4 Products I have been Enjoying

Loving These

I have to start with the & Other Stories Fig Fiction Body Lotion, there isn’t a bad thing to say about this product not one. The lotion is creamy and hydrating, the scent is utterly amazing and the packaging is functional and I like the design too. This has a pump which is so handy and hygienic. The Fig scent really lasts well on the skin and I can not get enough of it. This is a 350ml bottle and costs £7. This is so deeply fragranced and keeps my skin feeling soft and smelly so damn good. I would use this forever, in fact I might just do that. I know they have other products in this Fig range & I’m going to buy them all.

Phil Smith Dry Clean Revitalising Dry Shampoo* I kept this pink number in my handbag and used it to freshen up my hair on the go. I have dark brown almost black hair and it doesn’t take much for it to start looking a little greasy. This although being quite a small can did a good job of giving my hair a little volume and keeping it clean. I was impressed.

Pixi Illuminating Tint and Conceal – This is a great two in one product. The Tinted Moisturiser gives a light glowing coverage and the concealer in the lid will give you a little added coverage to any redness or blemishes. I like to use this when I want to look fresh and not wear too much makeup. I have had this for a good year now and it is lasting me well.

Chapstick Mixstix Lemon Berry Sorbet, I bought this whilst in San Francisco and it is a double ended Chapstick with one end being a sweet lemon scent and the other a delicious berry scent. This smells so good and is a good at keeping my lips feeling hydrated. I wish I’d bought a couple more as they are fun. They say you could mix the flavours but I like to keep the lemon & berry separate.

Skin Care Treats

Estee Lauder

I’ve always wanted to try the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair £65 for 50ml but I could never bring myself to part with the cash. Since Caroline Hirons (Skincare Oracle) gave the new formula her seal of approval I knew I had to buy it. I owe it to my skin, right!? So I visited the Boots Counter and made my purchase (feeling a little guilty at the price tag). The lady on the Estee Lauder counter gave me a sample of the Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream & a mini mascara to try. I do love a free gift & look forward to using these.

The main difference with the new Night Repair formula is that it doesn’t have any mineral oil in so that’s good news. This product is meant to make your skin look glowing, give hydration and slow down the signs of ageing. Can’t wait to start using this. I’m expecting nothing short of a miracle.

Tommy Guns Hair Care

tghaircare

My hair is the longest it’s ever been in my 34 years on the planet. I struggle to keep it looking healthy and manageable. It is naturally wavy with a slight curl and gets greasy very easily. Tommy Guns is a brand I have heard of & I use their Winter Dew Drops. I adore the way this product gives my hair a beautiful glossy sheen. I have blogged about them here.

I’ve been testing out the above Shampoo and Conditioner* combo and I have to say the fact that they are a nice plum and pink colour makes me very happy. These smell quite masculine and not sickly sweet. I find them both uplifting and great for a morning shower. I also like the packaging, I think the simple design looks sleek, and they look great in my shower.

The Fig and Plum Shampoo is targeted for Frizzy & Unruly hair, this is my hair in a nutshell. This was lovely to massage in and didn’t lather up into a crazy foamy mess. I hate it when the shampoo is over foamy, it is also easy to wash out and requires minimal effort. It states that the Fig is to smooth and soften the hair and the Plum helps to enrich the hair, leaving it more manageable. I would have to agree with that, my hair is left sleek, and I have less flyaway strands, especially on the top where I tend to get major frizz. This shampoo did tame my frizz.

I also used the Conditioner from the same line, and together they make quite the pair. The conditioner is Fig, Plum and Marshmallow. How amazing does that sound! This smells lighter than the Shampoo but still fresh and quite Autumnal, must be the Fig. In this conditioner, the Marshmallow is used to soothe and enhance the hair’s elasticity and to help prevent breakage while the Fig & Plum help enrich the hair leaving it more manageable for styling.

Tommyguns Hair Care

When using these, I was able to go 3 days without washing my hair. My hair didn’t go greasy as quickly as it normally does, and I thought it looked glossy, while my curls had quite a bounce to them. These have been a pleasure to use, and my husband has also used them and liked the shampoo in particular.

They also have Pomegranate and Orange / Blueberry and Ginseng / Jasmine and Wild Nettle / Sage and Basil / Bergamont and Inula. I like the sound of Pomegranate and Orange, it sounds very festive. Tommyguns.

Both the Shampoo and Conditioner are £5.50 for 250ml

Nip & Fab Body Butter Bargain

Nip & Fab Mango Smoothie

I wanted to give you a quick heads up, there is a bargain to be had at Savers. If you have a Savers near you then brace yourself for a super bargain. They have all the Nip & Fab Body Butters in for £2.50 each. I had to restrict myself to one but I was over the moon beyond excited to see them in there.

I’ve tried the Pistachio one & that smells so good – see my post on that here. These are very hydrating and perfect for the colder months. So go stock up. Who am I kidding I am totally going back down to get more! No shame.

Let me know if you manage to get any. These normally retail at £8 so that is quite a saving. The range includes Pistachio Sundae, Mango Smoothie, Cherry Tarte and Coconut Latte.

I have heard on the grape-vine that these are being discontinued, such a shame as I adore them. So get them while you can.
