New P.S Love Primark Makeup

Primark Makeup Haul

Its been a pretty long time since my last review of the Primark Makeup range which is called P.S Love (click here for my previous review). They have added quite a few new products to the selection and I was overwhelmed by the choice so I tried to get a selection of different products. So many of the products had been opened & used which wasn’t cool so I had a hard time finding products that were still sealed. I haven’t had much time to play around with everything but I thought I would just initially show you what I bought & put up another post in a couple of weeks letting you know how well it lasted & if I would recommend anything.

PS Love Primark Makeup

PS Love Velvet Matte Lipstick Crayon £1.00

This lip crayon is such a perfect colour for me its in a lovely deep plum shade and it is very pigmented oh & its a matte finish. I wore it for an hour or so and it felt quite comfortable on my lips and the colour looked beautiful. It doesn’t seem to have a scent which is good as often the cheaper options have a waxy scent. I think the shade I bought is perfect for Winter and I am already planning to get a couple more of these, I’m sure I saw a red shade.

Primark Bronzer

PS Love Bronzer £2.50

This looks like a shimmer brick and I do like wearing this kind of bronzer because you get that soft colour from swirling your brush though all the shades and it also acts as a highlighter. It looks quite pretty in the pan and It doesn’t seem to have glitter in which is great news – just a pretty hint of iridescent shimmer. Although when I swatched this not all the colours were intensely pigmented but I am hoping it looks ok on and it might be more subtle which isn’t a bad thing.

PS Love High Coverage Concealer For Blemishes £1.50

This comes in a sweet little pot & they did have a few shades to pick from, I have the shade ghsdfgh and it feels very creamy and I was surprised at how good the coverage is. I haven’t tested it out for a whole day. I would have to powder over this because it is creamy and I have oily skin but I am excited to see how well this does after a proper day.

PS Love Lift & Curl Mascara £2.00

How cute is the purple packaging? Also the wand is quite similar to the Benefit Roller Lash. I always like testing mascaras that promise to keep a curl because I think thats quite a claim. The formula is quite wet & I don’t think it separates my lashes very well but we will see how well is wears throughout the day. I am hoping I don’t end up with mascara all down my face.

PS Love Liquid Concealer for Undereyes £1.00

This comes in the standard doe foot applicator which I like & find easy to apply under my eyes. It’s a very creamy consistency but not too thick. It was easy to blend out and didn’t look too heavy, I picked quite a light colour and it worked well for my skin. So far I really like this and was surprised at how good the coverage was. I only wore it for a couple of hours and it lasted well. Next time I will apply a little setting powder and see how it fairs over a whole day.

Primark Concealer Swatches

PS Love Eyeshadow Quad £2.50

The last eyeshadows I tried from Primark were not great but these colours looked really pretty so I thought I would give them a go. All four shades have a frosted finish. They look wearable and not overly sparkly but they are quite powdery. I like the both the more bronze shades they are 100% my kind of shades. I am not holding out much hope of them being great but we shall see.

PS Love Eyeshadow Quad

Off the bat I like the concealers and the lip crayon they seem to be good quality. I will have to properly test everything and I think use a primer with the eyeshadows. Let me know if you have tried anything from the Primark Makeup range and what you would recommend.

Relaxing at Christmas

Pre Christmas Pamper Evening

I think at some point during the festive period we all feel burnt out and a little overwhelmed by all the madness and chaos, its the perfect excuse to have a relaxing pre Christmas pamper session and Christmas Eve is the perfect time to do that.

A pamper session for me is all about using my favourite products and creating a relaxing space, even if its only for one stolen hour. Its amazing how great you can feel after taking some time for yourself. I always light candles (you can’t have a pamper session without candles) and put on some music, at the moment I’m listening to the Into The Wild soundtrack by Eddie Vedder its an album I associate with happy times so it always helps me feel calm.

Pre Christmas Pamper

What is your favourite Winter drink? This Whittards Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate* has been tried and tested by my friends and they highly recommend it. Its not Vegan so I can’t have it but I will be indulging in a Divine Hot Chocolate with lots of marshmallows in my all time favourite Mug from Anthropology. There is nothing more satisfying than using your favourite Mug. Its the little things that make me feel calm and relaxed and thats one of them!

A bath isn’t anything without a LUSH Bath Bomb and Cinders* is so festive and it smells incredible and festive. Also how beautiful is this Sanctuary gift tin, another brand I like and that is all about pampering and relaxing. In this Sanctuary Little Tin of Treats* you get a Cleansing Burst Body Wash, Green Lemon & Orange Blossom Body Wash, White Lily & Damask Body Wash and a beautiful Rose Body Polisher. So quite a selection, the Cleansing Burst is their signature scent and I just love it.

Face Masks are something I always forget to do or I end up running out of time but when I have a proper pamper session I love to put a face mask on an I have been using this Origins Original Skin Face Mask for the past few months its a 2 phase re texturising mask and it leaves my skin so smooth and soft. Its packed with lovely ingredients including Mediterranean Rose Clay and also has Canadian Willow Herb which are gentle and won’t irritate your skin.

My pamper evening products

Also with it being Christmas Eve I like to wash and style my hair so in the morning I just have to do very little to it and I can enjoy the day. I have unruly hair and if I leave it wet at night and go to sleep, I wake up with frizzy hair that won’t do what I want. So I like to blow dry my hair and straighten most of it but I also use my straighteners to add a effortless wave to the ends. It makes it look like I have styled it without being too put together. In the morning I normally re do a few of the waves and that takes no time at all. Not only are these BaByliss styling products a super cute colour but they did a great job at styling my hair and making it look Christmas Party ready –  BaByliss Straightener & Dryer Bundle

Let me know which of my posts has been your favourite this year!

Origins Ornament Christmas Bauble

Origins Ornament Christmas Bauble

Whilst in Debenhams buying Christmas gifts I just couldn’t resist treating myself to one of these super festive Origin Ornament Baubles. For the past couple of years I have wanted one but they always sell out so quickly and if I am not mistaken used to just be exclusive to Selfridges so this year I snapped one up early on so I wasn’t disappointed.

Origins Give and Give Back

When you purchase this limited edition bauble you also support Origins and Global ReLeaf 25th Anniversary with the “Give & Give Back” campaign & they will plant a tree on your behalf.

Origns Ornimental Festive bauble

For £12 you get 5 deluxe samples, a great selection of Origins skincare & a makeup item too. The bauble is cute too and you could easily reuse it each year and pop something inside.

  • Modern Friction™ Nature’s gentle dermabrasion
  • Original Skin™ Retexturing Mask with Rose Clay
  • Clear Improvement® Active charcoal mask to clear pores
  • Drink Up™ Hydrating lip balm in Plum Punch
  • Peace of Mind® On-the-spot relief

I have tried two out of the three products and I love them. Modern Friction, Peace of Mind & Drink Up Lip Balm are new to me and I’m excited to try them out. The lipbalm is in a gorgeous berry shade and smells minty. There is something fun about mini sized products & I am away in January for a couple of days so will be taking all of these away with me.

Origins Festive Bauble

All the Origins Christmas gift options this year are so nice and I bought a few as gifts but thought this was a good treat to myself without spending too much money. If you still have gifts to buy or want to treat yourself to a festive Origins set then you can find them in Debenhams, John Lewis and Boots so there is still time before Xmas to snap one up.
