A Few Topshop Favourites

I don’t own all that much from the Topshop beauty range, but what I have tried I’ve loved. I think their products are well priced, great quality and the packaging is always cute. I thought I would share with you a couple of my favourite Topshop products.

Topshop makeup

I have 3 Topshop nail polishes and I love each of these equally. The deep blue is AWOL, the glitter is called Razzmatazz and the pink nude is called Barefoot. These apply really well and two coats gives an opaque colour. The glitter is the perfect topcoat & adds that little bit of glitz to a meh polish. The bottles look cute with their spotty lids. If you have any recommendations for Topshop polishes, I would love to know.

Nail Polish Swatch

The other two products I really like from Topshop are the Sunbeam Highlighter & Cream Blush in Flush. I only have 3 cream blushes in my collection and this Topshop one is my favourite. It is a really pretty peachy pink and gives me a healthy touch of colour. I tend to apply this with my finger and blend it in.

The highlighter in Sunbeam comes in the cutest packaging, this thing is huge too! It is a baked gold highlighter that I always wear when I am going out. It is so very pretty. This thing is going to last me my whole life it is that big. I do wish it came with a mirror, that is my only negative point. The highlighter itself is not for the faint hearted, it gives quite the glow and has a good amount of shimmer in.

Topshop Sunbeam Highlighter

There is just something really satisfying about Topshop makeup, it makes me very happy. I love having it sat out on my dressing table. Do let me know if there are any products I mush try from their range.

Feeling Flushed

I had a look through my makeup collection and picked out some blushes / highlighters that will be perfect for summer. So here are my picks.

Summer Blush

MUA Shimmer Kisses Blush £3.00 for 7.3g – this blush quad is really pretty and can be used as a blush or a highlight. I tend to swirl my brush around and pick up all four colours. It’s a really soft pink and very easy to wear, it isn’t too dusty and I find it wears about 5 / 6 hours on me before the colour starts to fade. It has a slight shimmer to all the colours but nothing too over powering. This is also a great product to travel with as you can get alot of great blush shades from it and the packaging is quite slim and compact.

Me Me Me Shimmer Stack in Bronze £9.99 for 12g – This is very versatile and for £9.99 you get alot of product for your money. It comes with 5 shades from a cream, bronze, gold and a rose gold. They can be used individually and make lovely eyeshadows too. As a blush it gives the same look as Mac MSF in Soft and Gentle. It is very pretty and gives a lovely metallic shimmer, all shades are very pigmented. I’ve loved using this and would highly recommend it.

Topshop Highlighter in Sunbeam £10 for 6.5g – Wow this is a big highlighter and the packaging is so cute although it doesn’t have a mirror. It is a little bulky to travel with but I really like using it, mostly as a night-time highlight. On the top of the cheeks it leaves a very pretty sheen. It is gold and very pigmented so a word of warning, use with a light hand otherwise you will end up with far too much shimmer. This will last you forever so is very good value for money. I can’t see me ever finishing it.

Summer blush

e.l.f Baked Blush in Pinktastic £3.75 for 6g – I have some really fantastic e.l.f products in my collection and their baked blush & bronzers are some of my favourite. Amazing value for money and you get 6g of product. They are a little chalky but if you tap off the excess product you will be OK. This Pinktastic blush is a very subtle pink, I’d say it was more of a highlight than a blush but either way it gives your skin a healthy glow. I plan on taking this with me on holiday as its is quite small and compact.

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Rose $11.95 for 7g – This came in a beauty swap I did last year & I admit I wanted it solely for the packaging and the love heart detail looks so pretty. But all that aside it is the perfect touch of pink, great for summer. It isn’t the most pigmented product but it leaves you looking healthy and fresh-faced & not like you have overdone it. The down side to this is the packaging is a little clumpy and not great for travel but I love the blush.

Cute Blush for Summer

Benefit High Beam £19.50 for 13ml – I have both high beam & moon beam and love them both but if I had to pick just one then high beam would win. It is on the pricey side and I have seen a few people blog about great dupes but this 13ml bottle lasts forever. I have mixed it in to my foundation for a radiant all over glow (Only a drop needed) and it looks great on the cheek bone for a real beach look. I am a huge fan of this and wouldn’t be without it in my collection. It can make quite a subtle highlight if you dab it on lightly and when the light hits you just looks radiant and glowing. Very summery.

Avon 24k Golden Glamour Duo 8g – I can’t find this for sale online, I paid £6. I have spoken about this Avon blush and highlight duo on my blog quite a few times & if you want to see a swatch you can here. I love the blush part of this duo so much it’s quite a frosty pink and looks really pretty for day or night. The highlight shade is a creamy peach shade and just adds the right amount of glow to the tops of your cheeks. I often travel with this as it is two products in one & again you get 8g of product which will last you a long time. Pixiwoo have done a video using this blush here.

