A Few More Skincare Empties Feb 2025

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

What an iconic product, I have been using it for over 15 years and have been through so many bottles.  The scent is beautiful, botanical and reminds me of Summer holidays, as I always take a mini bottle away with me for refreshing my skin on flights and after a day in the sun, I also really like to use it to freshen up my makeup. Caudalie always use the best natural ingredients in their skincare and this mist is jam packed with them. There is no better way to give your skin and mood an instant boost, this is a must-have product in your beauty routine and I love it, the blend of essential oils, plant extracts, and antioxidants, really work wonders.

Green grape: Hydrating and radiance boosting and protects from free radicals.
Rose essential oil: Hydrating and soothing.
Rosemary essential oil:Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial.
Orange Blossom: Calming and soothing

You can use it as a toner, a setting spray, or a refreshing spritz throughout the day. I think it’s one of those product you always have and always go back too, it is simple, but effective.

*Teoxane Eye Cream

If you haven’t heard of this brand, you have to go and read my more in depth review of them here. This eye cream is highly regarded in the skincare world for its innovative use of TEOXANE’s patented RHA (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) technology, which is often found in injectable treatments but seamlessly integrated into this eye cream for at-home use. It is nothing short of fantastic, I am not exaggerating. Years of scientific research and innovation have gone into all their products. This product targets the early signs of ageing and works to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, reduce dark circles, and minimise puffiness. I like the cooling metal applicator which not only feels refreshing but also helps to de-puff the under-eye area, it is like a spa treatment.

RHA (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid): Provides long-lasting hydration, plumps the skin, and smooths fine lines.
Dermo-Restructuring Complex: Nourishes and protects with amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins & minerals.
NovHyal: Stimulates natural hyaluronic acid production for skin regeneration and repair.
Escin (from Horse Chestnut Extract): Reduces puffiness and improves micro-circulation.
Caffeine: Helps diminish dark circles and reduce under-eye swelling
Arnica Extract: Soothes and reduces inflammation, calming the eye area.

It has a fragrance-free formula that ensures even the most sensitive skin types can benefit from this eye cream without irritation. I also like that the formula is lightweight and silky in texture and I find it absorbs quickly, I used it morning and night. I am sad I have used it all up, but despite the high price tag, I will be repurchasing as I have seen great results.

UpCircle Night Cream with Hyaluronic Acid + Niacinamide

This was such a lovely product to use, the scent is beautiful, and the cream has a rich texture which leaves your skin feeling velvety smooth. I had seen this brand a lot over the past few years but had never tried anything from them before, this was a great first product to try, and now I have a list of things I want to from their range.

Hyaluronic Acid: Deeply hydrates, plumps skin, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Balances oil production, evens skin tone, reduces redness, and minimises pores.
Upcycled Blueberry Extract: Rich in antioxidants, protects against free radicals & promotes skin repair.
Rosehip Oil: Nourishes, hydrates, and supports skin regeneration, reducing scars and fine lines.
Shea Butter: Provides intense hydration, soothes dry skin, and improves skin elasticity.
Aloe Vera: Calms irritation, hydrates, and helps heal and soothe sensitive or inflamed skin.

So if you are looking for a night cream that is fantastic for hydration, soothing and radiance, this is the one.

L’Oreal Age Perfect Toner

One of my favourite affordable skincare products, it is such a staple in my routine. It gently exfoliates and helps give your skin a healthy glow. I prefer to use it in the morning as it helps smooth skin, calms redness and combats fatigue, so your skin looks fresh, plump and radiant. I have been through countless bottles and always buy it for my mum too, she loves it. It contains some great ingredients,

Magnesium: Reduces inflammation and combats fatigue
Vitamin C:  Brightens skin and helps even out skin tone
Witch Hazel Extract: Soothes irritated skin

This toner is antioxidant-rich and helps protect against environmental stressors, it’s hydrating and helps refresh skin to give it that and healthy glow. It is just a great product.

*Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Serum

This cream is so luxurious and the scent of Jurlique’s rose products is so familiar and soothing to me that I just love them. This eye serum was so hydrating and nourishing around my eye area, it helped me to look refreshed and more awake. It is also great at reducing dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, and dehydration, so quite the powerhouse product.

  • Glycerin and avocado oil: ensures that the skin around your eyes remains hydrated, moisturised and smooth.
  • Botanical extracts: such as viola tricolour, yarrow, and Japanese cedar bud provide antioxidant protection, promote elasticity, reduce signs of ageing.

I think the Herbal Recovery range from Jurlique has had a revamp, as I can’t find this specific product to link to. It appears they now offer two eye products in that range. I especially like the sound of the eye oil roll on. I can honestly say there is not a product from this brand that I have not enjoyed, they always put quality ingredients into their entire range.

