American Apparel Nail Lacquer in Lipstick

Wow what a wonderful red colour this is. Its not too in your face red. Its a great warm classic red. I have been super impressed with American Apparel nail lacquer. I bought 3 for £17 which i thought was a great deal. I hate that these are on the counter tho’ and you have to fight with people waiting to pay in the queue and you cant see them properly. But i stood my ground and browsed them for as long as i could manage. I finally picked 3 colours (the other 2 will be blog reviewed later in the week).

This colour is aptly named lipstick, i think its works best with 2 coats and the colour really pops. It dries really fast to to a vibrant colour. They have such a fab range of colours i could have purchased so many. The quality is really long wearing, i used Sally Hansen Diamond top coat and got 4 days of really great colour without chipping. I change my nail colour too often so never find out how long a colour could last.

You get 15ml of product and are normally priced at £9 they have a huge selection of colours to pick from.

Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray

I purchased the small travel size of this Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray using my Boots points (makes it feel free). I have been using this at night after i have taken my makeup off & cleansed my face – but before i moisturise. I spray it on my face and then relax for 10 mins and let it really soak in then i put my night time moisturiser on. As we seem to be still in the throws of winter with this crappy weather lately i have felt my skin needed a little more added moisture than normal.

With this being a miniature size i thought it was a perfect way of testing it out and as we start getting warmer weather my skin gets less dry so i shouldn’t need it in the summer and i have the Cauldalie Beauty Elixir for the summer months. I have really been enjoying this moisture burst and think i will use it agan as we get in to Autumn and Winter and i can see it would be great to travel with to freshen up and stop your face and skin drying out on flights and long journeys.

I have heard alot of great things about Avene skincare and thought this products would be a great place to start. Boots have a great selection of Avene products and i am sure i will be adding to it soon. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Shopping My Stash Week 1

This is an idea i have borrowed from Vivianna Does Makeup love reading her blog. Shopping your stash is a way of rediscovering products that have been laying unloved in the bottom of draws and also it stops you from just doing the same look over and over. I am terrible for reaching for the same products and negecting my collection. Mostly just out of laziness and also i am not living in my own house at the moment and so my makeup is not set up as it would normally be and i forget what i have as i can’t see it all.

I don’t wear too much makeup day to day as I work from home, this means i can get away with minimal effort day to day (love it). So this week i shopped my stash and this is what i picked. Its like having new products i loved it.

Latest in Beauty CEW(UK) Box

I ordered one of the limited edition Latest in Beauty Boxes last week and it arrived super quick. This box celebrates a range of products and brands that have been nominated as finalists in the CEW(UK) beauty awards by industry insiders. I was so excited, as you receive over £50 of products for £11.95 – now i am a sucker for a bargain and a beauty bargain is just going to get me every time.

I have never ordered from Latest in Beauty before although i have tried, I was always too slow and these boxes were sold out :o( They also do 3 luxury samples for £1.50 But that hasn’t ever really appealed to me.

So the box as i said came really quickly and i am thrilled with the products. I have always wanted to test out Benefit The POREfessional and the Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish before purchasing them in full size. The other samples look great too. Apart from the perfume sample by Elle Sab, i really do not like this scent so will give that away.
