Radical Skincare

I have been trying out three samples of their products,

Youth Infusion Serum* £110 – This has a nice sweet scent and makes my skin feel so smooth seconds after applying it. Formulated with plant based stem cells and hyaluronic acid to repair the skin, the Radical Youth Infusion Serum is a dual-purpose serum that works to radically boost hydration levels in the skin. Also helping to firm sagging skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles

I have noticed the skin especially round my eyes and mouth is looking brighter and plumper. I suffer with terrible lines around my eyes and these appear reduced and thats after 4 weeks of use. I’m impressed with this serum. It is lightweight and cooling on the skin, it sinks in very quickly and leaves it feeling silky smooth. If you’re looking for a product which will help combat your fine lines then this is for you.

Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum* £125 – This is targeted at being the first line of defence in protecting your skin from free radicals which are known to prematurely age your skin. This serum is seriously the bees knees, it is light brown in colour although that doesn’t show up on your skin. I used this in the morning and the Youth Infusion Serum in the evening, as a duo they seem to be keeping my otherwise dull skin looking very healthy and dare I say glowing.

From the first time you use this serum your skin feels tighter, not in the dry feeling way but in a less saggy kind of way. It is fabulous and being almost 36 gravity is starting to work against me and I think this serum really works to help combat the signs of ageing. I have noticed a marked improvement with not only how my skin feels but how it looks.

  • Peptide ingredients increase of collagen
  • Creates an instant healthy glow
  • Berry bronze serum reflects the natural antioxidant power

Anti Ageing Restorative Moisture* £100 – This is a seriously lightweight silky moisturiser. If you suffer from oily skin then this is perfect for you. It feels like it melts away on your skin whilst leaving it very smooth and soft. It feels instantly hydrating and smooth to the touch. My foundation sat so well on top of this cream. I have been using this in the day time because it is so lightweight and multi functional, it helps increase hydration, fight free radicals, decrease wrinkle depth and combat dark spots. I have to say it has done all of those things and I don’t think I have ever had a moisturiser perform as well as this one.

This has helped even my skin tone in 4 weeks and helped my skin look radiant, hydrated and this means my wrinkles appear less visible. This makes me very happy.

Radical Skincare

I knew nothing about Radical Skincare before trying this sample set and wasn’t shocked to see it was a high end skincare brand. I do like to spend money on products that work. Like the Estee Lauder ANR Serum which was £70 and I enjoy using Aesop skincare too. So I do think Radical Skincare is worth every penny.

I might not be able to afford them all at once and would have to say the Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum would be the one I’d buy if I could only pick one product. It has been the one product that I think gave my skin the biggest change. Although I do think they work well together.

Being someone who has a dull complexion and is edging towards 40 at what feels like a great rate of knots, these three products were a pleasure to use and I saw visible results so I’m currently convincing my husband that I need to keep using them. I will be repurchasing at least two of them.

They Made The Cut

I thought I would share with you my favourite four products from the Latest in Beauty 2013 Advent Calendar*. I really liked most of the 25 products but these are the ones I have enjoyed the most so far.

Latest in Beauty Top Picks

Steamcream £12.95 – I’ve blogged about this product before (in a different tin). This is a wonderful multipurpose product. It can be used as a hand cream, body lotion or a moisturiser for your face. It is gentle and hydrating and can be used on any skin type. Its a beauty blogger favourite and I can see why. It is very good for travel, one product with many uses. If you haven’t tried it yet I recommend giving it a go. Its very hydrating and quite calming for your skin. A big plus for me is that its handmade in the UK and its 100% Vegan.

Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream £25.65 – I love their rosehip oil and was excited to see this in the calendar. It is quite a thick cream and is perfect for hydrating and soothing, you need only use a small amount as it is quite concentrated. This regenerates skin, helps it look glowing, smooth and nourished. Its a little pot of gold as far as I’m concerned. I wake up looking like a better version of me with bright fresh skin. Its wonderful.

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm For Lips £11 – Naughty name that makes my husband laugh and ask why I am using it on my lips & not my nips. Over the cold month of January this has kept my lips looking smooth and feeling soft. It is really good if you suffer from very dry lips as it’s a thick formula but not greasy and sinks in very quickly, it doesn’t just coat your lips it absorbs and hydrates. This can be used on dry skin, eczema and also good for addressing those dry cuticles. Its is fragrance free which I like.

Q The Fine Fragrance Body Spray – I’m not normally one for body sprays, they remind me of being a teenager & liberally spraying some hideous sickly sweet cheap body spray. Alas this is not like that at all, this body spray is grown up in scent and lovely to use to freshen up. I did spot these in Boots and will be buying a few more. The most surprising thing to me was finding out that it only costs £2.29 – utter bargain!

Spring is in the air

Today felt like the beginning of Spring, it was glorious sunshine but still with a crisp chill in the air. It feels ike forever since I felt the sunshine. I know that by next week it will more likely be gloomy again, but I thought I best start getting my legs Spring ready. They have been hidden away for months and are going to take a little TLC before I even dare get them out.

Spring Ready

Spring Ready

Greenland Coconut Milk & Lime Scrub* This is good at buffing off the dead skin and leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. Its scent is also fresh and perfect for Spring. The lime is zesty and the coconut reminds me of holiday.

Balance Me Rose Otto Body Balm* I use this on my legs after I have shaved, it keeps them from becoming dry and leaves them smooth. Its balm texture is lovely and rich if you warm it up between your hands it melts a little and is easier to massage in. This balm is really good under the Garnier Moisturising Lotion. This is a hefty pot and will last you ages!

Laura Mercier Body & Bath Creme Brulee Souffle – This smells so damn good, I never tire of its sweet scent. I tend to use this at night as its very think and rich. I find it a little to heavy for daytime. Its very luxurious and makes the perfect pampering treat. The jar is glass & looks pretty in the bathroom {very important}. I want to try the bath soak to go with this. I think they’d make the best duo

Garnier Moisturising Lotion – I must confess I have never fake tanned {shocker} but I do like to have a little colour on my legs so these gradual tanners are my thing. This one from Garnier is pretty good, you need to have used a scrub and I like to moisturise before hand too that way I get less streaks. You can build the colour up over a couple of days but don’t expect anything too dark. It gives a nice natural even sun kissed look and thats just what I need.

So I’m hoping that these 4 products help keep my legs looking their best and ready for the sunny weather.

If you have any good Gradual Tanner recommendations I’d love to hear them. How do you get you get Spring ready?
