Elemis Biotec Skin Energising Skincare

Elemis Biotec Skincare

Elemis Biotec Skincare

The Elemis Biotec range is focused on combating depleted cell energy which is often the result of lifestyle, environment, diet and stress which takes its toll on our skin. It makes our skin look dull, dehydrated, less firm and fatigued & these three products help to reboot our skins performance.

Biotec Skin Energising Day Cream £75

Both the day & night cream are bi phase and are packed with so many amazing ingredients to improve skin function, help your skin look radiant, protect it and encourage cell turnover and function. The white part has a creamy texture whilst the green part is a gel, two pumps massaged into your skin is all you need to deliver a boost of ingredients to help improve your skin’s performance,

Intensely moisturise skin with the BIOTEC Skin Energising Day Cream from Elemis. Specially formulated with an energising trio of acids, including Succinic, Lactic and Ferulic to hydrate and nourish skin, revealing a smoother, replenished complexion. With the brand’s Bio-Energy™ Complex of encapsulated Zinc and Copper, the lightweight moisturiser increases cell energy, whilst working to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin Energising Night Cream* £85

This is much like the day cream in texture and feels similar on the skin, it contains much the same cell boosting ingredients and is also a bi-phase formula. It contains these incredible ingredients for your skin:-

‘Intensely hydrate the skin whilst you sleep with the BIOTEC Skin Energising Night Cream from Elemis. Specially formulated with an energising trio of acids, including Succinic, Lactic and Ferulic to deeply nourish skin, revealing a smoother, replenished complexion. Powered by the brand’s Bio-Energy™ Complex of encapsulated Zinc and Copper, the lightweight moisturiser increases cell energy, whilst Calcium PCA and Sunflower help to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.’

New Elemis Biotec Skincare

I’ve been using the day & night creams for about 3 weeks now, I do think they have helped give my skin a lovely boost of hydration and radiance. I thought the formula was rich, creamy and made my skin feel incredible, instantly smooth and hydrated. It feels like they’re giving my skin a shot of nourishment, I would say that I saw instant results and also over the past few weeks I think my skin is looking less red, not so dull and a little more refreshed. They leave skin feeling silky smooth and very soft.

The day cream feels lovely under makeup and my skin felt really moisturised throughout the day. The night cream is my favourite because its rich formula just seems to work a little magic overnight and I wake up with lovely refreshed skin.

The price point is more on the luxury side so if I had to recommend just one of them it would have to be the night cream over the day cream because I feel that overnight we get the most out of our skincare and we don’t pile makeup on top or SPF so I think the product is able to work a little better whilst we rest and I always see better results in the morning.

Biotec Skin Energising Day Cream

Elemis Biotec Skin Energising Cleanser* £39.50

This is a gel cleanser which you massage in with warm water and remove with a warm damp cloth, It did leave my skin very clean but I just wasn’t as impressed with the cleanser. I liked using it more in the morning because it felt energising on my skin but I felt like my skin didn’t feel very hydrated. Elemis say that:-

This step kick-starts the BIOTEC system, preparing the skin for optimum performance, creating a dynamic environment to activate the BIOTEC day and night moisturisers.

But I’m not 100% convinced. I will continue to use it a couple of times a week and see if I grow to like it. I have read quite a few glowing reviews so maybe I am writing it off a little too soon. I might try it as a first cleanse and follow it with more of a cream based product. It’s all trial & error I guess. The cleanser also contains some great ingredients for your skin:-

‘Specially formulated with an energising trio of acids, including Succinic, Lactic and Ferulic to reduces excess oil and rebalance skin, revealing a refreshed, revitalised complexion’

Elemis Biotec Skin Energising Cleanser

All in all I think these products are exciting and skincare seems to be getting more scientific by the day. Lots of advancements mean our products have a more impressive and potent list of ingredients which is deliver just what our skin needs. I’m excited to continue to use the Elemis Biotec Skincare System and I hope to see continuing results.

If you do want to try these but feel the price tag of the full sized products is just too much for you to commit to, Elemis do a great discovery version which includes a mini version of all three products for £35.00. This is a great way to try them all and see how they work for you.

