Alex Steinherr Plump and Glow Moisturiser

I have been waiting for the best part of 6 months to try the Alex Steinherr X Primark skincare collection. My local Primark doesn’t stock it so when I was up in Manchester recently I bought 3 products and I love them all. This Plump and Glow moisturiser is lightweight and leaves the skin looking fresh, plump and radiant. I can’t believe this only costs £5. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which is great for helping your skin retain moisture, Centella Asiatica which is a natural anti-inflammatory (great for reducing redness and soothing skin) and Pink pomelo (which is a citrus fruit) which is antioxidant rich and protects the skin against the damaging effects of free radicals.

This is a great moisturiser to add to your skincare regime, especially if you’re looking for products that keep your skin looking refreshed, smooth and hydrated.

I love these retexturising pads, I use them in the evening after cleansing and before I apply my evening skincare. These pads use a blend of Fruit Acids and Glycolic Acids, which gently removes the top layer of skin along with the grime and dirt from the day. Including pollution, dirt, oil, and dead skin cells, this helps to help keep your skin glowing and stop your pores getting clogged. You get 60 pads and I use them every other day, really quick and easy and a great step for preventing blemishes and keeping your skin looking its best.

Stri Vectin Multi-Action R&R Eye Cream*

I have been using this eye cream since Christmas and yes It is very expensive but Stri Vectin is a premium skincare brand & I do rate and really love their products. This Multi-Action R&R eye cream is lovely and creamy it is formulated to target the five major signs of ageing which includes lines & wrinkles, dark circles, sagging, puffiness and dehydration. It really hydrates my under eye really well, and I have noticed my concealer sits well and doesn’t crease as badly when I apply this first. My dark circles are always quite bad, and I don’t think any eye cream would make a big difference to them, but I will say it reduces puffiness, smooths and helps me look more awake. If this cream is within your budget, then I highly recommend adding it to your routine.

Super Facialist vitamin C Brightening Face Polish

This is my second tube of this incredible face polish, I repurchased it as soon as it had run out as I never want to be without it. This face scrub smells like summer – it has such a fresh, zesty citrus scent which I love and which reminds me of holidays! It’s gentle enough that you can use it daily, but I have been using it every 2 days and that’s been working well for me. It has a lightweight gel texture which is infused with biodegradable microbeads to softly remove dead skin cells & daily impurities and dirt. It is boosted with antioxidant ferulic acid and vitamins C & E to promote brighter looking skin. So if you have quite dull skin and get a little texture where dead skin forms around your nose, chin area then this is perfect for addressing that! Packed with vitamin C and natural skin brighteners, it encourages skin’s renewal and energises the complexion to keep it looking fit, radiant and youthful. I also like how well my makeup applies after using this and that my skin is smoother and super soft!

Jurlique Activating Water Essence

I discovered this product last year, and it was the first Essence I had tried. I’d heard using an Essence was a very popular step in Asian skincare routines, but was dubious whether I needed to add another step to my already quite rigorous regime. After using it for a while, I realised that it was that perfect step for refreshing and hydrating your skin before going in with your serum. Just to be clear, an Essence is not a toner, nope it’s used after both cleansing and toning, it can replenish moisture, balance skin’s PH levels and help skin look glowing, and it is now one of the steps in my routine that I look forward too.

At the centre of the Jurlique Activating Water Essence is their star ingredient – Marshmallow Root Extract, which is great for deeply hydrating skin and improving its ability to retain moisture. If you have yet to try an essence, I highly recommend trying one.

Rose Moisture Plus Balancing Serum

Jurlique are well-known for their incredible quality rose products, they have an Organic Farm in the Adelaide Hills of Australia where they grow many of the herbs, flowers (including their roses) and plants for their products. This serum is part of their Moisture Plus range, and it is fantastic at reviving tired, dry skin. It combines rosehip fruit oil, evening primrose oil and green tea extract to protect the skin’s barrier and provide extended moisture to keep skin cushioned, fresh and looking radiant.

LOVE this product, in fact, I really like the whole Purely Age Defying range, if I was pushed to name my must-have product from Jurlique it would 100% be this Face Oil. I have used up so many bottles and always have one on the go. I use it at night, and it performs nothing short of a miracle because when I wake up my skin looks well rested and healthy, it also works to even skin tone and keeps skin looking plump. It is infused with a trio of potent anti-ageing ingredients; Blackcurrant Seed Oil helps to improve elasticity and firmness, Buriti Oil reduces fine lines and wrinkles and Rock Samphire Extract helps to support collagen synthesis and promotes a firmer complexion. So your skin is in good hands with this, and my skin always feels incredible after I have used it.

