Roger & Gallet are a French Perfumery House founded in 1862 by merchant Charles Armand Roger and banker Charles Matial Gallet. Their products have such a rich history & they are famous for their beautiful scents which I have tried quite a few of but excitingly, 2015 see’s the release of Roger & Gallet first ever Eau de Parfum – Fleur de Figuier. I was lucky enough & thrilled to receive the most exquisite parcel from Roger & Gallet introducing me to this new release and I have fallen head over heels in love with it.

takes its inspiration from the beautiful Mediterranean Summers and encapsulates those sensual, sweet and fresh long Summer evenings.

‘Discover the bliss of an early evening spent in the Mediterranean garden of Esterel. This Eau de Parfum is a precious distillation of natural essences that reveals the intensity and sensuality of a sun-ripened fig heart. The mouth-watering and contrasting fresh notes enhance the accord of candied fig, musk and patchouli, for a truly relaxing effect.’

  • Top notes: precious essences of mandarin and pink peppers
  • Heart notes: fig tree leaves, juicy fig and violet wood
  • Base notes: white musk, candied fig and precious essence of patchouli

My absolute favourite scent in any product is Fig & if you’re a long time reader of my blog, you will know this. I adore the scent because it’s so rich, distinctive and sophisticated, and I think it’s a scent that can be worn all year round. This new addition to the Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier range is an intense, long-wearing scent that doesn’t dull throughout the day. I only have to apply this in the morning & It still smells beautiful on my skin long into the evening.

Some days I spray it & It smells really musky, whilst other days It smells more woody. I love that it’s such a layered and sophisticated perfume, and I have been reaching for it almost every day for 3 weeks.

If you’re looking for a new scent then I can highly recommend this new release from Roger & Gallet, it comes beautifully packaged in a glass bottle with touches of gold and purple and the scent is utterly divine. This is my favourite release from Roger & Gallet and I just know it will be a popular addition to their range.

Ted Baker has given their indulgent bath and body collection a Spring makeover and also introduced a few new editions with the gorgeous Sugar Sweet Collection. This collection depicts one of Ted Bakers most iconic floral prints, which is set against a backdrop of soft mint or pretty pink. Both collections look luxurious, but true to Ted Baker they’re affordable and ideal for everyday use.

I have two of the Soft Floral Pink products from the Sugar Sweet Collection, and I’ve been testing them out for a couple of weeks. Ted Baker describes it as,

Entwines the soft floral notes of jasmine & neroli, while the base of patchouli, sandalwood and musk completes the scent.

I had to look twice at the price because this is just the most beautifully packaged spring/summer scent. It’s just gorgeous, it has a cream & rose gold lid which had the letter T engraved on the top whilst the pink toned plastic travel-friendly bottle has almost a diamond prism cutout base. So feminine and amazingly affordable. I have been spritzing this since it landed on my doorstep last week. It is a body spray so it is lightweight and won’t be a scent that will last from morning to night, but it is ideal for popping in your handbag and spritzing on the go, it’s the perfect daytime scent. I’m very impressed.

Which comes beautifully packaged in a large pink squeeze tube with a pretty floral print, like the body spray this has rose gold touches with the letter T embossed at the top and a rose gold lid. It’s a simple touch, but it makes it look so much more luxurious and It’s why I love Ted Baker products, their attention to detail is spot on and you always feel like you’re getting such a treat. This perfumed body wash is a shower must have & it not only leaves your skin feeling soft & clean but also with a pretty subtle scent of jasmine & patchouli, which have to be two of my favourite scents.

Ted Baker always have such lovely gift sets & I have been trying out the new W Gift Set which features Ted’s S/S15 Distinguishing Rose packaging. The floral design is so detailed and makes this gift set look extra special and feel feminine & luxurious.

This Ted Baker W Gift Set* contains a 30ml W Eau de Toilette, a 100ml Body Wash and Body Lotion, so three great products. I think this set is ideal for any friend or family member, and would suit most ages too.

The W Body Lotion* & Body Wash* are products that always get used and for me, I can never have enough of either. These both have the same beautiful floral designs as the gift box & the same scent as the perfume, which smells Summery and girly. The body lotion is hydrating and absorbs quickly into the skin and the body wash is a lovely way to start the day, it smells fresh and Summery. So they make a great morning combination.

For me the W Eau de Toilette* is the stand-out product in this set, it’s presented in a really pretty triangular shaped glass bottle which feels heavy and luxurious. It’s such an unusual and pretty shape, I love it. The scent has,

  • Heart notes of Freesia, Rose, Ylang Ylang and Lily of the Valley
  • Top notes of Bergamot, Tangerine, Peach and Rum
  • Base notes of Vanilla, Musk and Vetiver

It has quite floral scent with a hint of sweetness to it. It’s a lovely Summery scent that would be really nice during the warmer months because it’s not a heavy or heady scent but instead smells fresh and lightweight, the perfect daytime perfume. This lasted all day on me. I sprayed some on my scarf a week ago & I can still smell it on there, so it is quite long-lasting. I love that the product is pink and looks really feminine, and this gift set is so inexpensive, at £14.99 you get three good-sized products and it’s beautifully packaged.

The new Limited Edition Intothe Glow Colour Collection from Michael Kors is perfect for Summer. This collection centres around that sun kissed holiday vibe and includes vibrant colours for nails and lips also a bronzer and a dry oil spray so you can achieve that iconic Michael Kores sun kissed glow.

The products are all beautiful and look so luxurious in the signature gold MK packaging, it just screams take me on holiday!

I have two products from the collection and the first is this gorgeous fushia pink Lip Luster Lip Gloss in the shade Getaway*. The colour is bright & summery and the finish is very glossy and thick but it still feels hydrating on the lips. This shade is really pigmented it would look really pretty with a tan. I’d say its the perfect holiday lip gloss. I found the gloss applied evenly and didn’t feel too sticky on the lips.

There are two new Hydrating Bronze Gel Cremes in this collection, I have the shade Sun Chaser*. This is a liquid bronzer for face & body, at first this product scared me & excited me all at once. I’m quite pale and I was really worried that this bronzer would make me look like an Ompa Lumpa, although this looks really dark in the pot once you blend it out on your skin its more subtle and adds a pretty glow to your complexion. So I use just the smallest amount of this & I apply it like a highlighter on my cheeks & it makes my skin look really healthy, there is a slight shimmer but its not disco ball – more sun kissed goddess.

I have also worn this under my foundation as an illuminating primer, it is very lightweight and feels hydrating on the skin. It leaves your skin with a gorgeous glowing base for you to apply your foundation and look radiant and sun kissed. Its not shimmery but has an iridescent pear finish that catches the light and makes your skin look healthy and gives you that jet set glow. This pot is going to last me for many summers to come as you need just the smallest amount. So it might be an investment but one that you will get a lot of use from.

It was so hard to swatch the Hydrating Bronze Gel – this is it just swatched on my arm, I haven’t blended it in and its already quite sheer. When blended you’re left with a hint of colour & a luminous warmth to the skin. So don’t be put off by how dark / bold it looks in the packaging its not that intense on the skin, although it can be built up to give more of an intense look.
