Shu Uemura

Visited the Shu Uemura shop in Covent Garden, what a lovely shop. Small but full of beauty goodies (love it in there). I made two purchases. I’ve been looking for a nice soft pink shadow & a darker pink for the crease my collection seems to be lacking in good pink colours. I got two pressed shadows and one of their custom black cases to put them in.

There packaging is so classic and understated. I like it.

This colour from Shu Uemura is Light Pink 125 its a lovely soft dusky pink the refill costs £11. Its a great all over eye colour, makes your eye look bright and fresh. It’s called as a pearl shadow with light reflecting properties. Please excuse my dry skin on my hands :o(

The darker pink is such a cute colour i am going to use this on my crease & to make a slight smokey pink eye.The swatch doesn’t do it justice (partly due to my dry as hell skin on my hand). This colour is called Soft Pink 155 and is a classed as a Metallic shadow  – it does have a nice sheen to it when applied to your lid.

I have been impressed with the staying power of these shadows even without a primer. I must say i really like the darker pink ALOT!

So i also bought a Cream Eye Shadow in Beige. The packaging feels like a Mac paintpot as its in a glass pot with a screw lid. Their cream shadows cost £19 for 5g.

This cream shadow for me works well almost like a primer or to get a good all over colour on the lid. It is a real subtle beige colour and being a real neutral eye fan this is perfect to build a great neutral eye on using it as a great base. Your eyeshadow clings to this like glue and lasts all day long.

I would recommend these cream shadows they are long wearing and apply really well. I think i will get a few more brighter colours next time and see what their colour payoff is like.
