August Empties 2013

I will be away in Scotland for the next 2 weeks and wanted to get this post written so I could throw away my bag of rubbish before I left. I used up more than I thought this month, although a couple of things are sample sized.

Empties August 2013

I was sad to finish quite a few things this month as I am trying so hard not to buy anything for a while. First up I used up two Sanex Deoderants, this is the only brand I use as its so gentle and just works. I also use some wipes I bought whilst in America and I only used them for my hands and to clean up any makeup miss haps. As wipes go they weren’t great, these were from Walgreens – Studio 35 Beauty Wipes.

I really liked using the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream I want to try a few more things from this brightening range. I found it was hydrating too and way a good base for my concealer. If you want a budget eye cream then check this one out. The Avon ANEW Clinical Eye Life this was a pot with two creams in one for above your eye and one for under the eye. I would say this was OK but I wasn’t crazy about the two creams. I kept forgetting which cream went where. I won’t repurchase. The Origins Make A Difference Skin Rejuvenating Treatment – I was SO sad when this finally ran out. I loved using it, it helped clear up some acne scaring I had on my chin. It is very hydrating and not greasy, I always recommend this cream to people. I would repurchase this and I’m sad I have none at the moment.

Simple Kind To Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Mist – when we had that heat wave back in July this face mist was a god send. I enjoyed using it and would re purchase it. Heathcote and Ivory Wild Daisy & Elderflower Shower Gel – This came in a gift set along with a few other body products & it wasn’t great. It was a little thick and hard to squeeze out in the shower with wet hands. I wouldn’t repurchase. Garnier Soothng Eye Makeup Remover – I’ve spoken about this a few times, it works well to remove mascara and is so soothing. I have backups of these so i will never be without it.

August Empties 2013

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – I loved using this in the evening to cleanse. I want the full size of this so badly. It is so easy to massage it in and your makeup just melts away. It left my skin looking healthy. Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash this is another cleanser that my skin reacted well to. It is quite soothing and gentle, I have a full size of this and I would repurchase this. Clarins Multi Active Night Youth Recovery Cream – This is quite a thick cream which I had to massage in for a while but I liked how my skin looked int he morning after using this. It made it look plump and bright. I would love to repurchase this.

Bare Minerals Active Cell Renewal Night Serum – This serum was so nice, it was quite watery and a little went a long way, I only had a sample size but I liked using this and it was nice during the hot nights to put a little moisture back in to my dehydrated skin. I would like to buy the full size so I can see if it really works. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – this worked the same at the Bare Minerals one & my skin loved them both. I really like using serums / oils on my skin as it feels like my skin just absorbs them so well. This made my skin look glowing and I have another sample to use up but I will buy the full size of this. It’s a miracle in a jar.

TRESemme Frizz Control Ultra Light – I can’t seem to find this anywhere and that makes me sad because I loved it. I used it everyday – smoothed into wet hair from mid length to the ends to stop those wispy fly away hairs. This tamed them and made my hair look smooth and silky. I hope I can track down a tube somewhere. This tube lasted me a good 4 months.

Empties

Aesop Primrose Facial Cleansing Masque – I used this when my skin had sore blemishes or when I was tired. It was great at calming and soothing. I have enjoyed every Aesop product I have ever used. Their skincare is amazing and worth every penny. I would re purchase this. Nivea Waterlily & Oil – a really refreshing and hydrating body wash these are such a bargain & very good.

SpaceNK Laughter Eau De Toilette – If I had to pick one perfume to wear for the rest of my life, this would be it. The smell always reminds me of happy memories and it smells so unusual. Its beautiful. I can’t wait to repurchase.

Phew – that was quite a lot. I did finish some amazing products this month. What have you used up that you enjoyed using & would recommend?
