Merumaya skincare is one of the most effective and affordable brands I have tried and I wish them a very happy 5th birthday.
Over the past 15 years as my skin has changed, aged and matured, Origins skincare have really been a consistent part of my skincare journey. At some point along the way I have used almost all of their options, some I have moved on from but there are still a few which I have never stopped loving, like their Mega Mushroom Range & also the very popular GinZing Range. They have such a fantastic range of skincare which caters to a spectrum of skin concerns and ages too.
I have been using this Three Point Harmony Cream (the three-point refers to Renewal, Repair and Radiance) for a whole year now & its a really great option for me, now I’m almost in my 40’s, as I said my skin has changed so much and I find I’m reaching for skincare which is more nourishing and keeps my skin hydrated which in turn stops my fine lines looking so prominent. This has been a very good moisturiser for making my skin look its best, not younger or less old but radiant and refreshed.
This does have a rich, thick consistency but once you massage it in, it feels luxurious and your skin is so moisturised, without leaving behind any greasy residue. It leaves the skin feeling very smooth, supple and instantly radiant. Post application you do notice an instant smoothness and the scent is beautifully sweet & uplifting.
This cream has some really lovely skin beneficial ingredients, specifically to pep up your skin and help it look more rejuvenated and glowing.
‘This intensely rich cream with Tazetta Lily Bulbs, White Myrtle and Japanese Knot Weed helps produce youthful supplies of natural collagen to help visibly repair skin’s structure. Fine lines and wrinkles are softened. With deeply nourishing plant butters plus Vitamin E, this luscious cream renews skin’s hydration levels. With Scutellaria, it helps reveal radiance, refine tone and brighten skin to impart a healthy, vibrant glow.’
This cream tackles those skin concerns which become more prominent as our skin matures and its exciting that Origins have extended their range to cater for more mature skin types. I am hoping they add a toner and a face mask to this range in the near future.
I am very much enjoying this cream but I’ve only got a tiny amount left so I have been saving to get a new pot, as I don’t think I can be without it in my routine. Its made such a difference to my dry, dull complexion that I am willing to spend the £60 on a new jar.
Speaking of the jar, this Origins cream comes exquisitely packaged in a luxurious weighty glass jar with a lightly coloured faux wooden lid. It looks pretty, understated and luxurious.
I have heard so many positive reviews about the Serum from this Three Part Harmony Collection that I am very tempted to also purchase that too. If you have tried this range let me know your thoughts & if I should get the Serum too.
Gallinée’s first range, LA CULTURE has grown in popularity since it was first launched earlier this year. This brand was the brain child of Marie Drago, a French Doctor in Pharmacy and a member of the French Society of Cosmetic Science, with over 15 years’ experience working for successful and innovative skincare brands.
Gallinée is skincare that is designed to work in harmony with our skins own microbiome (the name for all good bacteria and microorganisms that live on and in your body), I like to say this brand is where Science Meets Skincare. With their patented complex of prebiotics, probiotics and lactic acid your skin is in very good hands, (see graphic below).
The La Culture range is bursting with active ingredients at levels where they really make a difference. At the centre of their skincare is their patented Triple Biotec Complex and
TRIPLE BIOTIC COMPLEX: A high concentration of our patented mix of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics helps to support your microbiome in the most gentle and effective way possible.
I have been using two products from the lovely La Culture range the Hand Cream is my favourite out of the two simply because even within 6 weeks I have noticed a real change in how my hands feel and look. This isn’t a cream targeted at making your hands look younger but they will feel nourished, softer, more supple, hydrated and visibly smoother. I apply this morning, noon and night, I always have it close by and like how instantly its absorbed but also leaves my hands with that soft nourished feeling.
This cream also protects against external, environmental aggressors and contains these skin loving ingredients
DAISY EXTRACT: A powerful active used for its brightening properties, daisy extract also helps prevent the onset of dark spots.
SHEA BUTTER: A hydrating and protective natural ingredient that can also help with micro-circulation.
