Tesco Beauty Haul

Tesco Beauty Purchases

Tesco kindly sent me a £25 gift card to spend on beauty products. My local Tesco is quite a big shop & they stock brands like Nip & Fab, Sleek, L’Oreal, Max Factor and more. If you’re lucky enough to live close to one of the Tesco’s that has a Beauty World then you will find a huge selection of affordable & luxury brands including favourites like, Korres, Dr Lewinn’s, SteamCream and L’Occitane. So Tesco are making these Beauty World Shops a real destination for beauty addicts.

Tesco Beauty Roses

Barbara Daly – This brand has recently had a revamp & they have re launched back into Tesco with a great collection of makeup. I was drawn to this lovely nude pink nail polish & think it will look beautiful on both my fingers & toes this Winter.

Rimmel Match Perfection in Soft Beige – Took me ages to decide on a shade, but I picked soft beige in the end & that seems to be a good match. I have only ever tried one other Rimmel Foundation, the Wake Me Up Foundation, and I like that, so thought I would try the Match Perfection. I don’t know anything about it & purchased it on a whim but after using it a couple of times, I like the medium coverage & it gives me a nice almost satin finish. So far so good.

Sleek au naturel Palette – This is my first ever sleek eyeshadow palette, I own many a blush but have never treated myself to one of their palettes. I just had to have the au naturel palette as I’m addicted to neutral eyeshadow, and it’s beautiful. It has 12 shadows, a mixture of 8 mattes and 4 shimmers.

L’Oreal Super Liner Ultra Precision in Black – Liquid liner is my go-to liner, I love how easy it is to apply & L’Oréal make my favourite liquid liners. I have had many over the years. This gold packaging sucked me right in & I popped it in my basket. It has a long fine nib that is flexible and easy to control so if you want to achieve a fine precise line you can & also if you want to build it up & have a bolder liner look you’re able to achieve both. Love how long wearing this liner is and also how intense and black it stays throughout the day. LOVE it.

Tesco Beauty Purchases

The last product I purchased was a Freeman Anti Stress Dead Sea Minerals Face Mask – this is for my Sunday evening pamper session. I’m hoping it will help unclog my pores and leave me with radiant skin. This is a brand I have never tried before so I will let you know how I get on with it.

*I bought these products with a Voucher sent to me by Tesco.

Barbara Daly Long Wear Eye Shadows

Cream eyeshadow sticks

I first read about these Barbara Daly Long Wear Eyeshadows on Describe The Sky & being a cream shadow addict, I had to pop to Tesco to get a couple. I bought the colours Shimmer Sand & Shell, both very safe neutral colours, but they’re the sort of shades I will get the most wear from. These were a bargain at £3 each, and I have been thrilled with the quality and colour pay off.

Barbara Daly Shadow Sticks

I own quite a few cream eyeshadow sticks from brands like Rimmel, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier and ELF these Barbara Daly ones are on a par with my Bobbi Brown one in terms of quality and how long they last. They’re fantastic quality at a fraction of the cost. I wear both colours I bought alone all over the lid. I apply the product directly to my eyelid and either blend out with my finger or a fluffy blending brush, either method works well. These blend very easily and after a couple of minutes they have dried enough that you won’t be able to blend them & they stay in place for HOURS! Much longer than my Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks

Shell // Shimmer Sand (facing the light)

Shimmer Sand – This is a very pretty peach/ nude tone with a hint of bronze and a metallic / frosty finish. This really brightens up the eye & helps you look wide awake and fresh. This is so pretty worn all over the lid and the pigmentation is intense & lasts all day long. You can put a primer on beforehand if you have oily lids or if you just want to make extra sure it’s not going to budge. These have a lovely rich creamy texture that as I said is very easy to blend. It’s not overly shimmery so can still be worn during the day, I would say it’s more metallic than shimmery – it’s not glittery at all. I’m seriously impressed with these for £3.

Shell – This is a light pink with a gorgeous yellow toned champagne colour which again is pretty all over the lid or as an inner corner highlight, this colour really adds brightness to the eye & opens it up. These long wear shadow sticks are incredible quality and the packaging is sleek and looks a lot more expensive than £3. They do start to crease a little on me after about 5 hours of wear, but I do have quite crinkly eyelids & I just blend it out with my finger & that does the trick.

If you have access to a larger Tesco that sells Barbara Daly then get yourself down there & grab a couple of these, you won’t be disappointed. I’m heading back to get the darker black shade as I think that will be so good for an easy smokey eye.
