Beautiful BIBA Luggage

BIBA Vanity Case*

If you are into luxury luggage and like me have always wanted a swish vanity case for all your cosmetics then I think you are going to fall in love with this BIBA Vanity Case. BIBA are a luxe luggage brand that sell in House of Fraser, they have an extensive selection of beautiful suitcases and handbags. They’re also celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, so its safe to say they know a thing or two about travelling in style.

I’ve been trying out the stunning purple Vanity Case which is moulded with the iconic BIBA jacquard design on a beautiful high shine finish, with metallic gold detailing. Its incredible quality and although its lightweight (which is what you want when it comes to luggage) it feels very strong and durable so you know all your treasures are going to travel safely inside this. Its functional whilst looking stylish, of course.

Makeup Vanity Case from BIBA

The interior is divided thoughtfully with zipped, meshed and elasticated pockets to make this the perfect compact organiser. You get two very good sized compartments on each side, these are deep and allow you to pack the bulk of your toiletries in here, knowing they’re protected by the hard case. They zip closed so they are secure and  I managed to fit full sized toiletries inside with room to spare.

You also get a zipped mesh pouch which is ideal for items that you may need to reach for before you get to your destination. There is also handy elasticated pockets which you can slide in things like makeup brushes, sunglasses and hair tools. So you have lots of options and for someone that loves organising their makeup and skincare its perfect.

This case keeps everything organised and neat and because its a hard case it ensures you get to your destination with all your makeup / products intact. It has a few carry options, one being a sturdy detachable over the shoulder strap, the second is a great handle on the top and the third being the rear strap which allows for it to perch securely on top of your suitcase. I am heading to Amsterdam next week for a Birthday Celebration & I can’t wait to take this with me, I will be able to pack all my favourite cosmetics and not worry about them getting damaged.

It does come in other colour options but this high shine purple colour is beautiful and distinctive. Oh and you get a 5 year guarantee which is fantastic. If you’re quick this BIBA Vanity Case has £16 off in the SALE.

Nails Inc Wigmore Street

Nails Inc Wigmore Street

This beautiful Nails Inc Polish came free with the December issue of Glamour. For a bargain price of £2 you get a great magazine (I love to read Glamour) and a Nails Inc Polish which has an RRP of £11. There were four polishes to pick from & truth be told I wanted them all but I have far too many polishes as it is, so I decided on this deep purple called Wigmore Street.

Wigmore Street is a true deep true purple shade. It is opaque in 2 coats, I found it easy to apply but It did take a while to dry in between coats. The brush was quite thin but it applied the polish nicely.  As with all Nails Inc polishes this is great quality and had good staying power, I took it off my nails after 4 days and there were no signs of chipping. I think I could have got a week of wear from this polish.

The Heat is On

I was over the moon excited to be sent these gorgeous ghd’s from their Style Candy Collection* which was inspired by a retro sweet shop! I’m a faithful fan of ghd hair tools and have had my black ghd’s for over 6 years and have really enjoyed using them. They however are nothing compared to these cute colourful new swish professional stylers. Goodbye old black straighteners — HELLO new ghd IV violet candy collection straighteners.

ghd candy collection is available in three shades violet / lemon / mint  & retail for £110*

Of course I decided to try them out on possibly THE hottest day of the year. My hair was massive and unruly, perfect to really put them to the test. My hair is very much naturally wavy and often has a curl to it so I wanted to create a sleek and polished look. I tend to leave my hair to dry naturally and leave the natural wave. OK cue the before photo – no makeup / pj’s and unstyled hair (I look like I need to sleep for a week).

Before

Styling Products

These are the styling products I used. VO5 Miracle Concentrate – I love this and use it everytime I wash my hair. TRESemme Smooth Salon Sleek Straightening Spray with Argan Oil and the TRESemme Smooth Ultra Light Finishing Cream from the same line – I love both of these products and highly recommend them.

The ghd violet professional styler feels so light compared to my old black straighteners, so much sleeker and they have a rounded barrel that would be fab for creating a curl. I found that they glided down my hair with ease. I straighten my hair in small sections as its so thick it just gets an instant wave back if I do too much at a time. These were so easy to use and the curve edge was perfect to styling my fringe. They also heated up to their temperature very fast.

I was impressed by how straight they made my hair and how fast I managed to do it esp as my hair was so frizzy with the heat. The fact that these are violet makes them even more fab to use!

AfterThese are the after shots, I’m very impressed with my lovely violet ghd’s. I think they did a great job even if I did almost overheat in the process. Although I opted for a straight look you can achieve more adventurous styles with these and I’ve seen some bloggers do lovely curls and beach styles. I think I will try something a little more daring next time. When the weather is cooler.

What a cute colour and a great product they get two thumbs up from me. If you’ve used these and have created a fun  style let me know I would love to see it and get some inspiration.

Oh and as it takes me so long to straighten my hair I always drink tea and watch YouTube whilst I am doing it!
