MUA Sweet Sheen Lipbalms

MUA Sweet Sheen Lip balms

MUA Sweet Sheen Lipbalms* are part of their new Spring 2015 Collection & I love them. They are available in 6 pretty shades all perfect for Spring. I have 5 of them & they all give the lips a light wash of colour, the darker shades are more pigmented as you would expect. They are all very wearable and it’s nice to finally be wearing some brighter colours after what feels like the longest Winter ever.

MUA Sweet Sheen Collection MUA Sweet Sheen Swatches

All the above swatches are one swipe, I think the colour payoff is quite good bearing in mind these are a tinted lip balm. The colours can be built up – but don’t expect the colours to be bold. They feel very comfortable on the lips and they have a light sweet vanilla scent which I like.

My favourite shades are Cherry Bomb which is a pinky red and French Violet which is a gorgeous lilac. Both are currently in my handbag and I have been loving wearing them. These tinted lip balms make perfect effortless daytime lip colours, subtle but pretty. I like the packaging too and think it is very functional, it’s nice to have a tinted lip balm in a twist up bullet like a lipstick.

Pink Lilly is the lightest shade & is a very light frosted pink colour, it didn’t really show up on my lips. Rouge Rumba is a berry red shade and is one of the most pigmented colour out of the 5 I have tried. Coral Reef is a very pretty peach pink and this looks pretty and fresh on the lips.

At £2 each these are extremely great value and highly recommend getting a few for Spring.

Blistex Happy Lips

Blistex New Spring Happy Lips

I’m very much looking forward to Spring and everything that comes with this season. The lighter days & nights, warmer weather & all the new spring makeup, skincare & clothing.

So as I was daydreaming about Spring I was so excited to receive these Happy Lips* in the post last week. These are the new Spring Lip Balms from Blistex and now my lips think its Spring already, the weather just needs to catch up.

Blistex Happy Lips

Blistex New Spring Happy Lips

So as I type, I am eating a few cheeky bonbons (which were in my package) & thinking about how fruity & fun these Happy Lips are. Perfect for Spring & popping in your handbag or if you’re going on a cheeky Spring break maybe your beach/pool bag. These new lip balms come in two scents

Mouth Watering Mango

This is my favourite of the two it smells like freshly ripe mango & makes me think of exotic holidays. Oh & this one just might happen to have my name on the packaging (easily pleased).

Simply Sensational Strawberry

This scent smells a lot sweeter than the Mango, it’s still fruity but I just think Strawberry is a really hard scent to achieve without it smelling a little too sweet. I think this one will appeal more to teens.

Blistex Spring Releases Blistex Happy Lips Spring

Both Happy Lips are intensively moisturising & contain Vitamin E to keep your lips looking smooth & feeling soft and hydrated. The formula isn’t greasy & they feel nice on the lips. The packaging is bright, fun & travel-friendly. These are the perfect affordable lip product to help beat the Winter Blues.

Just note that these lip balms do not contain SPF so be sun aware. But if you’re looking for a cute fruity hydrating lip balm this Spring make sure you check these out. The Mango one is already in my handbag & I will be using it a lot!

These new Spring Happy Lips are the latest addition to the Blistex range & the Mango & Strawberry are available as of January 26th in larger Boots Stores & online at www.boots.com

Mango is also available from larger Tesco Stores.
