I’d never heard of the brand A.K.A before & I love trying new things, so was thrilled when they asked if I wanted to try some makeup from their range. A.K.A are a UK based cosmetics brand that formed in 2011, the majority of their products are produced in the UK.
This nail polish in the shade Soft Mink* is a perfect winter shade. It’s not too dark but still on the dusky side, so looks pretty for daytime or if you’re going out in the evening. I think it would also make a great base colour to pair with a glitter topcoat (I love a bit of glitz).
I applied two coats and was surprised at how quickly each coat dried. Not only that, but I didn’t have to wait long at all and being as impatient as I am this is a good thing, as I always spoil my nails before they’ve had time to dry. The brush is quite thick and long which I like, the polish applied evenly too. I don’t own a colour like this, so it’s a really nice addition to my stash!
If I had to attempt to describe the colour I would say it’s a lilac toned brown, it has a pretty sheen to it but contains no glitter or shimmer. I am pleased with it and have worn it for a week solid. It lasted 4 days without chipping, then I touched it up (do you do that instead of reapplying).
You get 14ml of product for £5 so these A.K.A polishes are very affordable. There are 12 shades to chose from and they all look pretty. I can highly recommend Soft Mink.
Let me know if you have used any A.K.A polishes or anything else from their range.
Products that are marked with an * have either been sent to me for my consideration or I’ve received at events. I’m under no obligation to review them on my blog. However, if I do, the reviews are 100% my own.
