Skinn Skincare on Ideal World TV

I have a new UK launch for you – American brand Skinn are coming to Ideal World TV, from Thursday 3rd March you will be able to get your hands on a wide range of their products. I know a lot of people have been waiting for Skinn to be available in the UK so now it going to be much easier to get hold of. This is my first time trying anything from this brand and from what I have read their products are quite popular around the world.

I’ve been sent three of their best selling products to try from the Collagenesis range and I’m excited to try them out over the coming weeks.

Skinn Cosmetics are dedicated to bringing the best quality products to their customers and focusing more on the contents of their products not on fancy packaging, adverts and paying for space in retail stores.

‘As an industry veteran, Dimitri learned that the majority of the money at the big cosmetics houses is not spent on the product. In fact, it seems to go everywhere but the product: ad campaigns, department store counter space, Park Avenue offices, and most of all, packaging. Believe it or not, most companies spend more money on the container and fancy boxes than on the formulations inside. Skinn on Ideal World

The Skinn Collagenesis range is specifically formulated to combat dry, dehydrated, thinning, crepey and wrinkled skin. Its labeled as their Anti Ageing line and is meant to help combat the early signs of aging.

Skinn Collagenesis Eye Stem Rejen Elite*

This comes with a pump which dispenses just the right amount of product for both eyes & the cream itself has quite a few great ingredients but in particular 3 active ingredients, Glacier Water, Snow Algae Powder and Alpine Rose. These will help smooth, hydrate and protect skin against environmental aggressors.

The serum is a soft pink shade, although the colour doesn’t translate into the skin. It feels very lightweight and cooling under the eye and leaves the area soft, smooth and hydrated. This does have an odd scent, I can’t put my finger on it, its not herbal or floral but I am pleased to say that the scent doesn’t linger too long and after 10 minutes or so it’s gone all together.

Skinn Collagenesis Stem Rejen Facial Serum Elite*

This also comes with a pump much like the eye serum and has the same 3 active ingredients, Glacier Water, Snow Algae Powder and Alpine Rose. The few times I have used it so far, it feels lightweight and leaves my skin soft. It feels quite a lot like the eye serum. I am looking forward to using this more and seeing how my skin looks.

Skinn Collagenesis 24 Hour Youth Preservation Cream Elite*

This moisturiser has a very rich, quite thick texture but once you massage it in to your skin it feels like it melts right in. It contains Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, which assists skin turnover & will help your complexion look radiant and rejuvenated. I have only had time to test this moisturiser once and it felt nice on my skin, not greasy or heavy but I can’t say if it works or not. We will see.

So a little while ago ZOEVA released their gorgeous Rose Golden Vol. 2 Brush Set & I’m excited to let you know that they’ve extended the collection by 30 single brushes. So you can now purchase these beautiful powder nude & rose golden design brushes individually & build up a substantial brush collection of your own.

ZOEVA is a brand that’s become so popular with both makeup addicts & MUA’s over the past couple of years, I have tried their makeup (which I love) but never their brushes. I only ever hear positive reviews of their collections and people saying they deliver on quality and design so to say I was excited to try out 3 brushes from the Rose Golden Vol. 2 Collection was an understatement and the brushes did not disappoint.

New Zoeva Rose Golden Brushes

ZOEVA 125 Stippling Brush Rose Golden Vol. 2 Edition* 

This is a duo fibre brush & its quite dense but so very soft. I like to use it to apply both my foundation and cream blush. Its great for both. For foundation its fab at making a little product go a long way – you just keep buffing away & it gives such a even flawless finish.

ZOEVA 227 Luxe Soft Definer Brush Rose Golden Vol. 2 Edition* 

This brush is the perfect size and shape for blending out your eyeshadow, its great for getting into the crease and creating that seamless transition between shades. Its so soft the bristles are quite long, its the perfect crease brush. It keeps it shape after washing and the bristles stay soft. I do wish this was Vegan though.

ZOEVA 232 Luxe Classic Shader Rose Golden Vol. 2 Edition* 

I use this brush to pack my colour on the lid, its a dense flat brush so its perfect for that. Again is very soft and picks up a good amount of product. I have used this brush a lot because I tend to wear one colour on the lid most days & this brush is good for applying one colour all over the lid. This brush is a natural-synthetic hair mix

Beautiful ZOEVA Makeup Brushes

ZOEVA Brushes are affordable & compared to brushes of similar quality like Mac & Bobbi Brown they are a lot more affordable. These are the nicest brushes I have tried and over the years I’ve tried brushes from so many brands. I’m looking forward to buying a few more for my collection. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that not all ZOEVA brushes are Vegan which is a shame.

