I would say this gave me a good light to medium coverage, it isn’t shear and you could build it up if you wanted too. Even though its recommended to blend this in using your fingers I like to use a brush & think that really gave me an even coverage.

This does give a beautiful dewy finish to the skin, so I think it is the perfect Summer base as it feels incredibly lightweight on the skin & the SPF30 means your skin’s protected. I have to say I have been quite impressed with the formula, coverage and the wear time of this it seems to tick all the boxes.

Before makeup

When I wear it my skin looks radiant and that radiance lasts all day, I get about 7 – 8 hours wear from this. My skin looks plump and more awake & I think it’s because it has so many great hydrating ingredients, it also means this base sits really well on the skin and doesn’t sink into fine lines & pores but helps smooth them out. Being prone to an oily t zone I do like to powder lightly in that area, to ensure it stays in place without looking greasy, and it wears all day without oxidising or going patchy. This has quickly become a favourite of mine & I have even recommended it to friends & family of all ages.

Wearing the complexion rescue tinted moisturiser

The light was a little better for the after shots but I think you get the gist, you can still my freckles and natural complexion showing through but the Complexion Rescue does give a pretty natural dewy coverage to the skin. It doesn’t look heavy, it’s a great daytime base and I think its going to be a popular choice for the warmer months.

So if you’re on the look out for a base that will help your skin look radiant and dewy whilst giving you an even coverage then this bareMinerals Complexion Rescue needs to be added to your shopping list.

Shopping My Stash Week 2

So i did this a while ago, then forgot to carry it on. I’ve had a busy couple of months what with family stuff and planning a move. Nothing ever goes smoothly. So whilst packing up some of my makeup for the move i picked out a few items of makeup to wear and this is what i picked out.

I’ve had the Duwop lipgloss for a while as it came a while back in a Glossybox & never used it – it smells amazing tho. So I’m excited to use this at last. Also my bareMinerals READY blush doesn’t get enough love as its gorgeous and gives you such a healthy colour. My No7 mascara is a firm fave and love this so much, it makes my lashes look super long. I have a few mascaras on the go and i try and use them all in turn over a week.

MUA do the best low budget eyeshadows so I’m excited to get some smokey eye looks out of this trio. My Shu Uemrua pink eyeshadows are great for a subtle everyday eye. They are so creamy and such great quality, I dont know why i dont use these more (too many eyeshadows that prob why).

As for my YSL foundation, I love this and the coverage is amazing, it lasts all day on the skin. In fact I will go so far as to say that it looks better after about an hour I’m not sure what happens on your face with this but it looks better over time. Weird but true. I wanted to use this up before trying out their new YSL Touche Éclat Foundation – but when packing away my makeup for the move I discovered a backup of of this. Do I pretend i didn’t find it & buy the Touche Éclat Foundation anyway? I think yes.

I am hoping to carry this shopping my stash on after I move in 2 weeks, once  I’ve unpacked all my beauty bits. It will feel like Christmas.

bareMinerals READY Blush in Aphrodisiac

So before I purchased my NARS Deep Throat Blush from SpaceNK I popped in to the  Bare Escentuals store in Covent Garden and had a wee look at their new pressed eyeshadows. I really liked them but talked myself out of buying any due to the fact i have so many new eyeshadows to try. But i did leave the store with two purchases. The first being a super sweet Buxom Plumping Lip Gloss in the color bambi (can’t seem to find this colour on their website). Which isn’t like me at all I am not a pure pink lip gloss kinda gal. But the MUA in their had this shade on and it looked so fresh and sweet so i was won over. The other purchase was one of their new Bare Minerals READY blushes in the colour The Aphrodisiac.

This blush is a really perfect shade for a subtle hint of colour. Just enough for a flushed look. The formula of these blushes seem quite soft and creamy and is SO much easier to work with compared to their Mineral range. I’m too clumsy and heavy handed to deal with mineral anything i get it everywhere and is so hard to travel with. You end up in such a mess with product everywhere.

The packaging is not unlike NARS with the velvet esk feel to the compact case. Although inside you get a little more product. You do get 6g of Blush for £22 which i think is OK for a special purchase. I do not by any means spend this much often on anything but a foundation. I am super happy with my choice of colour and find it to be a sweet coral peach colour with a hint – not a lot of shimmer. It looks a lot more shimmery in the pan. So do not be put off.  The colour is build-able and you can make it quite an intense peach colour if you wanted a more dramatic look. I have’t used the brush it comes with & tend not too. I am so going to go back and add a few other colours to my collection. They claim the mineral colour will last up to eight hours – quite a claim. I will put it to the test.

bareMinerals READY Blush in The Aphrodisiac

The lip gloss i am yet to photograph or really test. I have worn it a few times and the colour pay off is fantastic and makes my lips tingle but can’t say for sure yet if it is plumping. I will review that in a few weeks. Do you own any Bare Minerals products? I am quite interested in their skincare. I just wish there was a shop near by that sold it. :o(

bareMinerals READY Blush in The Aphrodisiac

I like to think the products I use are good for my skin but often you just don’t know. With bareMinerals they have quite a good policy on good skin care and the ingredients they include in their products. Makes me want to learn more and add more to my collection.