*L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Le Duo Serum

This is quite a new release from L’Oreal and I love the concept & the clever formula – you get two serums in one, which means double the ingredients to help with wrinkles, firmness, and radiance. On one side, there’s a collagen peptide booster serum that really helps rebuild firmness and smooth out those wrinkles. On the other, it’s packed with Vitamin B3 and C to boost radiance and even out the skin tone. I took it with me on my recent trips to Amsterdam, London, and Manchester, and was so impressed with how my skin stayed glowing and hydrated, even with all the recycled plane air and hotel AC. The formula is rich but not heavy – it nourishes and hydrates from the first use. Loved it, I have repurchased it and haven’t stopped using it.

Have you tried this yet, or spotted it in stores? If you’re missing a targeted anti-wrinkle serum in your skincare routine, this is definitely a must-try.

Miller Harris Peau Santal

This is honestly a fragrance I can’t get enough of. I’ve been through countless (pretty pink) bottles of it, and it still remains my absolute favourite from the brand. I’ve tried quite a few of their other offerings, and while they’re all stunning, Peau Santal just has that something special. It is without a doubt my most worn scent, the one I feel the most confident wearing, and without fail, it’s always the fragrance I make sure to have in my collection. There’s something so comforting yet sophisticated about it, with that beautiful balance of warmth and elegance. It’s definitely a signature scent for me.

Head Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Saffron
Heart Notes: Sandalwood, Olibanum, Violet Leaf, Papyrus
Lasting Impressions: Sandalwood, Cashmere Woods, Crisp Amber, Vanilla

Top 3 Perfumes

I was asked recently what my favourite perfumes were, and I knew right away what to say. I absolutely love fragrance and have quite a few that I like and love, but there are always 4/5 that will stand head and shoulders above the rest.

First, I want to talk about the London based perfume house, Miller Harris, founded in 2000 they like to blend British luxury with couture sophisticated fragrance. This is a brand I am always recommending and no matter what perfume I am wearing from them, I always, always get compliments & no-one has heard of them. If you ever get the opportunity to visit a store or a stockist you have to try them, you will not be disappointed.

I have tried a number of their fragrances and have 3 that are my must-haves, Rose Silence is a more subtle, fresh carefree scent, Powdered Veil is a rich, fresh, sexy and warm. Whilst Peau Santal, which is what I will talk more about in this post, is my number one perfume from Miller Harris. It is deep, creamy, woody, and slightly masculine. I adore it!

Diptique Philosykos EDP £140

This has to be one of the most luxurious and iconic beauty brands, their products, and branding are quite Iconic. I have owned a number of their candles (if I won the lottery, I would treat myself to the HUGE 5 wick ones)  and I’m always blown away by how good the quality is and just how intense the scent is. Always worth the price tag. I have also heard good reviews about of their beauty products, although I have yet to try them myself.

Now their perfumes are quite special too, and I like a lot of them, but my go-to most repurchased one has to be their classic fig scent, the iconic Philosykos. It is fresh but intense and sweet all at the same time. I also like that is is quite romantic and earthy too. It has layers of notes that you can smell throughout the day, as it settles. I know most people would associate this perfume with Summer, but I will be wearing it into Autumn & Winter, I think the crispness of the notes make it a nice fresh scent for the colder months too.

When I wear it I feel happy, and I can smell it on myself all day long, this perfume has some serious staying power. It is intense and rich, and luckily a few sprays is all you need (I don’t want it to run out too quickly).

Top Notes – Fig Leaf
Middle Notes – Wood, Coconut
Base Notes – White Cedar

Miller Harris Peau Santal Perfume £140

This is my happiness in a bottle, it smells incredible and so luxurious, it makes me feel amazing whenever I wear it.  It has a rich, warm creamy scent, but you get a hint of fresh, airy crisp notes as it settles. I’m not exaggerating when I say this perfume is the most sophisticated and beautiful perfume I have ever owned, and I love quite a few Miller Harris perfumes, but this one has something special. My lovely husband bought this bottle for my Christmas, but I also own the smaller size just so I can take it when I travel. So I am never without it.

The woody notes add a real touch of warmth and class, whilst the bergamot and cashmere give it creaminess and class. The pink pepper, amber and vanilla make it modern and very sexy.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper and Saffron
Heart Notes: Olibanum, Violet Leaf and Papyrus
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Cashmere Woods, Crisp Amber, Vanilla CO2 Extract and Moss

The bottle is beautiful, and the dusky pink colour gives it a classy feel. The simple gold accents on the font and the lid add a touch of luxury, the bottle is very weighty too and feels so nice in your hand and also looks great on your vanity.

& Other Stories Arabesque Wood £28

This is a gorgeous fragrance, more affordable but equally lovely as the other two scents. This perfume is layers of woody, warm citrus notes that are light but rich. I wear this mostly in the day, as my everyday scent. The rich notes like ginger, citrus and amber make it feel indulgent and luxurious. & Other Stories have a such a wonderful selection of fragrances, they have something to fit everyone’s tastes.

The bottle is dainty but weighty, so it looks minimal and classy on your vanity. These fragrances make incredible gifts and the scents come in a body spray, handwash and hand cream, so you can go wild with your favourite scents!

Top notes: Lemon, Ginger and Watery Notes
Middle notes: Petitgrain and Tangerine
Base notes: Agarwood (Oud), Oakmoss and Amber

What are your favourite, most worn fragrances? Have you tried any of the ones I’ve mentioned.