Skinn Skincare Launching in the UK

Skinn Skincare

Skinn Skincare on Ideal World TV

I have a new UK launch for you – American brand Skinn are coming to Ideal World TV, from Thursday 3rd March you will be able to get your hands on a wide range of their products. I know a lot of people have been waiting for Skinn to be available in the UK so now it going to be much easier to get hold of. This is my first time trying anything from this brand and from what I have read their products are quite popular around the world.

I’ve been sent three of their best selling products to try from the Collagenesis range and I’m excited to try them out over the coming weeks.

Skinn Cosmetics are dedicated to bringing the best quality products to their customers and focusing more on the contents of their products not on fancy packaging, adverts and paying for space in retail stores.

‘As an industry veteran, Dimitri learned that the majority of the money at the big cosmetics houses is not spent on the product. In fact, it seems to go everywhere but the product: ad campaigns, department store counter space, Park Avenue offices, and most of all, packaging. Believe it or not, most companies spend more money on the container and fancy boxes than on the formulations inside. At Skinn, we focus on what goes into the jar and how it will make you look, not how the jar looks.’

Skinn on Ideal World

The Skinn Collagenesis range is specifically formulated to combat dry, dehydrated, thinning, crepey and wrinkled skin. Its labeled as their Anti Ageing line and is meant to help combat the early signs of aging.

Skinn Collagenesis Eye Stem Rejen Elite*

This comes with a pump which dispenses just the right amount of product for both eyes & the cream itself has quite a few great ingredients but in particular 3 active ingredients, Glacier Water, Snow Algae Powder and Alpine Rose. These will help smooth, hydrate and protect skin against environmental aggressors.

The serum is a soft pink shade, although the colour doesn’t translate into the skin. It feels very lightweight and cooling under the eye and leaves the area soft, smooth and hydrated. This does have an odd scent, I can’t put my finger on it, its not herbal or floral but I am pleased to say that the scent doesn’t linger too long and after 10 minutes or so it’s gone all together.

Skinn Collagenesis Stem Rejen Facial Serum Elite*

This also comes with a pump much like the eye serum and has the same 3 active ingredients, Glacier Water, Snow Algae Powder and Alpine Rose. The few times I have used it so far, it feels lightweight and leaves my skin soft. It feels quite a lot like the eye serum. I am looking forward to using this more and seeing how my skin looks.

Skinn Collagenesis Skincare

Skinn Collagenesis 24 Hour Youth Preservation Cream Elite*

This moisturiser has a very rich, quite thick texture but once you massage it in to your skin it feels like it melts right in. It contains Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, which assists skin turnover & will help your complexion look radiant and rejuvenated. I have only had time to test this moisturiser once and it felt nice on my skin, not greasy or heavy but I can’t say if it works or not. We will see.

Skinn Skincare Collagenesis Range

Eye Serum / Face Serum / Moisturiser

I will update you in a month or so as to how I get on with this trio of products from Skinn. I just wanted to pop up a quick post to let you know they’re launching in the UK tomorrow.

5 Current Skincare Favourites

Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean Deep Cleansing Milk £8.00

I took this with me on my recent trip to Scotland & I used it every evening to cleanse off my makeup. It is a very gentle creamy cleanser that doesn’t dry out or strip your skin. It’s not amazing at removing eye makeup but I do tend to remove that with a micellar water first then just make sure its all off with the cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean and after 3 weeks of daily use my skin is looking bright and it hasn’t broken me out. This cleanser smells incredible and sweet and I have been surprised at how much I have liked using it as I tend to use a cleansing oil but this has been a nice alternative. It’s also so handy having the pump dispenser & this is the larger 200ml bottle so will last forever.

Balance Me Radiance Mask £18.00

I like to use this mask in the morning (when I have time). It has a thick creamy consistency with fine exfoliating walnut shells which you smooth over the skin & leave it to work its magic. You then massage it off lightly letting the fine walnut shells exfoliate your skin, to reveal smooth, hydrated & radiant skin. I promise your skin will feel so smooth after using this. Balance Me say you can use this product in two ways – if you’re in a rush then you can use it as a face wash or if you have time on your side you sit back, relax and use it as a treatment mask. I do like a multi-purpose product. This product removes dead skin, replenishes lost moisture and soothes & smooths your skin. I love it!

