After the festive period was done & dusted (feels like a lifetime ago now) and I settled into 2018 and back into more of my day-to-day routine with work and life (oh and stopped stuffing my face with all the treats) I knew my skin had taken the brunt of being over-indulgent. It was puffier and less radiant thanks to late nights, more alcohol than usual and all the sweet Xmas chocolate so I jumped at the chance to test out the Jurlique radiance renewal 28-day programme – what better time than January to kick-start my skincare routine and attempt to look after my skin a little better.

The kit comes in a pretty red box with gold touches, you get two tubes of cream which are clearly labelled Step 1 & Step 2 and very clear, concise instructions on how to use. So this two-step 28-day skincare programme is formulated to restore and rejuvenate your skin, you use step one for 2 weeks then follow with step two for the remaining 2 weeks. You use them within your skincare regime as your moisturiser step, I continued to use my other products, serum, toner, SPF but used only these as my moisturiser.

Jurlique Radiance Renewal 28 Day Programme is a two-step skin care kit formulated to work with the skin’s natural renewal cycle to restore radiance. Step 1 gently exfoliates to even and renew skin tone and texture, while step 2 smooths, protects and replenishes the skin for enhanced radiance.

Echinacea – This pure botanical extract from our Jurlique Farm in the hills of South Australia helps renew, soothe and restore your skin, and protect it from environmental aggressors.
Kakadu Plum – Just like in Step 1, this Vitamin C-rich extract of the powerful Australian superfruit helps renew skin luminosity and restore radiance.
Peach Leaf – This concentrated botanical extract helps rejuvenate and soften skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and discolouration, and restore radiance.

Both creams are of a similar consistency, I would say that step 1 is slightly thinner and more lightweight but they felt the same on my skin and left it feeling hydrated and very smooth. They’re both jam-packed with so many skin loving ingredients and I not only saw a visual difference in my skin but it also felt softer so much plumper.

This is quite an indulgent skin treat at £60, but if you have a big event like a wedding or a special holiday and you really want your skin to look glowing and fresh then this duo would be a great way to pamper and replenish your skin. I have tried two out of the three products and I love them. Modern Friction, Peace of Mind & Drink Up Lip Balm are new to me and I’m excited to try them out. An evening with Kiehl’s

Last night I was lucky enough to attend a Kiehl’s event at the Selfridges store in Manchester. I am loving that we’re seeing more events up North as it is so nice to connect with other bloggers and hear about brands and their products. The evening was focused around Kiehl’s latest skincare release which is called Skin Rescuer and it’s targeted at people whose skin has signs of stress and fatigue (I think we all may be in need of this).

We first heard from Paul who gave us a little insight into the history of the brand and some of their hero products. Quite a few of which I’ve tried & love. Then we heard from Jen about the new Skin Rescuer and she spoke with such passion and knowledge about the product that we were all won over (she had AMAzing skin). I’m excited to try it out and give you all my opinion, so watch this space for quite a few Kiehls reviews.

There is a lovely classic chemist feel to Kiehl’s stores and their brand began back in 1851 in New York City. They have never paid for advertising, all of their reputation comes from amazing service and word of mouth. I’ve always had first class service from the stores I’ve visited so it’s so surprising that they let their products speak for themselves. Oh, & have you met Mr Bones? he is legendary.

Their products range from Skincare – serums, moisturiser, lip balm to haircare, body care and even men’s products too. They have most bases covered. I am popping back in later this month without makeup on so I can have a proper skin consultation and learn what products my skin would benefit most from. Kiehl’s offer this in all of their stores so if you can take advantage of some free skincare advice. I will let you know how I get on. I already have my eye on one of their exfoliators.

The Skin Rescuer is a product that Kiehl’s have been working on for a while and it is for targeting the signs of stress on your skin. Stress that causes breakouts/inflammation, dull skin/fatigue and dryness. It has four key ingredients Rosa Gallica Extract – to limit the impact of stress on the skin. Mannose – a sugar that helps protect and maintain the skins barrier function & leave your skin less vulnerable. Chamomile Extract (the only one I’d heard of) helps soothe and comfort skin and the final ingredient is Squalane – this is to replenish and hydrate skin. It’s all very scientific. I am going to put it to the test on my dull, angry skin and see how it fairs. This retails for £29.50 for 75ml.

We were given lovely goody bags at the event and I am thrilled to be able to try all of these wonderful products.
