As I get older celebrity endorsed fragrances seem less and less appealing to me, they’re something I associate with being a teenager, in fact I’d almost written this one off before even trying it. I thought it was just going to be mediocre and not very me, but I have to say of all the products I have tried this year, makeup included this perfume from Michael Bublé has been the most surprising and has quickly become my go to scent. Who would have thought it!?
From the get go you just can’t fail to notice how beautiful and luxurious the bottle is, if feels very weighty and its HUGE. I love the way the bottle is suspended in the centre of a gold circle and it looks sophisticated and very elegant and that feeling is definitely reflected in the scent too. I like that the bottle isn’t aimed at a teen / younger market but its more classy and the details are subtle but pretty, it looks so nice sat on my dressing table.
This is a very sexy scent and I think that is what most people would expect from Michael Bublé but it has a real sophistication to the mix of notes and I like that it has a sweetness that once settled turns into a more musky scent. It has notes of,
Top notes of red fruits and bergamot
Middle notes of lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, peony and rose
Base notes of sandalwood, musk, vanilla and praline
I think you would be quite pleasantly surprised at how lovey and luxurious this perfume is. The scent is a result of Bublé’s collberation with leading French perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni who is behind some gorgeous scents such as Yves Saint Laurent Vice Versa, Gucci Envy Me and is now in-house perfumer at L’Occitane.
What I like most about this perfume is that it feels quite classic but has a modern edge to it, the combination of notes mean that throughout the day it settles giving you a lovely warm, rich, musky very elegant scent. I love peony and sandalwood in fragrances so actually its no wonder that I have fallen in love with this scent after all.
I urge you to give this a test and I know you will fall in love with it, even if like me you’ve not been a huge fan of Mr Bublé’s music.

This debut scent from Cosmopolitan comes beautifully packaged in a crisp white box with a pretty pink and orange bow. iIt looks simple and cute. The bottle itself is really pretty and the glass is almost ombre with shades of pink and orange, its a bottle that will look really nice sat out on your vanity. The glass is heavy and feels luxurious and it has a decorative cut glass effect lid.
The scent is very fruity and quite heady at first but it calms down to more of a mellow scent after a few minutes. It is going to be a very nice scent for the warmer months, it has notes of,
TOP: Pineapple, bergamot, cardamom, mandarin, nectarine and red berries.
MIDDLE: Saffron, heliotrope, night-blooming jasmine, pimento berries and carrot seed.
BASE: Tonka, Patchouli, musk, sandalwood, vanilla and caramel.
I love sandalwood and musk scents as these tend to be a little more masculine but paired with the more fruity scents it makes this fragrance quite complex and gives it a nice depth. I think this is a scent that people will really enjoy and people will be able to pick out different notes that they love.
The scent does last well on me and I can still smell it on my skin after many hours. I think its quite a fresh uplifting scent
Cosmo isn’t a brand I associate with fragrance but for their debut release I have to hand it to them, I really like it, its quite a sophisticated scent and it mellows into being really quite beautiful on the skin. Although the price point I think may be a little high. However it is an eau de parfum and the scent is long wearing. If you get chance to test it out in store, let me know what you think & if you’d say it was worth the price tag.
Roger & Gallet are a French Perfumery House founded in 1862 by merchant Charles Armand Roger and banker Charles Matial Gallet. Their products have such a rich history & they are famous for their beautiful scents which I have tried quite a few of but excitingly, 2015 see’s the release of Roger & Gallet first ever Eau de Parfum – Fleur de Figuier. I was lucky enough & thrilled to receive the most exquisite parcel from Roger & Gallet introducing me to this new release and I have fallen head over heels in love with it.

‘Discover the bliss of an early evening spent in the Mediterranean garden of Esterel. The mouth-watering and contrasting fresh notes enhance the accord of candied fig, musk and patchouli, for a truly relaxing effect.’
Top notes: precious essences of mandarin and pink peppers
Heart notes: fig tree leaves, juicy fig and violet wood
Base notes: white musk, candied fig and precious essence of patchouli
My absolute favourite scent in any product is Fig & if you’re a long time reader of my blog you will know this. I adore the scent because it’s so rich, distinctive and sophisticated and I think its a scent that can be worn all year round. This new addition to the Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier range is an intense, long-wearing scent that doesn’t dull throughout the day. I only have to apply this in the morning & It still smells beautiful on my skin long into the evening.
Some days I spray it & It smells really musky whilst other days It smells more woody. I love that its such a layered and sophisticated perfume and I have been reaching for it almost every day for 3 weeks.
If you’re looking for a new scent then I can highly recommend this new release from Roger & Gallet, it comes beautifully packaged in a glass bottle with touches of gold and purple and the scent is utterly divine. This is my favourite release from Roger & Gallet and I just know it will be a popular addition to their range.