Its a wonderful lightweight hand cream that never feels greasy or that needs reapplying too often. IIt’svery affordable too, make sure you make a note to check it out if you’re on the look out for a new handcream.
I have also been enjoying using the Hydrating Face Cream which leaves my skin smooth and hydrated. This as with all the products in this collection contains the Triple Biotec Complex (see graphic above), as well as these skin loving ingredients.
YACON EXTRACT: A root hailing from the same family as Jerusalem artichokes, yacon contains one of the largest amounts of prebiotics found in natural plants. In Central America it is often used as a natural sugar. Gallinée’s yacon is cold-pressed to retain its qualities.
ORGANIC MYRTLE EXTRACT: Sourced from the French Mediterranean region, myrtle is a plant containing a large amount of phenolic compounds; well-known for their antioxidant actions, to protect skin from oxidative stress.
It is a lovely cream, especially if you are prone to dry, dehydrated skin. Its gentle and non greasy formula feels lightweight on the skin and provides a really smooth base for makeup. I noticed especially how soft my skin felt after using this and how throughout the day my skin felt really hydrated.
I’m excited to see what products Gallinee will release next and I am impressed by their first collection. Its innovative and I like that they have harnessed the enormous benefits of helpful bacteria and created a very effective skincare brand with this at its very centre.
This comes out a really vibrant green shade which is cool and odd in equal measure! The product itself is so good and I have been through a few tubes of this over the past 2 years. Its amazing if you are pushed for time and want your skin to look fresh and bright as you only need to leave it on for 1 minute (so fast). You massage a small amount of warm water to activate the Vitamin C and let it get to work brightening your complexion. You leave the product on your skin for 1 minute then you rinse with warm water and thats when the tiny exfoliating beads get to work by buffing and removing dead skin and help fight the signs of fatigue, boost skins radiance levels and reduce imperfections.
This is a very pretty bronzing highlighter, its a great way of giving your skin that sun kissed look without having been in the sunshine. I just swirl my brush round all the colours and apply it with my duo fibre brush, using this type of brush I find I don’t pick up too much product on my brush. I am all about a subtle glow. I really like Soap & Glory face powders and I also like the Solar Powder too for days I want an even more low key look but still a nice subtle glow.
This is such a lovely part of my morning skincare routine, its so soothing and cooling. I keep it in the fridge so its nice and cold, I put a little liquid on each cotton pad then I hold them on my tired eyes for about a minute and it feels amazing. It contains naturally active ingredients including eyebright, witch hazel, aloe vera and cornflower to help tone, cool and refresh tired, puffy eyes. Nothing feels more soothing in the morning & I apply this whilst I’m waiting on the kettle to boil every morning. Does that count as multi tasking?!
This is quite a new discovery for me but I like how bright and pretty this cream shadow is. Its a champagne colour and helps make your eyes look bright and awake. Its a really nice everyday colour and I have been wearing it alone all over the lid. These apply really smoothly and are easy to blend, they contain vitamin E for soothing and smoothing the delicate eye area. So its an eyeshadow with a little extra skincare benefit too.
This mask came in a beauty box a while ago and I rediscovered it when I moved house last year and Its become my go to mask this Winter. The Facial Glow peel contains natural actives derived from apples, papayas, and orange peels to gently exfoliate dead skin cells; there’s also Kombuchka and Lumiskin to help refine the skin and boost radiance. Its a great product for getting rid of dead skin leaving your face looking bright and glowing. I only have a small travel size but I will be purchasing the larger tub because I can’t be without this in my routine.
Apply peel to clean, damp skin from neck to forehead. Do not scrub.
I have been mixing this with my foundation to give my skin that extra radiance. Its not glittery or shimmery it just reflects the light and adds a luminous glow to your skin & mixed in with my foundation it looks natural and really healthy. Its oil free so its not going to make your skin look greasy its a really great product for brightening tried looking skin and I have been using it daily over the Winter months.
What are your favourite products for achieving that Winter Glow?
