Pomegranate Punk

I did pick up 3 Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows from Maybelline when they came out in the UK. I picked up On and On Bronze, Permanent Taupe and Eternal Gold – all shades I get alot of wear out of esp the bronze shade. So like most beauty bloggers I always want what I cant get my hands on. I saw that Maybelline released alot more colour options in the USA and one colour on particular I really wanted, this being Pomegranate Punk & i couldn’t find it anywhere to buy.

A lovely fellow beauty blogger Casey of Beauty101 kindly let me buy hers – so all the way from  America via Germany came my Pomegranate Punk  & i LOVE it. It’s a lovely deep cranberry colour with a hint of sparkle. These eyeshadows are so easy to apply. I just use my finger most of the time & use them all over the lid. So quick and easy. Just what i need for those days when i can’t be too bothered to spend ages applying makeup.

This colour is really build able. I wore just a small amount and the colour pay off was great and lasted all day – but you could really make it look dramatic by building up the colour and blending it to a smokey eye look. The formula is really creamy and applies like a dream. These really do last all day too. I’m a huge fan of this colour & so glad Casey saw my plea and came to my rescue. The blogging community is so nice.

I’m glad to have this colour in my collection as i don’t have anything else like it and I plan to get alot of wear out of it too. Are there any products you have purchased that are unavailable in the UK?

Shopping My Stash Week 2

So i did this a while ago, then forgot to carry it on. I’ve had a busy couple of months what with family stuff and planning a move. Nothing ever goes smoothly. So whilst packing up some of my makeup for the move i picked out a few items of makeup to wear and this is what i picked out.

I’ve had the Duwop lipgloss for a while as it came a while back in a Glossybox & never used it – it smells amazing tho. So I’m excited to use this at last. Also my bareMinerals READY blush doesn’t get enough love as its gorgeous and gives you such a healthy colour. My No7 mascara is a firm fave and love this so much, it makes my lashes look super long. I have a few mascaras on the go and i try and use them all in turn over a week.

MUA do the best low budget eyeshadows so I’m excited to get some smokey eye looks out of this trio. My Shu Uemrua pink eyeshadows are great for a subtle everyday eye. They are so creamy and such great quality, I dont know why i dont use these more (too many eyeshadows that prob why).

As for my YSL foundation, I love this and the coverage is amazing, it lasts all day on the skin. In fact I will go so far as to say that it looks better after about an hour I’m not sure what happens on your face with this but it looks better over time. Weird but true. I wanted to use this up before trying out their new YSL Touche Éclat Foundation – but when packing away my makeup for the move I discovered a backup of of this. Do I pretend i didn’t find it & buy the Touche Éclat Foundation anyway? I think yes.

I am hoping to carry this shopping my stash on after I move in 2 weeks, once  I’ve unpacked all my beauty bits. It will feel like Christmas.

Small MeMeMe Haul

I picked a few bits up from MeMeMe Cosmetics online. As I saw on Zoe’s Youtube that she liked the foundation so i picked that up to give it a go. Along with a few more things. I did pick up a few more things whilst i was on their site, well I am a product junkie – you cant just order one thing right?!

So i picked up these goodies –

I have to say that when my shimmer stack arrived broken I contacted MeMeMe and they couldn’t have been more helpful and swift to send out a replacement along with a free nail polish. I was really pleased with their customer service and chuffed to have another nail polish to try. So I highly recommend their online shop – they give great service.

So far I’ve only managed to try the nail polish, it a lovely formulation and has a large brush which I really like – so easy to apply nail polish with a big brush. Even I manage to have half decent looking nails using this polish. With my top coat I got 3 days out of this polish and no chips – I could’ve got a bit longer but I always change my polish up throughout the week. At the moment on their site you can get £1 off these polishes.

(Please excuse my unsightly cuticles – I need a mani so bad)

I will keep you posted on how i get on with the other items – I’m excited to try them all. Do you have any other recommendations from this line or have you tried anything from MeMeMe?

I will leave you with a pic of the Shimmer Stack, can’t wait to use this I’ve been looking for a great highlighter / bronzer for a while.

Garnier Tinted Eye Roll – On

Garnier Tinted Eye Roll -On, I’ve had this for about 2 months and didn’t use it for a long time. Not too sure why – I think I wasn’t too sure where to incorporate it into my routine. I picked it up in superdrug on their 3 for 2 deals. I wanted to see what it was all about really. I picked it up in the colour meduim.

First off i think i got the wrong colour – well i thought i would’ve been a little more tanned than i am. But due to the lack of summer in Britain i am still as pale as I was in December. So my face is pale too. This would have been a great colour for my summer self. Right, so its a little dark for me right now but i have been wearing it and making it work for my pale skin.

The ball has a cooling feeling on the undereye area which is really nice. I put this on over my foundation i used two sweeps under the eye then patted it in, its like a mini massage. I think that helps wake your eyes up. It does the job of covering dark circles – but I don’t think it would cover heavy duty dark circles.  I think its more the caffeine element that makes your eyes look more awake, but thats not a long term solution. It’s what i would call a quick fix. It would work well if you didn’t need alot of concealor and like a more natural look.

I would also say that it has a little highlighter quality to it, so thats great at brightening your undereye area. You can pick this up at Boots & Superdrug for £9 – £10 for 15ml I dont think i would pay full price for this but its worth a go. If you’re like me I need to try things and see what they are all about.

I agree its very hydrating and illuminating, but I think there are better concealors out there that are longer wearing. Have you tried this what did you think?