Vichy Idealia Eye Cream* 23.00

This is the perfect eye cream if your skin is dehydrated & fatigued but the first thing I have to talk about is the really cool applicator, It’s a silicone spatula & the product comes out of a little hole in the centre. It makes applying the eye cream very hygienic and really easy. This cream has quite a thick creamy consistency, so if you’re looking for a really nourishing hydrating eye cream then this is for you. It does take a couple of minutes to absorb but once it has you’re left with smooth, hydrated and brighter looking skin. This cream helps reduce the signs of fatigue as it contains caffeine & is enriched with instant illuminators and a combination of DRM-Bright complex and vitaminB3. I think it has helped reduce puffiness and dark circles too. It wears well under concealer & foundation, although the formula is on the heavy side it isn’t greasy. I really like this as part of my morning routine & have used hardly any product even though I have been using it for a couple of months. If you’re on the hunt for a new eye cream give this a go!

ESPA Naturally Radiant Gradual Tan*

This is a brand new product from ESPA & a great addition to their range. It is a lightweight nourishing formula that is no fuss or mess, you simply apply it like a body lotion and leave it to work its magic. It gives your skin a gorgeous natural glow which develops over four hours and intensifies each day. The formula has a combination of Shea Butter, Coconut and Sweet Almond Oil which leave the skin feeling deeply hydrated and soft whilst Jasmine, Rosewood and Ylang Ylang essential oils leave your skin subtlety scented. I can 100% say this smells incredible.

La Roche Posay Micellar Water

This is a great gentle but effective micellar water. I use it to remove my eye makeup before cleansing & it even removes my Benefit Roller Lash, which is very stubborn. It has a very light scent to it but nothing overpowering and it never stings or irritates my eyes. So if you’re in the market for a new micellar water then this is a great option & now that it is stocked in many Boots stores it’s so easy to get hold of.

What skincare have you been enjoying lately & have I mentioned any of your favourites?

Josh Rosebrook Oculus Eye Treatment

Oculus* is the latest addition to the range & I have been testing it out. This is an oil based treatment which helps protect and regenerate the delicate skin around the eye. Unlike most eye creams this oil isn’t heavy or greasy (even though its an oil). I like to use this twice a day in the morning & evening, I keep mine in the fridge because it helps depuff and it feels cooling and refreshing.

‘This has been designed to properly nourish the delicate skin around your eyes, Josh Rosebrook has developed the Oculus Formula. An oil-based treatment, it uses an advanced, proprietary formula with an uncompromising level of pure and potent moisturising carrier oils and a complex of herbal infusions that work synergistically to protect, brighten, and regenerate your eyes.  A real treat for the eyes, massage the roller ball to soothe puffiness, reduce dark circles and minimise fine lines whilst firming, smoothing and brightening. Talk about powerful, we think this eye arsenal delivers real results to revive our flagging peepers.’

Josh Rosebrook Eye Roll On

This comes in a sleek glass bottle with a handy metal roller ball which makes applying it to the eye area really easy, I roll it around my orbital bone and then I pat it in. It leaves the area feeling soft and hydrated. The oil doesn’t sit on top of the skin but instead after a couple of minutes its absorbed leaving your skin silky smooth and gives and keeps the area hydrated all day, I found my concealer sat really well on top of this treatment oil and didn’t sink into my fine lines throughout the day.

This Oculus Treatment Oil has a very calming subtle botanical scent, and since I started using it its one of the skincare steps I really look forward to. I love using oils, not only on my face but on my body too but this Josh Rosebrook one has to be the most natural and effective oils I have ever used. After 3 weeks of using it twice a day I’ve started to see subtle changes, my eye area looks brighter & less puffy whilst my fine lines haven’t completely disappeared but they certainly looking less prominent. So I’m very happy & I’m looking forward to seeing the results after 3 months of using this twice a day.
