Me Me Me Correct & Perfect

This comes in a pot with a concealer and in the bottom it has a setting powder. I wear the shade buff. It is my perfect winter shade as it is quite light. The concealer takes a little warming up so it is easier to blend. I tend not to wear this under my eyes as it is a little drying. It works better as a blemish concealer & its good at covering up redness at the side of my nose

MUA Pro Base Conceal & Brighten Kit in Porcelain Beige

Not the greatest concealers I have tried. They aren’t a great match for my skin tone. I like the middle lighter shade best. But I don’t reach for this often as the product doesn’t last very long, it seems to slide right off me. Might be because I have really oily skin.

Benefit Boi-ing industrial Strength Concealer

Love this, it is heavy duty, again I use it to cover up blemishes and a little scaring I have. I find it a little too heavy for my under eye area. It does work if I warm it up and blend it in, but It does tend to crease on me. It works really well to cover up redness and stays put all day long.

YSL Touche Eclat

Not a concealer but I do sometimes mix it in with a darker concealer to add a little luminosity and that gives my under eye area more of a radiant look. I have dark under eyes and sometimes I need a product that gives me a little glow.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Brightening Illuminating Concealer

Love this – it is that perfect combination of concealer and highlighter. I bought it whilst in America This is really hydrating, which I need and that means it doesn’t crease. It’s quite lightweight but still offers good coverage. It isn’t heavy duty coverage but if you’re looking for a light to medium coverage I recommend trying this.

Bobbi Brown Corrector

A must on those days you need to counter the darkness. Its peachy tone is great for that. I need to blend it so well as it creases on me too. You only need to use a little of this and as it warms up its lovely to blend. I have the shade light to medium beige.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit

I wouldn’t purchase this again. It has a concealer and a pressed powder, it doesn’t work well for me. I find it too creamy and can’t seem to use it without it ceasing and I find it quite greasy too. For the price it doesn’t work well for me. I have the shade warm beige.

Rimmel Wake Me up Concealer

Now this is my new concealer obsession. I use this under my eyes and it gives me really good coverage. It is just creamy enough to blend and it never looks cakey or heavy. It is a bargain. If you haven’t tired this you need to buy it.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer

This isn’t for me. I find it drying and it never looks natural on me. I know it is loved and that many people like it, but I prefer the Rimmel one.

Do you use any of these concealers? Or do you have a favourite that you would recommend to me.

Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin

I adore this perfume, my husband buys it for me every Christmas and it is my signature scent. Its beautiful  and smells very citrus. It is my perfume I save for weekends and special occasions. Jo Malone products make the most special gifts as they always come beautifully wrapped.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara

This give my lashes length and separates them too. It makes them look amazing and like I have really healthy long lashes. I have black and find the colour to be intense and a true deep black. I like the formula and how amazing it makes my lashes look

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Took me a while to actually get around to using this as I thought it was going to be similar to the Collection one that is raved about – that one doesn’t seem to work on me as I have very dehydrated under eye and it just settles in every fine line. I was surprised to discover this Rimmel one is creamy and blends really well. The colour also matches me better and I get good coverage. It’s a fantastic drugstore concealer. I have the shade Soft Beige.

Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum

This was a purchase totally inspired by Estee from Essie Button. If you’re looking for a product that gives your lashes that false lash look this is totally it. It’s a white primer that you apply before your regular foundation. It lengthens, separates and makes my lashes look so thick and long. It’s a miracle worker. I get lots of compliments when I wear it.

Origins Brighter By Nature High Potency Brightening Peel

These are a great way of exfoliating the skin and removing all dead skin, keep skin looking bright and radiant. They also help minimise blemish dark spots. I use them once a week after I’ve used a face mask and had a pamper session. They keep my skin soft and fresh and also keep my blemishes at bay.

Mac Minerlize Satin Finish Foundation SPF 15

I always forget I have this foundation, its my perfect winter shade NC25. I love the finish its a little dewy but doesn’t leave me looking greasy or shiny. It gives a light coverage which I like so it leaves your skin looking like skin 7 your freckles will show through. I have re discovered it and been enjoying is all over again. I think they have stopped making this – which is sad.