Mac MSF in Soft and Gentle £21.50 for 10g – I only bought this in December and so was massively late to the party. How I lived without this I will never know (bit dramatic). Pretty isn’t a good enough word to describe this but it just gives your face a fantastic glow. I need to be careful that I don’t apply too much around my outer eye / top of cheek area as it does gather in my fine lines ( I am 35 this year). I have used this non stop for 5 months and it looks like new, like I haven’t used it. This is one product where a little goes a long way. I love having it in my collection.

So they are my 8 cheek products for the summer. Looking at them now I seem to have an obsession with baked products, I do love them and how they look. Let me know If I have mentioned any of your favourites or if I have mentioned something you have never tried before.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Face it
I’ve accumulated a few concealers and liquid highlighters and I thought I’d quickly run through what I think of them.

Benefit high beam

This is a popular highlighter and I sometimes mix a small amount with my foundation for a glowing look. I do really like this and this small bottle lasts the longest time. I’ve heard about a couple of pretty good dupes so I’m going to pick up those to see how they stand up. I like having this in my collection as it is a versatile product and I like the dewy look. My skin is quite dull naturally & I like to make it brighter and healthier looking and Benefit high beam is perfect for that.

Bourjois Bio Detox Organic Concealer

I’ve two of these, one in light to medium &  the other in bronze to dark. I picked them up in the poundshop and the dark shade is a little too dark unless I am tanned (that’s not often). The light to medium shade is good for covering spots but not for under eye as it’s a little too dry and is hard to blend. I have dehydrated skin under my eyes and this just settles in my fine lines. I wouldn’t pay full price for it.

Garnier Caffeine Anti-dark Circles 2-in-1 Roll-on

I’ve spoken about this quite a bit on my blog  and have grown to really like it. It’s a short time fix & it’s not a concealer that lasts all day I use it when I’m just popping out for a couple of hours or I use a little bit before I put on my heavy-duty concealer. I like the feeling of the cold roller ball under my eyes. Its cooling and gives a little colour.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Every blogger owns this or has owned it I’m sure. I use the shade 2 light. I only use this on covering up blemishes and it lasts me for ages. It’s a complete bargain and recommend everyone try it.

Benefit Boi-ing industrial strength concealer

I use the shade 02 in this and have repurchased it on quite a few occasions  I love it for covering redness around my nose, chin and a little on my cheeks. It is very long wearing and if you warm it up in your fingers it’s easy to blend. I always have a pot of this in my collection.

e.l.f Radiance Enhancer

I was quite shocked at how good this is. With budget beauty brands you don’t expect too much. I use this as a highlighter down my nose and under my eyebrows. It’s a pretty highlighter and is so cheap £3.75. I use the shade colour spotlight

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer & Sheer Finish Pressed Powder

I have the shade Warm Beige & Pale Yellow. I have mixed feelings about this. If I take the time to put this on properly it looks good. But I need to power it as it doesn’t last well on me. But I often don’t want to spend 15 mins putting it on and can look a little heavy if not blended well. I would repurchase this.

YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch

I love this on my cheekbones and in the inner corner of my eyes. It’s a lovely highlighter and makes a difference to my dull looking skin. If you blend it well you don’t need much product. If you can find this discounted then I’d buy it. I never pay full price for it.

Bobbi Brown Corrector

I have the shade light to medium Bisque. Now this I do like. I have very dark under eyes, they’re just naturally dark and always have been so to have a product you can use to counter that is great & this works so well. It’s quite thick so need warming up & its easier to blend. Don’t be tempted to use too much just blend well and it will work wonders.

Do you use any of these products? Or do have any concealer or highlighter recommendations.

I Love Gold

Topshop Highlighter in Sunbeam

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been in to Topshop to swatch this Highlighter in Sunbeam. It’s so pretty and thought it was about time I bought it. I don’t own many highlighters and this is a really lovely gold toned one. I have a few liquid ones like the Benefit Highbeam & Moonbeam. They are both really nice but I needed a powder one and I’d always had my eye on this one.

Topshop Highlighter in Sunbeam

It comes in a pretty compact – the star pattern on the lid is so sweet. The white and black design is simple and just lovely. There is no mirror which is a little annoying but it’s not a deal breaker. The product itself is so pigmented and beautiful. It adds a lovely glow to face or body. It gives the top of your cheeks a beautiful highlighted effect –  the light just catches the gold and reflects off your cheekbones so your skin looks bright and healthy.

Topshop state that this can be used on face & body – which is perfect. This gold shimmer looks fab lightly dusted over your collar bones. Lightly is the key to this highlighter. As it’s so pigmented, product stays put and you really only need a small amount. Less is more. You get a lot of product for your money as 6.5g will cost you £10 this is available in Topshop stores and in their online store. I can see this lasting me a long time.

This has a really nice shimmer to it and as I said the gold colour is highly pigmented and is stunning on the tops of your cheeks. It has been my go to highlighter this month and I am pleased I finally gave in and bought it.

I’m really impressed with Topshops makeup range. I’ve picked up a few things now like their Cream Blush, Nail Polish, Lipsticks and this lovely Highlighter and I must say I love them all. What have you picked up from Topshop and what have you been enjoying?
