Josh Rosebrook Oculus Eye Treatment

Oculus Eye Treatment

Josh Rosebrook’s vision is to give people the finest, natural, best skin and haircare imaginable. The Josh Rosebrook range is hand-crafted in small batches with the highest quality all-natural and organic botanical extracts. The products are supremely effective and pure, with a maximum of botanical extracts and active ingredients. No animal testing, parabens, sulfates, petro-chemicals. No synthetic ingredients, preservatives, colours, fillers, fragrances or GMOs

Josh Rosebrook Oculus Eye Treatment

Oculus* is the latest addition to the range & I have been testing it out. This is an oil based treatment which helps protect and regenerate the delicate skin around the eye. Unlike most eye creams this oil isn’t heavy or greasy (even though its an oil). I like to use this twice a day in the morning & evening, I keep mine in the fridge because it helps depuff and it feels cooling and refreshing.

‘This has been designed to properly nourish the delicate skin around your eyes, Josh Rosebrook has developed the Oculus Formula. An oil-based treatment, it uses an advanced, proprietary formula with an uncompromising level of pure and potent moisturising carrier oils and a complex of herbal infusions that work synergistically to protect, brighten, and regenerate your eyes.  A real treat for the eyes, massage the roller ball to soothe puffiness, reduce dark circles and minimise fine lines whilst firming, smoothing and brightening. Talk about powerful, we think this eye arsenal delivers real results to revive our flagging peepers.’

Josh Rosebrook Eye Roll On

This comes in a sleek glass bottle with a handy metal roller ball which makes applying it to the eye area really easy, I roll it around my orbital bone and then I pat it in. It leaves the area feeling soft and hydrated. The oil doesn’t sit on top of the skin but instead after a couple of minutes its absorbed leaving your skin silky smooth and gives and keeps the area hydrated all day, I found my concealer sat really well on top of this treatment oil and didn’t sink into my fine lines throughout the day.

This Oculus Treatment Oil has a very calming subtle botanical scent, and since I started using it its one of the skincare steps I really look forward to. I love using oils, not only on my face but on my body too but this Josh Rosebrook one has to be the most natural and effective oils I have ever used. After 3 weeks of using it twice a day I’ve started to see subtle changes, my eye area looks brighter & less puffy whilst my fine lines haven’t completely disappeared but they certainly looking less prominent. So I’m very happy & I’m looking forward to seeing the results after 3 months of using this twice a day.

INIKA Makeup Review

INIKA Organic Makeup

I’ve been trying a couple of products from INIKA this past month and wanted to let you know how I’m getting on.

INIKA have a selection of Vegan Mineral Eyeshadows £14.50 & you can pick from 22 shades. I have two more neutral colours, the first is Honeycomb* which is a soft matte nude cream shade & is the ideal colour to wear all over the lid to give you an even light base colour. Or if you wanted that no makeup, makeup look it would be a great subtle nude colour that gives your eyes that bright fresh look. You can’t really see it in the swatch below because it is quite a light colour but I think its one of those colours that isn’t a WOW shade but is great to have in your collection and you will get a lot of use from it.

Inika Eyeshadows

The other colour I have is Coco Motion* with is a very deep matte brown, its gorgeous through the crease & helps create a gorgeous neutral smokey eye. It’s so richly pigmented, I also found it easy to blend and the colour stayed vibrant on my lids all day without creasing.

These Mineral Eyeshadows are loose powder shadows (which can often be a pain) but packaged really well, the holes in the top where the powder comes out are quite small so you don’t end up with a mess when you unscrew the lid. Hardly any powder comes out unless you really tap it, so you’re not wasting product either.

Inika Mineral Eyeshadows

Inika Organic Makeup

I have also been using their Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation* £29.50 this is available in 4 shades & I have the lightest shade which is Cream & its a good match for me. The formula of this foundation is quite thick and creamy so you will need to take time to blend this into your skin and I found that it evened out my complexion and gave me a light to medium coverage with a dewy finish.

