Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream

I picked this Midnight Recovery Eye Cream up on a recent trip to London and have been using it for almost a month now. I put it on each night after my serum and leave it to soak in before applying my moisturisers. Its quite a thick consistency and takes a little rubbing in. After your fingers heat it up, it rubs in quite well. I put a good amount on and let it all soak in.

The lovely lady in the Covent Garden Kiehl’s store advised me that this eye cream was good at restoring brightness to your undereye area & boy did i need that. I haven’t been sleeping great & noticing that my under eyes were getting dry and dark. So after just over 3 weeks of use i have noticed a positive change, my under eyes are not dry and the skin is less dark so i ‘m going to continue to use it and see if it keeps getting better. I can’t say it makes them look younger but they do look brighter and i’m happy with that.

You get 15ml, not a great amount but for such a small area you don’t use alot of product. It’s a great size to throw in your makeup bag whilst travelling so thats good as i am always tired when travelling and need a good heavy duty eye cream.

Your under eye area is so delicate its nice to use products that are natural and contain no nasties and Kiehl’s are a company that strive to deliver that. I even convinced my brother to talk to them about his skin and he bought a couple of products so i’d say thats a result.

The Cosmetics Company Outlet Store

Whilst I was down in Manchester watching Guns & Roses I went to The Cosmetics Company Outlet Store at Cheshire Oaks. This place is a little treasure chest of beauty goodies. It stocks brands like Bobbi Brown, Mac, Estee Lauder, Clinique and Origins. All at slightly lower prices, so what beauty junkie could pass up the opportunity to get a bargain? Not me. I picked up a few bits one being this Golden Lariat Mineralize Skin Finish from the Wonder Woman collection. I loved the collection when it was out in the shops last year but didn’t purchase anything so when I saw this I had to get it.

The packaging alone is so nice. I know most of you have seen this collection with it being from Spring 2011 but i had to blog about it.

I have been looking for another highlighter product one thats not too shimmery & glitzy. So this is perfect & for the price £18.25 i couldn’t leave it. You get a whopping 20g of product so thats going to last so long. The swatches came out quite well, i love the golden colour & cant wait to try it on a night out. I do wish it had a mirror tho, but ho hum.

Boots No 7 Voucher

It’s back that little £5 No7 voucher that appears ever so often. I try and use them but tend to buy the same things  like wipes and eye makeup remover. I seem to be not too adventurous with them. What do you buy with them. I need some tips and inspiration. Product recommendations would be fab x

Jurlique Soothing Foaming Cleanser

It took me a wee while to get used to the scent of this Jurlique Soothing Cleanser, it has a very herbal smell to it. Its very strong, at first I wasn’t too sure about it. The sales assistant in SpaceNK recommended this as i wanted a morning cleanser, an alternative to my Liz Earl Cleanse & Polish. I wanted a non hot cloth cleanser for the morning so this is what she recommended for sensitive skin.

Jurlique Cleanser

OK so scent aside (I am used to it now) this is a great cleanser it has a very calming affect on the skin and is really gives your skin a deep clean. It also removes all traces of makeup and this I really like. I hate cleansing then having to repeat because there is still makeup left. Double cleansing is OK if you are wearing a little more makeup than normal but when you’re using quite a pricey cleanser i don’t want to use twice the amount each time.

Since using this cleanser i have noticed my skin is calmer and less red. This cleanser doesn’t strip the moisture from your skin it leaves your skin feeling bright and fresh. So i am enjoying using it & after using it for a good 6 weeks i still have over half the bottle left. For the 200ml it costs – £27.50

This isn’t the first Julique product i’ve used, i have used their hand creams and loved them. I am defiantly going to look at their product range and pick up a few more skincare items. Do you have any recommendations.
