.

Soap & Glory Wonderbronze

This product wasn’t in the depths of my stash, I have had it looked out for a while, I just hadn’t found the best way to use it. It was one of those products that I was a little scared to use. It can look a little OTT if you don’t stick to the ‘Less is More’ mantra. This Wonderbronze is a gorgeous shimmer brick made up of 5 shades ranging from champagne to deep brown, all the shades have shimmer running through them. I like to swirl my brush through them all and apply it to the tops of my cheeks & it gives a beautiful bronze glow. Its a bronzer and highlighter all in one now I apply it with a light hand I have mastered the subtle glow. You get a decent sized mirror which is always a bonus. I have to say the Soap & Glory face products are fantastic value for money. I have a few now & rate them all very highly.

DHC Premium Lipstick in Rich Raspberry*

This a gorgeous creamy berry shade and it feels so smooth and soft on my lips. The staying power isn’t incredible because the formula is creamy but it does last a couple of hours. The colour is intense and has a satin finish which makes it look beautiful on the lips. I think this berry shade is a beautiful Autumnal colour & I’m going to keep it in my everyday makeup stash for October too. The packaging of these lippies is beautiful too and it looks more expensive than it is. I’m not much of a lipstick lover but these DHC offerings are really pretty.