New ZOEVA Makeup Brushes

These brushes are so beautiful to use. They look stunning and everything has been so well thought out. Everything from the soft nude pink handles to the rose gold detailing give these brushes a really luxurious feel and finish. They are super elegant but most importantly they are incredibly good quality makeup brushes, they don’t shed, they are easy to clean, the bristles are so very soft and they keep their shape.

ZOEVA have added 30 single brushes to this gorgeous Rose Golden Vol.2 Collection so thats quite a few to pick from.

Pixi Skincare Treats

I have used Pixi products for almost a decade and have watched them go from strength to strength. They’re a brand that always deliver not only wonderful makeup but their skincare is just as good. I am excited that Pixi is becoming easier to get hold of, gone are the days of having to call their London store for mail order (who remembers having to doing that?) You can now get hold of Pixi on HQ Hair and they carry a really good selection.

Pixi Glow Tonic*

This is such a cult product and was one of the first affordable, effective acid exfoliating toners. I have tried this and repurchased it on many an occasion. Glow Tonic is a toner which is so good for your complexion because it contains these great ingredients

  • 5% Glycolic Acid – Accelerates skin renewal and helps remove dulling skin dead
  • Aloe & Ginseng – Soothes skin
  • Witch Hazel – Will help firm and tone
  • Horse Chestnut – Boots blood flow for that radiant complexion

So this toner will remove dead skin leaving your complexion looking fresh and radiant whilst also soothing, firming and toning. This is quite the toner power house, I have already said how much I like this product in a few previous posts and I still feel the same. I usually use this in the evening and I think its also very good at helping to reduce scars and even out skin tone. This is a bargain and a bottle lasts me ages. Oh and if you’re worried about it being abrasive I’ve never had irritation after using it.

Pixi Glow Tonic and Cleansing Balm

Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm*

This is a luxurious feeling balm to oil cleanser and this type of balm cleanser has become really popular over the past couple of years. This is a gentle but effective way of removing your makeup and the grime that builds up on our skin throughout the day, it even removes stubborn eye makeup. You honestly need the tinniest amount of this, i’d say a 10p sized amount is perfect, make sure you take time to work this into your skin and really let the lovely ingredients work their magic,

  • Sweet Almond Oil – gently helps breakdown dirt and makeup and impurities so they don’t clog pores and cause skin to become dull.
  • Shea Butter – leaves skin soft, hydrated and feeling supple
  • Vitamin E – protects skin from environmental aggressors and helps reduce inflammation

You will need to remove this with a hot cloth, or the oil will leave a residue on your face. I love using a hot cloth cleanser, it means I remove all my makeup and my skin feels like I have had a mini facial. This Pixi Cleansing Balm really is nourishing on the skin and its great to see brands brining out such high quality skincare for affordable prices!

I have used the Glow Tonic for a few years now and think its a great product but if you made me pick my favourite I would recommend the Nourishing Cleansing Balm – there is nothing quite like removing your makeup and your skin feeling so clean and soft and this product was a complete pleasure to use. I Highly recommend adding it to your daily routine and a tub will last you months!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Restoring Body Lotion

After the success of their Ultimate Blends Haircare range, Garnier has released the new Ultimate Blends Body, which caters for targeted skin concerns. There are four blends to pick from, including

  • Marvellous Oils
  • Mythic Olive
  • Delicate Oat
  • Honey Treasures

I have been using two products from the Honey Treasures range, which is the range targeted at restoring very dry skin. So if your skin is suffering in this cold dry weather, and you want to get your legs Spring ready, then I think you will love the results of this blend. It is blended with what Garnier call 3 treasures from the Beehive, which are

  • Royal Jelly – A revitalising elixir renowned for its restoring properties
  • Propolis – A remarkable ingredient which acts as a protective barrier
  • Honey – A nourishing and smoothing nectar

Garnier Ultimate Blends Restoring Lotion Honey Treasures*

This comes with a pump, always handy when applying body lotion, and the texture is lovely and creamy. It feels rich and instantly smoothing on the skin. I like to use this one in the morning as out of the two it is more lightweight and leaves my skin smooth, soft and gives just enough hydration so it doesn’t feel greasy under my clothes. I hate that feeling.

Garnier Honey Treasures Body Lotions

This, as you would guess, has a much thicker texture than the lotion, so I like to use this at night when I have more time to let it sink in. If I put it on before bed, my skin feels supple, smooth and nourished. This is a great product if you suffer from dry skin, it’s extremely hydrating. It is a little more tacky on the skin than the lotion, but after it has been on for 10 minutes or so, it feels lovely.

Also, the scent of this range is rich, and I think smells quite like caramel. It’s lovely sweet, and I can smell it on myself for hours after applying it. I am a big fan of these new additions to the Garnier range, and they are helping me get my skin ready for the warmer months, Spring is on its way.