Jurlique Rose Silk Finishing Powder

Most people are unaware that Jurlique does finishing powder, I think it is the only makeup product they stock, but it is one of my absolute favourites. This loose powder is so fine & lightweight that it never feels heavy or drying on the skin. It’s a translucent powder so it’s not going to add coverage or leave a white cast on your skin. It is great for setting makeup and keeping that oily t zone in check. I like to apply this with a big powder brush & sweep the product across my t-zone & chin, it has a really nice floral scent and my go-to powder for eliminating that dreaded shine but leaving the skin with a slight matte velvety smooth finish.

It contains the key ingredients Corn Starch & Rice Starch which act as natural substitutes for talc, while Silican imparts a smooth texture on the skin, Glycerin helps to moisturise and prevent moisture loss and Arnica helps soothe and cool the skin. If you like your setting powder to leave your skin with a slightly matte finish without looking flat, then this would be a great product for you.

Jurlique Purely Age-Defying Ultra Firm and Lift Cream

This moisturiser does feel quite thick and rich when you first apply it but give it a minute and your skin will have absorbed it to leave you with a velvety soft finish. It’s so nourishing and instantly smoothing. It contains powerful natural ingredients such as Yeast Extract to help promote collagen synthesis, Amino Acid Lipid Complex promotes skin remodelling and contraction of collagen fibres, Rock Samphire Extract supports skin density while reducing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles and finally Beech Tree Bud Extract accelerates the production of fresh new cells. For me, the one thing I noticed almost instantly from using this is my skin looked smoother, which is why I think it makes the perfect base for foundation. It helps give you that flawless base.

Jurlique Jasmine Hand Cream

All year round I have dry hands and I always have to have a hand cream with me. It has to be one that doesn’t just make them feel smooth but one that actually hydrates them and stops them feeling dry again within minutes. One of the first products I ever bought from Jurlique over 10 years ago was one of their luxurious hand creams & all this time on I still adore them. I’m currently using their Jasmine one and it has a light fresh scent and includes safflower seed oil & macadamia nut oil, blended with glycerin, aloe vera, calendula, honey, violet & chamomile extract which replenishes skin with deep hydration.

Tropic Super Greens Nutrient Boost Serum

I thoroughly enjoy using serums in my skincare routine, they’ve become a step I look forward too. Yes, this serum from Tropic Skincare is green and it does have an unusual scent but do not let that put you off. This is a luxurious serum which at full price is £42 and I have to say it is worth every single penny. It is a serum that combats quite a few skin concerns including dull, tired, skin and also addressing troublesome skin by helping repair inflammation and heals blemishes.

The key ingredients are Super Greens (which you might be more familiar seeing on your plate rather than in your skincare) such as Kale, chlorophyll and maca root extracts which help rejuvenate dull skin and organic tamanu oil helps to repair inflammation and heal blemishes. Green coffee extract not only stimulates skin cell renewal, it protects against pollution which is a major factor in premature ageing and dull skin.

This lightweight serum addresses so many skin concerns and the rich, nutritious, natural ingredients ensure this is a product that you can rely on to deliver results. If you get chance you must give this serum a go.

Roger & Gallet Ultra Nourishing Oil

This Roger & Gallet Body Oil is beautifully nourishing and leaves your skin with a healthy glow & feeling very hydrated. Also just as important as all the lovely skincare benefits the scent of this is incredible, the fig is my favourite scent and the Fig scent in this is beautiful and it’s so long-lasting on the skin and smells divine. It has that signature fresh Mediterranean Fig scent that I love but it has a slight sweetness to it too & I can smell it on my skin for hours. I use this after shaving my legs to keep them feeling as smooth and soft for as long as possible and during the winter I also like to use this on my knees and elbows as they always get very dry. I love that although this is an oil it never feels greasy or heavy on the skin.

Decléor Lip Balm Luxuriant Nourishing Lip Balm

You can’t go through Winter without having a lip balm strategically placed in your car, handbag on your desk and coat pocket. I always have one close at hand at all times. I have been using this Decléor one whilst I work at my desk and its helping combat the effects of central heating drying out my lips. This is one of the more luxurious lip balms I have used, it is enriched with marjoram essential oil, shea butter and macadamia oil which all help to hydrate, sooth and protect your lips.

Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask

I have spoken about this mask quite a few times and I’m still not over how much I love it, its fantastic at helping to remove dead skin to promote a healthy glow and during the Winter I can use all the help I can get combating dull skin. This mask has a cooling almost jelly-like texture which feels soothing on the skin and the combination of volcanic rock and AHA both gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells to revive and rejuvenate your complexion. I have been using this at least once a week for a couple of months and I notice the results. It’s a really good mask to use the evening before an event or special occasion as your skin will have that healthy glow then next day.
