Neal and Wolf Luxury Haircare Review

nealandwolf

I love to use nice hair products, I’m trying to use products that tame my locks and leave it glossy. I have naturally wavy hair and most days I don’t use heat on it as I let it dry naturally (apart from my fringe). I like the effortless look and have been growing my hair for the past year as I want to plat it and do lots of hairstyles that require long locks. Slowly but surely I’m getting there, and my hair is now down to my shoulders.

I was kindly sent three products from Neal and Wolf to try. I’ve been using them for almost 6 weeks now and feel I can really give you a good review of them. Not only that, but I had never heard of this brand before, but a quick google search showed that I have clearly been living under a rock as they are really well-known and loved by a lot of people.

Neal & Wolf

You can’t purchase them on the high street, they are only available in selected hairdressers and online. You can order them from the Neal & Wolf online shop or on Amazon.

I have been trying their Daily Cleansing Shampoo, Intense Care Treatment and the Super Shine Spray.

Neal and Wolf

The Daily Cleansing Shampoo  250ml – £10.95

I wash my hair every 3 days and I so look forward to using this shampoo as it leaves no greasy heavy residue in your hair and if you didn’t want to condition your hair you’d still be left with glossy locks. It’s a very gentle cleansing shampoo and it smells utterly luxurious. It has a mixture of silk, milk and Shea extract. I don’t think I have used a shampoo as nice as this, I feel like my hair is getting a treatment and so am I. You just have to smell it to understand.

Hair care

Intensive Care Conditioner 200ml – 12.95

My hair can get dry even though I very rarely use heat to style it and with dry hair comes flyaway hair, which is so hard to tame, but this conditioner is so creamy and nourishing. I use this once a week for a really deep luxurious treatment and leave it on my hair for 10 minutes. Neal & Wolf say that ‘The difference in texture and appearance is truly stunning, leaving hair shiny, healthy and manageable.’ I have to agree my hair is very silky and bouncy, not weighed down at all. This is my favourite product from the 3 I have tried.

Super Shine Spray 100ml – £11.95

The first thing I need to say about this is that it smells better than some of my perfumes, It’s blooming lovely. This is a spray that you put on after styling on dry hair to really ramp up the shine. I tend to spray it more on the length of my hair, as I get greasy roots very easily. You only need a couple of sprays to do the job & the spray action is very even, is like a mist which I like.

I have to say I’m thrilled to have been introduced to this brand and I have my eye on a couple more things from them. Their hair care would make a really nice gift for someone who is into hair care as their packaging is really luxurious, and the products are like having a salon experience at home. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Let me know if you have tried anything from Neal & Wolf as I’d love to hear your recommendations.

* These three products were kindly sent to me for my consideration. My review is 100% my own.

Bath and Body Works

I went into Bath & Body Works with only one item on my list and that was the infamous Pocket Bac’s. They were on offer 5 for $5 BARGAIN! So I bought 10. My husband had to wait outside because he said it smelt stronger than LUSH in there. I liked the scent and they have so many amazing ranges and products for sale. I could’ve shopped in there all day.

I hope that one day they at least open one store in the UK – preferably north of Birmingham so It’s close to me.

Hand Sanitiser

There is only 8 in the photo as I gave one Vanilla Cupcake to my friend and I have the other one of those in my car (it smells so sweet). I think it is the nicest scent.

I also bought the 2x Raspberry Pink Peony, Vanilla Berry Sorbet, Warm Vanilla Sugar, Island Nectar, Midnight Pomegranate, Sweet Pea and Caribbean Escape.

Hand Sanitiser

It took me so long to decide on what to buy as they have whopping 56 different ones to choice from, 56!!! Have you ever tried anything from this shop?

Travel Skincare

Better late than never – I forgot to post this Travel Skincare Post, I’ve been back from holiday for almost a month and it pains me to say that. I still have the holiday blues. Here is a roundup of what skincare I took to San Francisco, I tried to take sachets and miniatures as I really wanted to travel light & only take things that I know I would use.

Travel Skincare

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream – This smells really fresh and not sweet like alot of hand creams. I would say it’s quite a grown up scent and I like it. It absorbs in to my hands really fast and I don’t have to re apply it much throughout the day.

No7 Anti Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection in Factor 50 – I have a post on this here but its safe to say I love this. Its great under makeup and doesn’t break me out. My husband even puts this on his face and he normally finds SPF too greasy on his skin. This will always be my go to facial sun protection.

Caudalie Lip Conditioner – This was so hydrating on the flight and I used it alot whilst on holiday, the only downside was that it snapped and melted a little too. But it is a very hydrating lip balm.

Sanex Deodorant – The boring necessity.

FCUK Body Butter – This was part of a Christmas set and came in so handy. I used it every day and it lasted me the full 8 days of my holiday. Left my skin smooth and soft.

Travel Skincare

Caudalie Micellar Water – I thought this might not last me but it did and I liked using it. It wasn’t great at removing Waterproof mascara but I very rarely wear it.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – I may have found my HG cleanser. This was a dream to use, my makeup melted off my face and found massaging this into my face at night really relaxing and my skin looked so good all week & normally after a 12 hour flight my skin hates me. So I will be purchasing the full size of this as soon as my mini runs out. This small bottle has lasted me for 4 weeks of use, that’s crazy – a little goes a long way for sure.

San Francisco Skincare

Carex Hand Gel – I only used this for travel, to keep those pesky germs at bay. I picked up some amazingly gorgeous smell Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitiser whilst I was in San Francisco so I used that whilst I was there.

Elemis Amozing Shampoo and Pro Vitamin Conditioner – I had 2 of each bottle to take and they were initially from the APEX Hotel in London, I have no shame in taking the products away with me & when they’re Elemis even better. This Shampoo & Conditioner combination kept my hair looking glossy and quite tame in the heat of San Francisco.

Molton Brown Shower Gel – I am a huge fan of most of the Molton Brown scents and this Body Lotion was just lovely for holiday. It’s like a little bit of luxury.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir – Perfect as a cool down refreshing spray in the Californian heat. I took it on the plane too and loved using it.

Skincare

These are the skincare samples I took. Quite a few were from my recent What in My Handbag purchase. The Oskia skincare I thought smelt a little odd & although they left my skin super soft, I’m not sure I would pay their prices. The Aesop offerings I loved & I haven’t tried anything from this brand that I haven’t loved. Out of the 3 Oskia sachets I took with me the Get Up & Glow Booster was my favourite.

NUDE Miracle Mask was lovely, I used this one night before going out to dinner and it left my skin so smooth and hydrated. Contemplating purchasing the full size.

I used the Trilogy Rosehip Oil on the plane as a moisture boost and washed off the excess before I got off. It seemed to do the trick.

Korres – Moisturiser and Serum were a lovely combination. I have to say that I am in love with the serum. It was just what my skin needed after a long warm day in the City. My drink lapped it up.

I didn’t end up using the Rodial Mask or the Creme De La Mere Moisturiser.

So all in all I think I managed to travel pretty light and I used up most of the products I took with me which meant I had more room to bring back American Goodies! See my haul here and here

Magazine Freebie

Just a quick heads up that Marie Claire have a great freebie this month. It’s out today & when I bought mine they were being snapped up fast.

It’s the Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Liner (the freebie is smaller than this one). I swatched on my hand It’s very very black which I like and also really thin so you will be able to get a very precise line. So be quick if you want one. The magazine was £3.80 & the eyeliner is worth £8. If you like liquid liner then I say grab one … or two 🙂
