Shopping My Stash Week 2

So i did this a while ago, then forgot to carry it on. I’ve had a busy couple of months what with family stuff and planning a move. Nothing ever goes smoothly. So whilst packing up some of my makeup for the move i picked out a few items of makeup to wear and this is what i picked out.

I’ve had the Duwop lipgloss for a while as it came a while back in a Glossybox & never used it – it smells amazing tho. So I’m excited to use this at last. Also my bareMinerals READY blush doesn’t get enough love as its gorgeous and gives you such a healthy colour. My No7 mascara is a firm fave and love this so much, it makes my lashes look super long. I have a few mascaras on the go and i try and use them all in turn over a week.

MUA do the best low budget eyeshadows so I’m excited to get some smokey eye looks out of this trio. My Shu Uemrua pink eyeshadows are great for a subtle everyday eye. They are so creamy and such great quality, I dont know why i dont use these more (too many eyeshadows that prob why).

As for my YSL foundation, I love this and the coverage is amazing, it lasts all day on the skin. In fact I will go so far as to say that it looks better after about an hour I’m not sure what happens on your face with this but it looks better over time. Weird but true. I wanted to use this up before trying out their new YSL Touche Éclat Foundation – but when packing away my makeup for the move I discovered a backup of of this. Do I pretend i didn’t find it & buy the Touche Éclat Foundation anyway? I think yes.

I am hoping to carry this shopping my stash on after I move in 2 weeks, once  I’ve unpacked all my beauty bits. It will feel like Christmas.

Origins Skin Tone Correcting Serum

Origins Skincare Serum

Origins Brighter By Nature Skin Tone Correcting Serum – That’s a mouth full, isn’t it. I just want to say a few things about this, really. First off, I’m a lover of serums and have a fair few on the go at any one time as I really like the way they make my skin feel. My skin is often quite dry, and it just drinks up a serum. They sink in, and it feels like they’re doing all manner of great things (I hope they are too).

So this Origins one is quite amazing, it claims to be a skin tone correcting serum. My skin isn’t too bad in this department, but it did have some old marks (not scars) where I’d had a blemish or two, and it had left a dark mark on my skin and this little serum has helped over the past 4 weeks to even out the skin tone on those areas. It’s also great on dull skin too, I’ve been spending a lot of time in a yucky air-conditioned hospital over the past 6 months and my skin was looks so awful, just utterly dry and lacklustre. This serum along with the Origins Checks and Balances Cleanser which I blogged about here have really helped my skin and it’s looking more healthy and fresh. I feel like my old self.

This serum is really non-greasy and soaks into your skin, leaving it feeling smooth and hydrated. I highly recommend this if you need to put a little life back into your skin. I’d love to hear any other recommendations you have for Origins products.

Small MeMeMe Haul

I picked a few bits up from MeMeMe Cosmetics online. As I saw on Zoe’s Youtube that she liked the foundation so i picked that up to give it a go. Along with a few more things. I did pick up a few more things whilst i was on their site, well I am a product junkie – you cant just order one thing right?!

So i picked up these goodies –

I have to say that when my shimmer stack arrived broken I contacted MeMeMe and they couldn’t have been more helpful and swift to send out a replacement along with a free nail polish. I was really pleased with their customer service and chuffed to have another nail polish to try. So I highly recommend their online shop – they give great service.

So far I’ve only managed to try the nail polish, it a lovely formulation and has a large brush which I really like – so easy to apply nail polish with a big brush. Even I manage to have half decent looking nails using this polish. With my top coat I got 3 days out of this polish and no chips – I could’ve got a bit longer but I always change my polish up throughout the week. At the moment on their site you can get £1 off these polishes.

(Please excuse my unsightly cuticles – I need a mani so bad)

I will keep you posted on how i get on with the other items – I’m excited to try them all. Do you have any other recommendations from this line or have you tried anything from MeMeMe?

I will leave you with a pic of the Shimmer Stack, can’t wait to use this I’ve been looking for a great highlighter / bronzer for a while.

Your Skin Will Drink This Up

I recieved this Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum in my Glossybox. I have only tried one other product by them – the Beauty Elixir –> You can read the post here on that. So other than that i hadn’t tried anything else by them so was excited to see this in my Glossybox. Its described as,

‘is a highly hydrating serum, ideal for extremely dehydrated skin and is suitable for all skin types’

Oh my word, this is so hydrating! There’s nothing else to say other than its amazing. This sample size lasted me about 3 weeks and I was really sad when it ran out. It left my skin feeling so soft and fresh. It’s quite a runny consistency so be careful not to squeeze out too much product. You’ll only need a small amount. But once massaged in to your skin it soaks in so fast and you really do feel like its working right away, my skin felt so smooth and not tight at all.

My sample size was 10ml – the full size will cost you £26.10 for 30ml from Feel Unique. At the moment i can’t afford the full size and im gutted as this is a great product. I’m on the look out for a voucher to get me some discount so if you know of any PLEASE let me know because i need this in my life. It’s a great product for hydrating and calming your skin. I know i will defiantly be buying the full size of this (at some point). So if you can i recommend trying this.

Did you get it in your Glossybox? What did you think of it?