My skin looked healthy and fresh with a good amount of coverage (if you’re looking for a full coverage foundation this isn’t for you). I think this is a good base for the warmer months because even though the product felt quite thick it feels lightweight on the skin and still looks natural. Its certified organic and packed full of organic antioxidants, vitamins and minerals such as Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Rosehip. So it is nourishing, soothing and hydrating. It’s a foundation that keeps your skin looking flawless and also keeps it healthy too. So if you’re looking for a Foundation that is Organic, Vegan & will give you a healthy natural finish then this is one you should check out. Inika Liquid Foundation

The packaging for the Liquid Foundation is really nice, it comes in a sleek plastic black and gold tube and it has a handy pump, which is so easy to use and travel with. I think it looks really nice.

INIKA also have an offer on until the end of April & you can get a complimentary Light Reflect Highlighting Crème with every purchase of their Certified Organic Liquid Foundation. So if you’re thinking about trying it now is the time.

Let me know if you have tried anything from INIKA or have any other Vegan brands you’d recommend I try.

Lookfantastic Monthly Beauty Subscription Box

So inside the April box are a couple of brands I have heard of and tried before and a few that are completely new to me, which is the beauty of these boxes as you get introduced to products you might never have purchased before. I think the April box has a great mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, and they have included more of a lifestyle product in there too.

Inika Eyeliner Pencil

Inika Eye Pencil in Black Caviar – This is a jet black eyeliner, really pigmented and easy to apply, no tugging or patchy colour pay off. It’s the perfect creamy pencil to create a smokey eye with and has some great staying power. I love to wear black liner and I like how you can blend this one out for more of a softer look or really go to town and apply a bold feline flick. Inika is also Vegan and certified 100% Organic.

Forza Suppliments

Forza Multivitamins For Women – You get a 30-day supply of multivitamins. One tablet contains 13 different vitamins and minerals designed to meet the needs of women who are maintaining a low calorie diet. This is not meant to replace food or meals but help you achieve your daily requirement of vitamins. It contains zinc, vitamin K, C, B, D and Vitamin B12. I haven’t tried these as I am already taking vitamins and supplements, so will be passing these on to my sister-in-law.

Korres Shampoo

Korres Aloe & Soapwort Shampoo 50ml – I thought this was going to smell overpowering from the name, but I was completely wrong, it has a light fresh scent and is lovely in the morning. This shampoo left my hair feeling light and bouncy and very clean. It wasn’t stripping, and I didn’t use a conditioner after so I could see the full effects of the shampoo & I was surprised that my hair looked as glossy as it did. I am a very big fan of Korres makeup and skincare, so I was very excited to see this in the box. At 50ml it isn’t a full size but it’s a deluxe sample size and ideal for travel.

Balance Me Revitalising Hand & Body Wash

Balance Me Revitalising Hand & Body Wash 100ml – This smells incredible and zesty. It contains a blend of calming mandarin, cleansing grapefruit, balancing bergamot and rejuvenating sweet orange, as well as a hint of mint to give a beautifully refreshing scent to help soothe the mind throughout the day. I have been using it as a handwash, and it leaves my hands smooth, clean and feeling hydrated. You can smell the zesty fresh scent on your hands for ages after you use this & I love that!

CB12 Mouth Wash

CB12 Safe Breath Mouthwash 50ml – Now this might not be the most exciting product to find in your beauty box, but this does promise to give you 12 hours of fresh breath. This smells quite strong & minty and only having used it once I can’t say how effective it is, but my mouth felt clean and fresh. I do use a mouthwash every day but have never heard of this brand before. You get a cute 50ml sample in the box, it’s a good size for travel & that’s what I am going to save it for.

TIGI Bed Head Manipulator

TIGI Bed Head Manipulator – This is such a blast from the past for me as I used to use this years ago & loved it. I had shorter hair & this worked wonders at holding the style whist still letting your hair be flexible. I now have longer hair, so I have someone in mind that will love using this. You get 30g of product so it’s a good size and you need so little product. It smells so good, as do all TIGI products.

So what do you think of April’s box? I think it has an excellent mix of products & well worth the £15. I’m excited about the Inika eyeliner, Balance Me wash and the Korres shampoo. The vitamins would be great, but I’m already taking what I need, so those along with the TIGI haircare will be used by friends & I’m sure they will love them. The CB12 mouthwash isn’t jump up & down exciting but useful nonetheless.

If you get this box let me know if you received anything different as I know a couple of the products had alternatives.