Miller Harris Lost In The City Fragrance

Miller Harris LOST in the City Fragrance

Lost In The City Miller Harris Fragrance

Miller Harris Lost in the City EDP – 100ml/£125

Although I currently live in the beautiful Cornish countryside I’m 100% a city girl at heart so this beautiful fragrance from Miller Harris really appealed to me. Miller Harris has created a fragrance that gives a nod to the beauty of rural Britain but with an urban twist. They wanted to use ingredients that can be found growing wild in London which makes this fragrance a wonderful mix of the fresh outdoors combined with hints of a Summer in a city.  Lost in the city really is everything you can imagine and more. I am loving its crisp, fresh notes especially as Spring is fast approaching.

Miller Harris EDP Lost

The fresh, lush notes really contrast with crisp, sharp notes and that’s what makes this fragrance really interesting and just the right amount of unusual to make it different. It has everything I look for in a fragrance and more.

Head Notes: Bergamot Zest, Angelica Seed, Blackcurrant

Heart Notes: Rhubarb, Rose petals, Geranium

Base Notes: Earl Grey Tea, Crisp Amber, Musk

I love the initial zesty, fruity notes, they’re so refreshing and work so well layered with the pretty light floral notes of rose and geranium mixed with that bold sharp rhubarb which is so unusual. Finally, the rich musk, amber and Earl Grey tea leave you with such an intense, warm and sophisticated scent. This perfume is such a treat and the notes contrast yet compliment each other and that for me makes it a stand-out perfume. I have been loving wearing it, and it is a fragrance that lasts ALL day long, it does not fade away but stays full and rich for hours. It is such a luxurious scent, and it makes me feel amazing when I wear it.

Miller Harris LOST Perfume

In keeping with Miller Harris’ environmental principles, the packaging uses sustainable or recycled materials in surprising new ways, teaming up with Smile Plastics, whose unique composites are made from waste materials, from bottle tops to yoghurt pots, to create distinctive and beautiful fragrance holders which can be reused as keepsake boxes. It looks almost like marble, and the bottle looks really pretty sat in the holder on your vanity. It is so nice to see a brand using recycled materials in their packaging.

I think this is the ideal scent for the fresh, warmer months, so if you’re looking to add a new fragrance to your collection I highly recommend checking out Miller Harris Lost in the City.

Miller Harris Rose Silence Perfume

Rose Silence Fragrance from Miller Harris

Miller Harris Rose Silence

I was first introduced to Miller Harris 2 years ago and instantly fell in love. I’ve tried four of their fragrances but for me, their Rose Silence perfume is simply stunning and has become my everyday scent. You know that feeling when you find a perfume that makes you feel amazing when you wear it? well, that is how Rose Silence makes me feel.

Miller Harris was founded 15 years ago by expert parfumer Lyn Harris who spent five years training in Paris, then in Grasse at Robertet, the world’s leader in natural aromatic ingredients. Whilst respecting tradition, Miller Harris strives to push the boundaries, creating exquisitely crafted fragrances that are innovative yet timeless. Miller Harris perfumes are beautiful, luxurious and timeless.

Miller Harris Rose Silence Perfume

I have the perfume in all three of the sizes available 100ml, 50ml and a 15ml handbag spray. I use this perfume on a daily basis, always have the mini bottle in my handbag and even take it away with me on holiday. It has become my signature scent.

I love that this is very much a modern, romantic take on a Rose perfume. It isn’t the slightest bit old fashioned or powdery. You can make out the sweetness of the blackcurrant and I love the touch of musk too, it makes it very sexy and contemporary. It has notes of,

  • Top notes: mandarin, blackcurrant

  • Heart notes: rose

  • Base notes: patchouli, cashmere musk

I seem to be drawn to fragrances that have patchouli in them and I think it works so well with the sweet/fruity notes of blackcurrant and mandarin which give it a zesty feel. Whilst the cashmere adds a romantic softness.

The rose notes are very delicate and combined with the other notes make this a very sensual and romantic scent which is easy to wear. It smells light and fresh but also has incredible staying power, I have noticed that a couple of sprays in the morning will last well into the evening, I can always still smell it on my clothes when I get back home. The quality of Miller Harris fragrance is such that a little product goes a long way and a bottle will last you months and months.

Favourite Perfume from Miller Harris

I love the square, chunky bottles. They feel weighty and luxurious, their simple black stencil-like design gives it them a very contemporary minimalist vibe. Everything about this brand is focused on quality, elegance and luxury. Their products make the most thoughtful, exquisite gifts.

Rose Silence Miller Harris Luxury Perfume

I am just head over heels in love with this scent and I just don’t feel like I’m ready for the day without it. It’s a scent which that lasts all day and I always have so many people asking what perfume I’m wearing, it seems to be a scent that appeals to a lot of people of all different ages.

I need to try the bath and body products from this collection too – I can imagine just how amazing the body lotion would smell on my skin.

Have you tried any perfumes from Miller Harris? Or have I managed to convince you to track down a counter and give them a go? I hope so.