Pixi Lash Line Ink

For  a precise eyeliner look this is the bee’s knees. You can apply it so close to the upper lashes that it looks almost like you’re not wearing eyeliner. It is a felt tip nip and at first I found it tricky to use but now I have the hang of it I can achieve a really clean look. You can use it for a really pretty cat flick look. It’s very intense black and although it’s not waterproof it has really good staying power.

Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Rubenesque

This is a pretty burnt orange colour, It’s creamy and pigmented. I want to say that it has a slight frosty look to it. I often wear this all over the lid i love how effortless cream shadows are. I’ve worn it under a pretty gold shade from Inglot and it makes a really good base. I only own 2 Mac paintpots and out of the two this is by far my favourite.

HD Brow Palette in FOXY

This came in a Glossybox last year – I use the warm brown shade for my brows and really like the natural look it gives. I go over the top with my N07 brow gel & together they’re a good team. This palette is going to last me forever.

Mac In Extra Dimension Eye shadow in Sweet Heat

This shadow is so unbelievably pretty. Its one that can be worn wet too & that makes the colour so intense. It is a beautiful shimmery brown. It’s another product from my stash that I have re discovered & it deserves to be worn. Too pretty to sit in a draw.

elf nail polish

elf Nail Polsih – from the Glam Bam Set

This is a really pretty deep plum colour with gold shimmer running through. I didn’t expect this polish to last long on my nails but It didn’t chip until the 4th day of wearing it. It has a lovely sheen to it. It does come in a set of 3 but the other colours are nice too. They are quite nice Xmas Party colours.

Wow, I didn’t realise I had so many favourites this month and 3 of those being Mac, not a brand I buy from that often. Let me know if we share any of the same favourites.

I must confess that I don’t own masses of lip products, now if you asked me about eyeshadows / blushers / foundations I have a stash of those. My lipstick / gloss collection is in its infancy but from my 20 or so options I’ve been reaching for these 4 products a lot. I’m getting into wearing darker colours and loving plum shades and nudes. I can see my lipstick collection growing a lot in 2014.

The Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter is a really good hydrating lip balm with amazing colour pay off. It isn’t sticky or greasy on the lips. Its added a beautiful pinch of colour and I find that although it is a lip balm in texture the colour is quite long-lasting. The Wild Rose is a pretty red berry colour and perfect for daytime. I want to try a few more of these as I just love this one and think they’re great value for money.

EOS Organic Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm Sphere – I put this on my lips whilst I do my makeup and it hydrates them and is a good base to put my lipstick on top of and keeps my lips from drying out. These smell so good and are quite fun to have in your handbag.

Rimmel Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Galaxy – I have three of these Apocalips and this is my favourite shade. It’s a deep plum colour and is so pigmented and glossy on the lips. It’s so pretty for nights out and is easy to apply, but be careful you don’y apply to much. I tend to wipe most of the excess product off the applicator before applying it to my lips. A little goes a really long way with these. The other shade I like is Luna and this comes of as a peachy nude colour on me and It’s very wearable. It’s quite subtle and makes my lips look fresh and gives them a little colour. I highly recommend checking out these Apocalips, they have 13 shades to pick from.

UD De-Slick Setting Spray

UD De Slick

Since entering my 30’s my skin changed and is now oily combination, this was quite a shock as all through my 20’s i had normal skin, so combating the oily has become daily focus. I tend to use Rimmel Stay Matte powder but this would never last me all day with out needing to be re applied. I wanted something a little more heavy duty especially for a night out or a really long day.

Urban Decay de-slick setting spray

De Slick Info

So when I went along to the Urban Decay counter in August to hear all about their new Revolution Lipstick releases (which are beautiful), I got talking to the sales lady and she spoke very highly of this de – slick makeup setting spray which is targeted at oil control.  I needed no convincing and bought the full size bottle. I have been using it for well over a month now and can report that this spray is very very very very good! I used to think that my Mac Fix + kept my makeup on all day, what was I thinking?! This Urban Decay offering is the bees knees and really does keep my makeup in place and the oil at bay.

When using this spray my T Zone isn’t shiny, nor does my blush slip off after a few hours wear. I often spray a little on after moisturiser and before my foundation just for an added step / barrier for the oil them I spray a little over my finished face and voila I’m ready. I am no longer checking in the mirror every hour to see if my makeup is looking OK and I am confident that this spray does a great job. I really can’t tell you how much I love this product.

If you suffer from oily skin what do you use to keep it in check? Have you tried this Urban Decay de-slick Setting Spray?
